Bakgrund: Sexuell hälsa är en viktig del av den allmänna hälsan och påverkar individers välbefinnande. För att kunna ge en personcentrerad vård kan det vara av vikt att vara medveten om patienternas upplevelser av samtal om sin sexuella hälsa. Alla medlemmar i ett tvärprofessionellt team har ett delat ansvar för att ge vård av god kvalitet utifrån patientens personliga behov. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva patienters erfarenheter av samtal om sin sexuella hälsa i vårdmötet. Metod: En litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats baserad på 13 studier funna i databaserna PubMed och CINAHL med inriktning omvårdnad. Artiklarna granskades utefter relevans samt kvalitet och analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Upplevelser identifierades och bildade fyra stycken huvudkategorier: Samtalets betydelse för patienten, faktorer som påverkar om samtal förs, faktorer som påverkar samtalet samt patientens önskningar i samtal om sexuell hälsa. I resultatet framkom att vårdpersonal sällan eller aldrig initierar samtal om sexuell hälsa med patienterna. Tidpunkten för samtal om sexuell hälsa var viktigt för patienterna och likaså deras relation till vårdpersonalen. Slutsats: Brister hittades i patientens möjlighet att samtala om sin sexuella hälsa i vårdmötet. Vårdpersonal tog sällan initiativ till samtal. / Background: Sexual health is an important part of the overall health and affects the individual well being. To be able to give person-centered care it can be of importance to be aware of patients' experience of conversations about their own sexual health. All members of an interprofessional team have a shared responsibility to give good quality care from the patients personal need. Objective: The aim of the literature study was to describe the patient experiences of conversations about their sexual health in the care meeting. Method: A literature study with qualitative approach based on 13 studies found in the databases PubMed and CINAHL with focus on nursing. The studies are reviewed according to relevance, quality and the analysis was made with a qualitative content analysis. Results: Experiences were identified and formed 4 main categories: The meaning of the conversation for the patient, factors that affect if the conversation is held, Factors that affect the conversation and patient wishes in conversations about sexual health. The result showed that health care staff rarely or never initiated conversations about sexual health with patients. The timing conversation about sexual health was of importance to the patients as well as the relationship to the health care staff. Conclusion: There was a lack of opportunities for patients to have conversations about their sexual health in the care meeting. Health care staff rarely initiated the conversation.
