Měření difúsního koeficientu membrán dialyzačních filtrů / Measurement of Dialyser-Membrane Diffusion CoefficientKašák, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the measurement of diffusion coefficient of dialysis membrane. The first part describes possibilities of membrane modelling. Basic models, which allow us to determine the basic characteristics of dialysis membranes like permeability and diffusion coefficient, are described. Next chapter deals with basic types and properties of membranes. The main part focuses on making the experimental installation, which is used to simulate permeance of contrast agent, used in DCE-MRI, through dialysis membrane. The last theoretical chapter describes calculations used to estimate diffusion coefficient. Practical part of this thesis uses a designed experimental installation for estimation of diffusion coefficient for two contrast agents Gadovist® and Multihance®.

Bezpečnost technických systémů / Safety of technological systemsJiříček, Petr January 2009 (has links)
The work deals with the safety of technological systems and can be divided into two main thematic units. The attention in the first theoretic unit is paid to aspects that affect the safety of technological systems during their technical life. It describes, together with elementary norms and acts solving the products safety, the most important principles for creating and analysing the safety. It clarifies the origin of company’s risk management, part of its quality management, mentions the faults in which products can be found and also describes the failures which have the biggest effect on these faults and of course on the safety too. Attention is further paid to the reliability analysis, as the tool that helps to create the products safety in the pre-manufacturing phase and also to technical diagnostic, as the tool to keep the safety in after-manufacturing phase. The second practical unit arithmetically analyses the safety of two high-voltage transformers. For that it was used the database of real operation numerical values that were gained during diagnostic investigations on these transformers. In addition it describes mentioned diagnostics methods and gives the new procedure for analyse of transformers’ safety by criteria matrix and weighted sum approach. The main contribution of the work can be considered the checkout and the evaluation of this procedure for use in elaboration of high-voltage transformers diagnostic values for analyzing their safety.

Srovnání preklinických DCE-MRI perfusních technik / Comparison of the preclinical DCE-MRI perfusion techniquesMinsterová, Alžběta January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with DCE-MRI (Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging) thus one of the contrast magnetic resonance imaging methods. It describes the principle of conventional continuous DCE-MRI, which uses single bolus of contrast agent and further it focuses on the dual bolus contrast agent techniques, especially the interleaved acquisition. The graphical interface for processing Bruker systems data was made. Synthetic data were used to evaluate the influence of this method on the perfusion parameters estimation. Simulations proved that the further the second bolus is from the first one, the better results are. Simulations of acquisition interruption did not lead to the clear result. However, two statements, which are expected to lead to as good estimation of perfusion parameters as possible, were formulated

Klasifikace vozidel na základě odezvy indukčních senzorů / Vehicle classification using inductive loops sensorsHalachkin, Aliaksei January 2017 (has links)
This project is dedicated to the problem of vehicle classification using inductive loop sensors. We created the dataset that contains more than 11000 labeled inductive loop signatures collected at different times and from different parts of the world. Multiple classification methods and their optimizations were employed to the vehicle classification. Final model that combines K-nearest neighbors and logistic regression achieves 94\% accuracy on classification scheme with 9 classes. The vehicle classifier was implemented in C++.

The unweighted mean estimator in a Growth Curve modelKarlsson, Emil January 2016 (has links)
The field of statistics is becoming increasingly more important as the amount of data in the world grows. This thesis studies the Growth Curve model in multivariate statistics which is a model that is not widely used. One difference compared with the linear model is that the Maximum Likelihood Estimators are more complicated. That makes it more difficult to use and to interpret which may be a reason for its not so widespread use. From this perspective this thesis will compare the traditional mean estimator for the Growth Curve model with the unweighted mean estimator. The unweighted mean estimator is simpler than the regular MLE. It will be proven that the unweighted estimator is in fact the MLE under certain conditions and examples when this occurs will be discussed. In a more general setting this thesis will present conditions when the un-weighted estimator has a smaller covariance matrix than the MLEs and also present confidence intervals and hypothesis testing based on these inequalities.

Approximation Spaces in the Numerical Analysis of Cauchy Singular Integral EquationsLuther, Uwe 16 June 2005 (has links)
The paper is devoted to the foundation of
approximation methods for integral equations of
the form (aI+SbI+K)f=g,
where S is the Cauchy singular
integral operator on (-1,1) and K is a weakly
singular integral operator.
Here a,b,g are given functions on (-1,1) and
the unknown function f on (-1,1) is looked for.
It is assumed that a and b are real-valued and
Hölder continuous functions on [-1,1] without
common zeros and that g belongs to some
weighted space of Hölder continuous functions.
In particular, g may have a finite number of
singularities.
Based on known spectral properties of Cauchy
singular integral operators approximation methods
for the numerical solution of the above equation
are constructed, where both aspects the
theoretical convergence and the numerical
practicability are taken into account.
The weighted uniform convergence of these methods
is studied using a general
approach based on the theory of approximation
spaces. With the help of this approach it is
possible to prove simultaneously the stability,
the convergence and results on the order of
convergence of the approximation methods under
consideration.

Elliptic problems in domains with edges: anisotropic regularity and anisotropic finite element meshesApel, T., Nicaise, S. 30 October 1998 (has links)
This paper is concerned with the anisotropic singular behaviour of the solution of elliptic boundary value problems near edges. The paper deals first with the description of the analytic properties of the solution in newly defined, anisotropically weighted Sobolev spaces. The finite element method with anisotropic, graded meshes and piecewise linear shape functions is then investigated for such problems; the schemes exhibit optimal convergence rates with decreasing mesh size. For the proof, new local interpolation error estimates in anisotropically weighted spaces are derived. Moreover, it is shown that the condition number of the stiffness matrix is not affected by the mesh grading. Finally, a numerical experiment is described, that shows a good agreement of the calculated approximation orders with the theoretically predicted ones.
