Využití Internet marketingu v lázeňství / Usage of the Spa Internet Marketing

GOTTWALDOVÁ, Jana January 2010 (has links)
The theme I have chosen for my diploma thesis is named "Usage of the Spa Internet Marketing``. It is focused on the Spa in Hodonín and the results of the marketing research which assignes the great importance to the internet during the process of information and the point-to-point communication with customers. Hodonín Spa is young and modern facilities located in the South Moravia, whose sole owner has been the city of Hodonín since 1993. The Equipment is used to treat the musculoskeletal system, relaxation, and also offers reconditioning wellness stays. The aim of this study is evaluate the current use of the Internet Marketing Spa, its coverage and propose ways to improve in this area. The operational objective is to determine customer satisfaction - self-payers - the internet presentation of the Spa, their attitudes and opinions of the other tools of Internet communication. The basic terms and the Internet Marketing methods are defined in the theorethic section of the diploma. These findings became the basis for a personal interview with a marketing specialist and to define and evaluate the tools of communication of the Spa. The lists of questions were the way used to collect the primary facts about the customer´s satisfaction and their attitude to the www presentation. Consider the finance, personal, technical and other possibillities the Hodonín Spa´s internet activities fulfil the function very well even in the confrontation with other similar facilities. The research results and the Facebook realized advertising campaign on my own found out the improvement ways and the new suggestions of a ppc advertising, an emailing, a sales promotion and social networks. The improvement of effectivity communication with clients was the goal of these suggestions. The Spa´s internet activity is necessary at the present competition time. The Marketing department should adequately reacts on this situation to improve the customer relations.

Ambiente integrado de modelagem distribuída para sistemas de informação na internet / Integrated environment for distributed modeling of web information systems

Pompermaier, Leandro Bento January 1999 (has links)
The main goal of this work is to explore some issues related to collaborative development of information systems on the Internet. A Diagrammatic Editor on the Internet (EDI) that supports collaborative specification of applications is described. This editor uses hyperdocument technology and funcionalities, offering features such as information sharing, collaboration between several authors, multiple views of the stored conceptual data, among others. EDI was implemented using the Java language, and designed with the purpose of being generic to enable the easy creation of specific editors for different diagrammatic notations. The use of annotations for the joint development of information systems on the Internet is proposed. With these annotations the development process becomes more collaborative and the quality of the final product may increase. Annotations are based on two types of users: the owner, who is an author responsible for the creation of a document, and the collaborator, who makes annotations on those documents. Annotations (identified by one specific colour) can be of inclusion, change and removal of concepts (views), or recording of comments.

Frontiers in Crowdsourced Data Integration

Braunschweig, Katrin, Eberius, Julian, Thiele, Maik, Lehner, Wolfgang 26 November 2020 (has links)
There is an ever-increasing amount and variety of open web data available that is insufficiently examined or not considered at all in decision making processes. This is because of the lack of end-user friendly tools that help to reuse this public data and to create knowledge out of it. Therefore, we propose a schema-optional data repository that provides the flexibility necessary to store and gradually integrate heterogeneous web data. Based on this repository, we propose a semi-automatic schema enrichment approach that efficiently augments the data in a “pay-as-you-go” fashion. Due to the inherently appearing ambiguities we further propose a crowd-based verification component that is able to resolve such conflicts in a scalable manner.

Database metadata requirements for automated web development : a case study using PHP

Mgheder, Mohamed Ahmed January 2009 (has links)
The Web has come a long way. It started as a distributed document repository and quickly became the spring board for a new type of application. Propped on top of the original HTML+HTTP architecture, this new application platform shifted the way the architecture was used so that commands and functionality were embedded in the form data of Web requests rather than in the HTTP command conveying the request. This approach enabled Web requests to convey any type of data, not just document operations. This is occurring because the Web provides such a powerful platform on which to create applications. This is occurring because web development methods are still evolving toward the structure and stability required taking on this enormous new role. As the needs of developers change, certain themes that arise more frequently than others become embedded into new environments to support those needs. Until recently, Web application programming has largely been done with a set of keywords and metaphors developed long before the Web became a popular place to program. APIs have been developed to support Web specific features, but they are no replacement for fundamental changes in the programming environment itself. The growth of Web applications requires a new type of programming designed specifically for the needs of the Web. This thesis aims to contribute towards the development of an abstract framework to generate abstract and dynamic Web user interfaces that are not developed to a specific platform. To meet this aim, this thesis suggests a general implementation of a prototype system that uses the information in database metadata in conjunction with PHP. Database metadata is richer in providing the information needed to build dynamic user interfaces. This thesis uses PHP and the abstract library ADOdb to provide us with a generalised database metadata based prototype. PHP does not have any restrictions on accessing and extracting database metadata from numerous database management systems. As a result, PHP and relational database were used to build the proposed framework. Additionally, ADOdb was used to link the two mentioned technologies. The implemented framework in this thesis demonstrates that it is possible to generate different automatic Web entry forms that are not specific at any platform.

Metadata på webben : en studie av metadata och dess användning på sex svenska högskolors och universitets webbplatser / Metadata on the Internet : a study of metadata and its use at Web sites of six Swedish universities and colleges

Stenäng, Marie January 2000 (has links)
The purpose of this Master's thesis is to study metadata and its use at Web sites of six Swedish universities and colleges. Each Web site has been examined at three different hierarchical levels and the total number of examined Web pages is 258. 16 questionnaires have also been sent to webmasters at the six universities and colleges. The results show that metadata refers to the data which can assist to organize, describe, identify, locate, evaluate and retrieve resources on the Internet. Even though there are several different metadata formats available on the Internet, the commercial search engines only support the HTML's title tag and the meta tags with the attributes keywords and description. The six examined Web sites use the meta tag to some extent. The metadata format Dublin Core is represented in a small number of the examined Web pages. Search engines usually present the title tag and the description tag of Web pages in the search results. Therefore, it seems especially important to provide good title and description tags. The study of the three different hierarchical levels at each Web site shows a difference in the use of metadata. At some levels the HTML's meta tag is not used at all. In the questionnaires, the webmasters describe the Web sites as decentralized, where each webmaster only answers for his/her part of the Web site. The differences in the use of metadata could be due to each webmaster's interest and knowledge of metadata. / Uppsatsnivå: D

Användarvänlig design av bibliotekskataloger på webben. / User-friendly design of library catalogues on the web.

Lindgren, Karin January 2000 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to study a number of standards and theories, from the two research areas human-computer interaction and psychology, about how a graphical user interface (GUI) should be composed in order to facilitate interaction between humans and computers. Special emphasis is put on how the GUI should take into consideration the strengths and limitations of human cognition and perception. A study of three web catalogues shows how these theories appear when concretised. The following questions are answered in this thesis:What guidelines and styleguides can be found that specify the design of a user-friendly GUI?How do a few library catalogues on the web match a selection of these design principles? The guidelines are extracted from literature concerning human-computer interaction, psychology, automated library systems and web design. The standards are ISO 9241 Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual display terminals, and standardised icons from the International Federation of Library Associations. The web catalogues were studied through a questionnaire handed to five people. These catalogues belong to Lund University Library, Frank L. Cubly Library and Spencer Library Media Center. The different aspects studied were icons, information, terminology, orientation, graphics, colours and moving objects. In some cases the catalogues match the guidelines studied, in some cases they do not. Reasons affecting the choice of guidelines are the application, the users and their work, and the hardware. Reasons why guidelines are not used can be that designers do not understand or know them, or that they have found better solutions. / Uppsatsnivå: D

Svenska nyhetssöktjänster på webben : En utvärdering av Yahoo! Nyheter och Sesams återvinningseffektivitet / Swedish news search engines on the Web : An evaluation of Yahoo! News and Sesam’s retrieval effectiveness

Sigurd, Therese January 2007 (has links)
The aim of this Master’s thesis is to examine the retrieval performance of two search engines, Yahoo! News and Sesam, specialized on indexing news articles in Swedish. Thirty search questions were used in this study, divided into three different categories: domestic news, amusement and sport. Precision has been calculated both for the 30 search questions as a total and for the three categories as well. Precision was calculated at every DCV-level and then divided with the number of search questions used, in an attempt to reach an average measure. An analysis was also used were precision was calculated over all the DCV-levels for each question in attempt to see how the search engines perform for a given search question and a given search engine. The relevance of the top 10 retrieved documents was judged using a binary scale. The result of the study shows little difference in precision between the two search engines. Yahoo! News performs slightly better than Sesam in most cases. The results show much variation between the search engines regarding how they perform per given search question. Much of the underlying techniques used by the search engines is not know for the public why the methods used in the study, for example the terms chosen as search terms, choice of highest DCV-level et cetera, and how these different choices made may had an impact on the result in the study is discussed rather than underlying technical functions. / Uppsatsnivå: D
