Vilallonga Ugarte, Brenda Renée January 2017 (has links)
A.I. (Agresividad e impulsividad) y B.I. (Baja Autoestima e inseguridad emocional). The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of child abuse through time: in a group of youth and adults. This according to the variables of age, socioeconomic status and type of abuse experienced, observing to what extent the characteristics of child abuse has affected the personality traits and has persisted over time. The statistic sample was of 60 participants- 30 from the district of Los Olivos and 30 from the district of Miraflores of the City of Lima-Peru. It´s a brief experimental, transversal and descriptive research, that selects 17 items associated with the impulsivity and aggressiveness traits, and 5 regarding low self-esteem and emotional insecurity, creating two groups of Emotional Indicators. AI: (Aggressiveness and impulsivity) and BI: (Low self-esteem and emotional insecurity). The type of maltreatment that was found with the most incidence in the results was the Emotional Abuse. Secondly was the Physical Abuse and finally the Sexual Abuse. In regard to the indicator AI. The presence of the item named pointed fingers appears increasingly from the age of 18 to the age of 38. This is a situation that shows that the transition from youth to adulthood leads to increased stress and anxiety due to social demands; with respect to the Emotional Indicator BI it shows a higher incidence of fine and weak lines as well as the discontinuous lines. This research is useful to help to have a basic resource in the clinical area, to detect the persistence of aggressive traits in adults who have been abused in their childhood so as to be able to help them and their families, also as a mechanism for the prevention of the Cycle of abuse, and to improve their self-concept, as well as the quality of their interpersonal relationships in adulthood.

PROJEVY AGRESIVITY A ŠIKANY NA DRUHÉM STUPNI ZÁKLADNÍCH ŠKOL / ACTS OF AGGRESSIVENESS AND BULLYING AT THE SECOND LEVEL OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS

KYSILKOVÁ, Lenka January 2008 (has links)
My diploma thesis deals with the manifestations of aggressiveness and bullying on the second grade of basic schools. In the section dealing with theory I define the concept of bullying and aggressiveness and further I focus on participants, causes, consequences, prevention, diagnosis and process of diagnosis and investigation of bullying. In the section dealing with practice I have defined three aims: To map and depict the manifestations of bullying on the second grade of given basic schools; to find whether the data gathered have any relation to a total number of pupils at school and to find what attitude towards the issue of bullying and aggressiveness among children is held by basic-school teachers themselves. To gather the data for the first and second aim I have used a form which had been handed out in three basic schools with a various number of pupils. To meet the third aim I have questioned twenty teachers of given basic schools. All three aims of my thesis have been fulfilled. My research shows that up to 35 percent of children have experienced a certain form of aggressiveness and bullying while the occurrence thereof does not depend on a total number of pupils. Moreover my research has shown that teachers are not expertly prepared to deal with the issue.

La Grange, Huibrie Maria 06 1900 (has links)
The aim of this research was to determine whether conversational skills such as warmth, empathy and congruency have any positive effect when dealing with verbally aggressive clients and to what degree social workers are equipped to deal with aggressive clients. According to the findings of this research in which twenty four social workers participated it would appear that there are serious shortcomings in the way in which they deal with aggressive clients and that they do not always have the skills required to meet the challenges posed by aggressive clients. This research outlines the way in which social workers operate and would seem to indicate that there are serious shortcomings in their training when it comes to dealing with aggressive clients in interview situations. It is recommended that this matter be further investigated. / Social Work / M.A. (Sosiale Wetenskappe (Geestesgesondheid)

The aim of this study was to assess the aggressiveness in rats concomitantly exposed to cadmium (Cd) and stress by immobilization (EI). Male Wistar rats, 70 days old, from the Biotério Central – UNESP, Botucatu - SP, were allocated into 2 experimental groups: A-intruder animals (without treatment) and B-resident animals, which received one of the following treatments: sodium acetate (control); Cadmium acetate (50 ppm Cd in drinking water); stress by immobilization (30 min, three times per day, five days per week, during four weeks); Cd exposure and concomitant stress by immobilization. The aggressive behavior of resident rats was evaluated at the end of the last experimental week based on the intruder/resident animal paradigm, according to the following parameters: total number of attacks (TNA), latent time for the first bite (LTB), total time of attack manifestations (TTAM), and composed aggression score (CAS). After aggressive behavior assessement, blood and brains were collected to determine Cd through atomic absorption spectrometry. Cd level was not altered in the blood but increased in the brain. Cd exposure or EI, alone, did not modify TNA, LTB, TTAM or CAS but Cd exposure and EI, concomitantly, increased significantly TNA, TTAM and CAS. These results suggest that rat exposure to low Cd level associated with stress by immobilization may lead to interaction with consequent increased animal aggressiveness. A possible paper of serotonin (5-HT) and increased brain Cd levels as responsible mechanisms by the observed abnormal aggressiveness is discussed.

Role of the ventromedial hypothalamus and tuberalis part of the lateral hypothalamus in maternal behavior aggression.

Isadora Clivatti Furigo 25 July 2012 (has links)
The maternal aggression is developed by lactant dams to preserve their offsprings. In the present study we show that Hypothalamic Attack Area (HAA), particularly the ventrolateral part of ventromedial nucleus (VMHvl) and the tuberalis part of the lateral hypothalamus (LHAtu), have a critical role in the expression of this behavior. We have correlated the maternal aggression levels with the activation of this parts and we have detected behavioral damage at both groups with bilateral NMDA lesions at 1/3 caudal of HAA or 2/3 caudal of HAA, compared with control group. The non-agressive parameters did not show diferences among groups, as well as the maternal behavior, indicating that the lesions did not affect the maternal care. We have further analyzed the pattern of Fos expression in the brainstem targets of these hypothalamic regions in the NMDA lesioned dams, but couldnt find any difference between lesioned and intact groups.

Sacrifício ritual, laços sociais e sexualidade / Rite sacrifice, sexuality and social ties

Abreu, Marilande Martins, 1976- 04 April 2013 (has links)
Orientador: Oswaldo Giacoia Junior / Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-22T23:29:58Z (GMT). This study proposes to outline an analysis of social reality from the concept of ritual sacrifice, a total social fact that measuresand apprehends of political life, religious, economic and cultural life. For this reason, the methods taken from Anthropology of expressive forms and some concepts in psychoanalytic theory, allow problematize and accompany captions of mythic narratives and rituals of Ancient Greece through the ritual symbolism, which enables to seize the juxtaposition between man, God and the animal, which is establishing in correspondence and dependence of symbolization of the female. The ritual symbolism uncovers some links between social ties sexual prohibitions, aggression and sexuality, also allows, interpret the sacrifice ritual as specular image of the social order. These issues relate to the incest and the "parricidio", social phenomena involved in ritual sacrifice and in the game of juxtaposition between man, God and the animal. Therefore, from Totem and Taboo, Sigmund Freud; The violence and the sacred, of René Girard; and Homo-Necans - sacrificial rites and myths of Ancient Greece, of Walter Bürkert works, we want to interpret some mythical legends and rituals of the Greek polytheism to highlight similarities and parallels between sacrificial systems of religious practices of modern and "totemicos", or even, monotheistic and polytheist. These mythic images and rituals are repeated scenes of order and disorder associated with the sacrificial action, approach castration and order symbolic-ones, myth of Edipus Complex and father of the primitive horde, "totenico"taboo and obsessive taboo, matriarchy and the patriarchy. Jesus Christ, Dionysus, Apollo and Hefesto are situated in the game of juxtaposition between man, God and the animal, are associated with the male field and to the patriarchy; similarly, female deities as Mary, Demeter, Hera, Athena and Aphrodite are overlapping images of woman as mother, virgin and lover, figures situated in the countryside female. The ritual symbolism used to interpret the advent of matriarachy in relation of dependence and polarization with the patriarchy, both repeat compulsively the game of superpositions between man, God and the animal establishing ritual symbolism and transmits cultural tradition / Doutorado / Ciencias Sociais / Doutora em Ciências Sociais
