Kundutbildning från tre infallsvinklar : En fokusgruppstudie om hur utmaningar skulle kunna reduceras / Customer training from three approaches : A focus group study of how the challenges could be reducedAndersson, Erika January 2018 (has links)
This study is conducted as an assignment from Saab in Järfälla, Sweden. Saab wanted help to reduce the challenges in the customer training since the instructors had expressed they needed help to improve it. The purpose of this study is to map the challenging situations that an instructor at Saab can experience during the customer training, and analyse how the challenges could be reduced. The main focus is put on organisational culture, pedagogic competence, and specialist knowledge. The theoretical background describes the following theories: adult teaching, competence, and organisational culture. The development of the competence is discussed and the importance of how to use the right competence is stated. The organisational culture is discussed and what an organisation can do in order to strengthen the culture is presented. Theories for adult teaching are also presented. A qualitative approach, in the form of focus group interviews, are used to collect data. Four focus group interviews are analysed using thematic analysis where the different themes and codes are found using the theory. The results indicate that the different challenges that the instructors are facing in the customer training are linked and that they influence the organisation as a whole. An example of what Saab could do in order to reduce the challenges in the customer training is presented and discussed based on relevant theories. The things that Saab may do to reduce the challenges, according to this study, are: improve the communication, work as a team and try to create a strong organisational culture.

O aluno adulto e suas representações acerca do saber e aprender: uma investigação em um contexto de ensino de inglês para fins específicos / The adult student and his representations about knowing and learning: an investigation in an ESP, English for Specific Purposes, contextChiaro, Tânia Regina Peccinini de 17 April 2009 (has links)
This research was originally planned to investigate about a learning strategy training project developed by a language institute that offers in company ESP courses to adults in operational areas of the tourism industry. The project aimed at helping students develop metacognition and self-regulation. The data gathered consisted of questionnaires answered by 60 students before and after the project conduction. Indications about the repercussion of the project among the students and information that could help understand these students and their characteristics as learners were sought in the data analysis. Through quantitative data analysis, the researcher found an increase in the use of strategies, as well as a significant change in students self-evaluations, which indicated that the project had accomplished some positive results. Nevertheless, the open-ended questions brought even more relevant information about these learners, for they showed the different representations students have of what it is to learn and to know English. Due to the complexity of the subject-learner, the research uses the Theory of the Organizing Models of the Thought as a theoretical-methodological approach. The models found in the analysis indicate that learners motivation to study English carry the influence of their representations of what it is to learn English and how the learning process happens. The study analyzed their beliefs and values as well, hoping to contribute for a better understanding of these learners, their characteristics and their motivation to learn English. These representations are mainly linked to the schools role in the learning process or the repercussion of knowing a second language for professional performance. The concept of linguistic ability is present in both groups in different ways. The research hopes to contribute to the understanding of this adult learner, his/her characteristics and the motivational aspects that drive him/her to learn English.

Tweedimensionele stilbeelde in 'n multimediapakket in tersiêre afstandsonderrig : didaktiese riglyneBlignaut, Ernst Philippus 11 1900 (has links)
Summaries in Afrikaans and English / The transformative mission of the White Paper on Education (1995: 19) states that the South
African education system is moving towards a single, national, non-racial system where all
people are offered equil opportunities. Demographic and other changes make particular
demands on the education system. The HSRC (1987:54) claim that distance edcation is
increasingly viewed as a possible solution for educational problems.
The literature study aims to motivate, from an andragogic-didactical perspective, the use of
two-dimensional silent images in study material.
A literature study was also undertaken on the perception of silent images and the elements
involved in the perception of depth, movement, size, colour, etc., from which certain didactic
guidelines were deducted with a view to the design of silent images.
The ability of distance education students to identify the elements above, was emperically
researched. The validity of the didactic guidelines were verified in this phase.
geveri fireer. / Educational Studies / M. Ed. (Didaktiek)
