Sociological Research of TV Audience Behaviour Factors Determining The Time Spent Watching TV ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the phenomenon of TV viewing and with TV audience behaviour research. The theoretical part demarcates watching TV within leisure activities and deals with the question of motivation for watching TV as well. It also mentions the approach of people who intentionally try to exclude TV from their life. The text does not omit even the important contemporary determinants of watching TV - Internet and digitization of TV broadcasting. Subsequently, the main methods of TV audience behaviour research in the Czech Republic are introduced. In the empirical part, the main factors that most affect the time spent watching TV are being identified - first through separate elementary analyses and afterwards through searching for a regression model that would best predict the time spent watching TV for individuals and groups based on their socio-demographic and other characteristics. Darbo objektas – fizinio aktyvumo, sveikatos bei savęs vertinimo ryšys su laiku, praleidžiamu prie TV ir kompiuterio.
Tyrimo problema. Medikams ir sveikatos specialistams nerimą kelia blogėjanti moksleivių sveikata (Zaborskis ir Makari, 2001; Goštautas ir Šeibokaitė, 2006; Zaborskis ir Vareikienė, 2008). Lyginant Lietuvos 1994 ir 1998 metų tyrimo duomenis su kitų šalių duomenimis, nustatyta didelė nepakankamai fiziškai aktyvių paauglių dalis. Lietuva, pagal nepakankamai fiziškai aktyvių moksleivių dalį, užima paskutiniąsias vietas (Zaborskis ir Makari, 2001). Daugėja moksleivių, laiką leidžiančių prie kompiuterio ir televizoriaus ekranų. 2002 metų tyrimo duomenimis, 50,4 proc. Lietuvos berniukų ir 64,4 proc. mergaičių yra nepakankamai fiziškai aktyvūs (Zaborskis ir Lenciauskienė, 2006). Tyrimų duomenimis maždaug kas trečias (32,2 proc.) 11, 13 ir 15 metų moksleivis savo sveikatą vertina patenkinamai arba blogai (Zaborskis ir Vareikien, 2008). Nepakankamo fizinio aktyvumo ir sveikatos sutrikimų priežasčių reikėtų ieškoti analizuojant šiuolaikinėje visuomenėje populiariausių informacinių technologijų, tokių kaip televizija ir kompiuteris, naudojimo paplitimą tarp moksleivių. Esami tyrimų rezultatai pagrindžia problemos aktualumą ir skatina šios srities mokslinius tyrimus.
Darbo tikslas – nustatyti moksleivių fizinio aktyvumo, sveikatos bei savęs vertinimo ryšį su laiku, praleidžiamu prie TV ir kompiuterio.

Problem of research. Doctors and health experts have worries about the worsening health of students (Zaborskis and Makari, 2001; Goštautas and Šeibokaitė, 2006; Zaborskis and Vareikienė, 2008). When comparing the research data of 1994 and 1998 with the data in other countries, a big part of physically inactive students has been observed. According to the part of physically inactive students, Lithuania takes the last places (Zaborskis and Makari, 2001). The number of students spending time at the computer and TV is increasing. According to the 2002 research, 50,4 per cent of Lithuania’s boys and 64,4 per cent of Lithuania’s girls are not sufficiently active (Zaborskis and Lenciauskienė, 2006). According to the survey, nearly every third (32.2 per cent) of students aged 11, 13 and 15 evaluate their health as satisfactory or bad (Zaborskis and Vareikienė, 2008). Such results show the actuality of the problem and encourage research in this field. The lack of physical activity and health disorders reasons must be sought in today's society information technologies such as analyze the prevalence of use television and computer among school children. Current research results support the relevance of the problemandencourage research in this area.

Title: Body composition, fitness and life style of children at the younger school age at the Liberec region Objectives: The aim of this work is the evaluation of the body composition of pupils at the younger school age at the Liberec region, to check their fittness and to estimate the correlation between these factors, the amount of physical activity, the way of alimentation and the way of spending their leisure time. Methods: The body composition of the set of 41 children of the age 8 and 10 years (25 boys (i.e. 61%) and 16 girls ( i.e. 39%)) was tested by the measurement on the BODYSTAT apparatus. The fitness of this set was estimated by three motoric tests: the long jump (without run-up), the shuttle run 4x10m and the staying at the over-gripped pull-up. The amount of the physical activity, the way the nutrition and the spending of the leisure time was obtained by the written questionnaire with the help of the modified Dotazník 6. CAV 2001 pro děti a mládež. Results: In the considered set of children, the overweight or obesity was estimated in the case of 10 children (i.e. 24,4%) from BMI percentil graphs and in the case of 5 children (i.e. 12,2%) according to the body fat measured by the BODYSTAT apparatus. Počátky televizního vysílání v Československu a formování jeho divácké obce / The beginnings of television broadcasting in Czechoslovakia and the formation of its audiencePrchlíková, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
The author aims to focus the work on the formation of audiences from the early days of television. The key is to introduce readers to the beginnings of broadcasting from the perspective of the viewer, not just the overview of the history of television broadcasting in Czechoslovakia. The studied time period is mainly the 50s of 20th century with a brief insight into the interwar period. In the end the author compares the past with current state of television entertainment. The work is methodologically processed by archival research and professional literature in combination with the oral history method using real interviews with narrators. This leads to a comparison of officially available information about the beginnings of television broadcasting with the testimony of their direct audience.However, the result of the research is a mutual agreement in the field of television technology (first receivers), as well as in the sphere of program distribution, in the social area and also it presents how popular was the television in leisure activities of population in the 50s60s of 20th century.

This diploma thesis has been focused on the relationship of pupils in the 1. -3. grade of elementary school to the contemporary fairy tales. The theoretical part of my work is focused on the fairy tale as a genre (classic folk and modern fairy tale), on the media influence of the fairy tale, on its current status, development trends, the influence of recipient etc. My work has an investigative character too. It has been focused on the reading behavior of pupils, their behavior, the influence of family and school, on the development of reading, respectively focusing on this genre, on the influence of media etc. Based on questionnaires and interviews with pupils and their parents I will try to capture the current status. The research results are compared with the theoretical part and are supported with the attachment. The results are interpreted in the conclusion.
