Systém pro detekci vlakových náprav a jejich číslování dle Mezinárodní železniční unie / Detection of Train Axles and Their Numbering According to International Union of RailwaysDvořák, Petr January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with design and development of the system which detects and numbers train carriages in compliance with International Union of Railways. Firstly, methods for correct detection of passing wheel including time records are analysed. Also, the summary of detection sensors used in railway industry is referred. I analyse meaning of each digit in numbering according to the UIC. The system solution is designed and the interaction and communication with other sub-systems is discussed. I put emphasis on the kind of solution that returns as accurate record as possible under any circumstances. The system operates in real time. Further, the results of measuring program are back-tested in order to verify low-deviation of measuring system component. The following section describes program prototype, which processes the recorded data. The algorithms which I used for the detection of wheel and train carriages are described. In the following chapter I discuss the usage of an external camera detecting the numbers in accordance to the UIC. In the last chapter, I describe the test environment in which the solution has been tested, and summarize the results of tests on a real life railway.

Analýza zatěžovací zkoušky piloty / Analysis of pile load testPonížil, Cyril January 2017 (has links)
There is ussualy used the Masopust's method to assessment the piles in Czech Republic. This method is based on statistical processing of large data set of load piles tests. Due to the using of regression coefficients this method is relatively complicated and not very transparent. Instead, foreign standards ussualy use direct the values of limit stress on the base of piles and unit friction capacity. Procedure for determining the bearing capacity of the piles is thus considerably simplified. In this thesis the Masopust's method is compared with the methods used in Germany and Austria. This comparison provides insight to the safety level that include various approaches.

Rozvoj fonematické sluchu u dětí s NKS podle metodiky D.B.Elkonina / Development of phonemic hearing in children with impaired verbal communication skills utilizing the D.B. Elkonin methodHrabětová, Hana January 2020 (has links)
The topic of the thesis is the development of phonematic hearing in children with impaired verbal communication skills, utilizing the method of Danil Boršovič Eľkonin. It deals with the training of language skills for selected kindergarten children with special needs. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. It summarizes theoretical definitions of basic terms such as language, speech, and communication. It describes disturbed communication abilities and its classification, it deals more with the characteristic of developmental dysphasia. It also deals with the concepts of phonetics and phonology, describes phonematic hearing and phonematic awareness. Last but not least, it outlines D.B. Elkonin's personality and his methodology. The practical part is of a qualitative character, which will give us access to the analysis of methodological procedures that we chose for this analysis. It describes five children with impaired communication skills throughout the training. Five children were selected for the research and for 6 months they were purposefully and regularly developed phonematic hearing by means of the D.B. Elkonin method. The research theses deal with the difference between input and output values of phonematic awareness. The results were carefully recorded in the...

Porovnání situace matek a otců pečujících o děti formou střídavé péče v České republice / Comparison of situation of mothers and fathers looking after children in frame of "equal parenting" in CZTaševská, Ivana January 2011 (has links)
1 UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE FAKULTA HUMANITNÍCH STUDIÍ Katedra genderových studií IVANA TAŠEVSKÁ Porovnání situace matek a otců pečujících o děti formou střídavé péče v České republice Diplomová práce Vedoucí práce: Ing. Petr Pavlík, Ph.D. PRAHA 2011 2 ABSTRACT Split-up of family is not a gender-neutral phenomenon. In most cases, children are confided to the care of mother after the split-up. The family law recognizes also other forms of care, but both joint-custody parenting is rarely used in the Czech Republic. However, there is a tendency to change the state affairs in recent years. Supporters and opponents of joint custody voice their arguments in the public sphere, but relatively little attention has been paid so far to those who are supposed practice joint custody parenting, the parents. That is why, the focus of my research has been a comparison of experience of mothers and fathers practicing joint custody of their children in the Czech Republic. Concretely, I wanted to study whether, similarly with foreign studies, the mothers and the fathers experience joint custody differently. For example, whether the fathers have received a bigger support from their family and friends than have the mothers and whether the fathers experience less financial stress than the mothers. My research is explorative...

Are There Differences in Gender, Race, and Age Regarding Body Dissatisfaction?Dye, Heather 17 August 2016 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to examine any differences that may exist among demographic variables such as gender, age, and race in regard to internalization of society and media messages leading to body dissatisfaction that may lead to disordered eating behaviors such as preoccupation with weight, dieting, and eating restraint. A total of 324 participants completed the demographic questionnaire, the Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaire, the Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire for women, the Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire-Revised-Male-Version for men, and Rotter’s Internal-External (I-E) Locus of Control Scale. The results of this study found, as predicted, that Caucasians reported higher internalization, higher body dissatisfaction, and higher preoccupation with weight, dieting, and eating restraint than African Americans. This study showed no differences regarding men’s and women’s internalization or body dissatisfaction but did reveal that women reported higher preoccupation with weight, dieting, and eating restraint than men. Regarding age, this study found that age did not predict internalization, body dissatisfaction, or preoccupation with weight, dieting, and eating restraint.

Conclusions.
Context. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought its share of psychological distress to Quebec’s health and social services workers (HSSWs). These workers were already at risk of experiencing mental health issues prior to the pandemic, as they were exposed to several critical events in their daily work. Along with this reality, the pandemic was highly publicized, with daily press briefings by public health and other government officials being broadcast on several news platforms. Studies
show that media exposure to mass trauma, such as COVID-19, is associated with higher levels of psychological distress in the general population. Women are also likely to experience higher levels of psychological distress than men. Yet, there are no studies reporting on the impact of media exposure on psychological distress experienced among HSSWs during the pandemic, or in general. Objectives. (1) To measure the impact of media exposure level on changes in psychological distress among HSSWs over 37 weeks. (2) To measure the moderating effect of biological sex on the relationship between media exposure level and psychological distress among HSSWs. Method. The design was longitudinal, being a prospective cohort study. A total of 830 Quebec’s HSSWs participated in the study during waves 1 and 2 of COVID-19, from May 2020 to January 2021. Psychological distress, conceptualized as depression and anxiety symptoms, was measured using the PHQ-9 and GAD-7. Statistical analyses using linear mixed models were performed. Results. (1) HSSWs who considered themselves often or greatly exposed to media reported significantly more depression symptoms than those who considered themselves rarely exposed. HSSWs who considered themselves often exposed to media reported significantly more anxiety symptoms than those who considered themselves rarely exposed. (2) There was no significant difference between men and women in experienced psychological distress as a function of media exposure level. Conclusions. Awareness and education campaigns should be carried out in the health and social services network regarding the media exposure of HSSWs in order to avoid creating unnecessary psychological distress for them. The exploration of a limit exposure time and the type of media to
be favored are interesting avenues of research to prevent psychological distress.

Vliv Elkoninovy metody na fonologické schopnosti dětí v předškolním věku / Influence of Elkonin's method on phonological ability of preschool childrenKonopásková, Šárka January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the influence of Elkonin's method on phonological abilities in preschool age. In the term of content, the thesis is divided into two main parts - teoretical and empirical. The first main part creates a theoretical framework of the selected topic and is further divided into four chapters. First, the basic terminology - speech and language - are defined and the ontogenesis of human speech is conceptualized in more detail. The next chapter describes the phonological skills. There is also a distinction between phonological and phonemic awareness and a possible diagnosis of the field of phonological processing. Above all, the Battery of Tests of Phonological Abilities (by the authors Seidlová Málková and Caravolas) is described, because it was used for the needs of the research. The third chapter characterizes the methodology of D. B. Elkonin. The last chapter approaches school maturity and its diagnosis. The empirical part has a qualitative character and its main purpose of the researche is to analyze the influence of Elkonin's method on the phonological abilities of preschool children. From the research methods the analysis of the results of the activity, the analysis of the documents, the observation and the elaboration of the case study were used. Four preschool...
