Modeling And Stability Analysis Of A Series Single-Phase Power Electronic Based Power System

Yimajian Yan (5930432) 03 January 2019 (has links)
Tightly regulated power converters behave as constant power loads which may introduce instability in power systems. Prior to this work, the design-oriented stability criteria of DC and three-phase AC systems has been extensively studied, while the stability of single-phase AC power systems has received less attention. In this research, the modeling and stability analysis of single-phase AC power systems is studied. In particular, this research focuses on a system architecture where loads are connected in series and powered by a current source. Based on the proposed current source and load power electronic based topologies, which are typically used in airfield lighting systems, three types of system characterization are developed: waveform-level model, average-value qd model, and qd impedance/admittance measurement. Each approach has its own advantages and drawbacks, but the result - a frequency-domain (s-domain) representation of the system, is identical. Applying the generalized Nyquist stability criterion, the small-signal stability criteria of the system is developed. It is shown that the predictions of the system stability using these three approaches are consistent.

Analys av svårigheter med att driva flygplatsskyltar på seriekrets / An analysis of the difficulties of running airfield signs on a series circuit

Wahlström, Erik January 2003 (has links)

Kauno aerodromo ir Lietuvos aeroklubo istorija 1918–1940 metais / Kaunas airfield and Lithuania Aero Club history in 1918-1940

Valionis, Valentas 02 June 2014 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Kaunas S. Darius and S. Girėnas airfield was the first Lithuanian aviation place and one of the oldest airfields in Europe. Lithuanian aviation development started in 1915 when Kaunas airfield was established. Kaunas S. Darius and S. Girėnas airfield flourished during the period of First Republic of Lithuania. The airfield began to expand: new buildings, aviation facilities appeared. Military aviation school and military aviation workshop were also established. In addition, at the same time the rudiments of civil aviation appeared in Kaunas airfield. They led to the establishment of the Lithuanian Aero Club (LAC). LAC organized plenty of festivals which brought aviation to public’s attention. Until the establishment of LAC, Lithuanian society has had a little interest in aviation and had no access to it. Lithuanian Aero Club (founded in 1927) took the action in Lithuanian society; it promoted civil and sport aviation. LAC organized aviation festivals in various Lithuanian cities and towns, promoted aviation in press, encouraged people to participate in a lottery (organized by LAC) and become members of the club. LAC activities were carried out not only in Lithuania but also abroad. Aviation festivals organized by Lithuanian Aero Club became an object of Lithuanian public attention and discussion. In the press constantly appeared articles where the main attention was given to: aviation celebrations, participants of the festivals, pilots, fluttering of acrobatic planes... [to full text]

Law and politics : Australia's war crimes trials in the Pacific, 1943-1961

Pappas, Caroline, History, Australian Defence Force Academy, UNSW January 1998 (has links)
This dissertation examines the trial of Japanese war crimes conducted by Australia between 1945 and 1951; although the study commences in 1943, when the Government first focussed on the issue, and ends in 1961, when the issue was closed. Beyond providing an overview of the trials the thesis addresses the major criticism of the trials by looking at whether the trails were fair and if they fulfilled Australian aims. This is addressed within the context of the two elements of international law, the political, and the legal, and examined in each of the three sections. The Policy section establishes the political context of the trials by examining the influence of the international community and the Australian Government. Both influenced structure and progress rather than the final application of the law. When Australian attitudes were incongruous with international views, a perception that Australia was harsh and repressive developed even though justice was an important part of the Government???s agenda. A study of legal aspects of the trials commences in the Procedures section. Australia???s legislation and regulations are explained with particular emphasis on the more controversial aspects, and a comparison is made with the war crimes instruments of other Allies trying the Japanese showing many similarities between the regulations used by other nations and Australia???s. Procedures also discusses the framework for the Australian trials, the procedures used to bring a case to trial, the process used in court, the review process and the carrying out of sentences. Such a thorough study of the procedural basis is necessary to evaluate the individual trials. Practical examples of some of the procedural problems are also discussed in the following section ??? Practice. This section reviews a number of trials and the various types of crimes and the claims made in defence to show how Australia applied and interpreted the law. The study finds many similarities between Australia???s application of the law and the practice of other nations, indicating that Australian courts were applying what was considered to be customary expectations of behaviour. Throughout the trials there was little evidence of vindictiveness or revenge, either by Government or in the courts. Both were faced with significant problems, which were not always dealt with well but overall the trials were fair and those involved were concerned that justice should not only be seen to be done, but actually be done.

Grayson County, Texas, in Depression and War: 1929-1946

Park, David 08 1900 (has links)
The economic disaster known as the Great Depression struck Grayson County, Texas, in 1929, and full economic recovery did not come until the close of World War II. However, the people of Grayson benefited greatly between 1933 and 1946 from the myriad spending programs of the New Deal, the building of the Denison Dam that created Lake Texoma, and the establishment of Perrin Army Air Field. Utilizing statistical data from the United States Census and the Texas Almanac, this thesis analyzes the role of government spending‐federal, state, and local‐in the economic recovery in Grayson County.

Návrhová studie letiště VFR / Design Study of VFR Airport

Brandejský, Petr January 2010 (has links)
The final master´s thesis targets to create concept study of VFR airport. This airport should be build up in southeast part of Czech republic, in the vicinity of the town Valašské Klobouky. In this work there are explained essential terms and definitions refered to basic rules and law. There are explained also civil aviation law and requirements of L14 regulations. Aeroclub is submitter of this work. It establishes basic conditions for airport area searching. The length of the runway is influenced mainly by performance of used aircrafts. It was impossible to find any acceptable field in searched area. There is a posibility how to solve this problem. There can be build up a runway for take-off and landings of small aeroplanes. In the second part of this thesis there are defined basic requirements on these fields. These requirements are applicated on chosen field. At the end of this thesis there is propounded an option how to dislocate runway, taxiways, aprons, hangars and other buildings.
