Sahir ARIKAN November 2006, 83 pages In this thesis a six degree of freedom (DOF) parallel manipulator is designed, developed and simulated virtually. The platform, which is specified and focused on in this thesis, is the specific solution for the generating the required data to simulate a land, airborne or sea vehicle&amp / #8217 / s motion trajectory in the laboratory environment. After explaining the need for such platforms for the military industry, the existing devices will be presented and discussed. Then the design period will be explained while pointing out the key performance criteria. The gathered performance values of the first design iteration will be presented and the modifications done in order to get to the expected performance will be given. Finally an investigation, in order to find the maximum payload that the platform can handle, is performed and presented. It is too hard to get to the desired performance values in mechanical design and manufacturing without using the CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) programs. In this thesis ProEngineer Wildfire&reg / is used for solid modeling the components, the sub-assemblies and the final assembly, ANSYS Workbench&reg / is used for investigating the modal behavior of the components, ADAMS&reg / 2003 is used for the dynamic simulation of the mechanism, ADAMS/Flex&reg / , ADAMS/AutoFlex&reg / and ADAMS/Durability&reg / are used to analyze the results when flexibility is embedded into the system. At the end of the thesis in Appendix section five technical drawings with the nominal dimensions are given in order to clarify the construction period. By the regulations that must be obeyed in ASELSAN only the nominal dimensions are given in the technical drawings. All the dimensional and geometrical tolerances are given in the approved technical drawings that are proprietary of ASELSAN. Reformation of a user-interface from a cognitive science perspective

Current computer-based medical systems used in health care, such as analysis programs, has evolved which has redirected the focus to creating user-interfaces based on cognitive theories, to enhance the usability for the end-user. Which cognitive science theories can be applied to interfaces of analysis programs, focusing on a search function of data, the settings of initial parameters and visual representation of data (in this study, programs specifically for motion detection) to optimize the usability for the end-user? This study has a total of 8 participants, who underwent 2 evaluations of MoLabTM, an analysis program. The evaluation consisted of an observation study followed by a semi-structured interview, consisting of 10 questions. After the first evaluation, the problems were compiled, hence 10 guidelines were raised based on numerous cognitive science theories. The guidelines were used to reform the current design of the analysis program and create a low-fidelity prototype. The low-fidelity prototype was later evaluated by 5 of the previous participants, which showed an experienced improvement of the usability of the analysis program. Afterwards a high-fidelity prototype was created. The results of this study show that by using cognitive science theories in analysis programs (focusing on search function of data, settings of initial parameters and visual representation of data), in the form of guidelines, optimizes the usability for the enduser. In further research, other parts of analysis programs or other programs can be investigated using the raised cognitive guidelines, to study if it optimizes the usability for the end-user. / Nuvarande datorbaserade medicinska system som används inom hälsovård, såsom analysprogram, har utvecklats vilket har lagt fokus på att skapa användargränssnitt baserade på kognitiva teorier, för att förbättra användbarheten för slutanvändaren. Vilka kognitiva vetenskapsteorier kan appliceras på gränssnitt för analysprogram, med inriktning på en sökfunktion av data, inställningarna för initiala parametrar och visuell representation av data (i denna studie, program specifikt för rörelsedetektering) för att optimera användbarheten för slutanvändare? Denna studie har totalt 8 deltagare, som genomgick 2 utvärderingar av MoLabTM, ett analysprogram. Utvärderingen bestod av en observationsstudie följd av en semistrukturerad intervju, bestående av 10 frågor. Efter den första utvärderingen sammanställdes problemen, varpå 10 riktlinjer skapades baserat på flertal kognitiva vetenskapsteorier. Riktlinjerna användes för att reformera analysprogrammets nuvarande utformning och skapa en prototyp. Prototypen utvärderades senare av 5 av de tidigare deltagarna, vilket visade en ansenlig förbättring av analysprogrammets användbarhet. Efteråt skapades en high-fidelity prototyp. Resultaten av denna studie visar att användningen av kognitiva vetenskapsteorier i analysprogrammen (med inriktning på sökfunktion av data, inställningar av initiala parametrar och visuell representation av data) i form av riktlinjer optimerar användbarheten för slutanvändaren. Vid vidare forskning kan andra delar av analysprogram eller andra program undersökas med hjälp av de alstrade kognitiva riktlinjerna, för att studera om det optimerar användbarheten för slutanvändaren.

股市財經電視節目與觀眾收視行為之研究 / Study of Stock Market Analysis Television Programs and Viewer Behavior

本研究主旨有三:(一)整理現有股市財經節目的營運方式、節目內容並瞭解財經節目主持人及其口語傳播技巧。(二)從股市財經節目觀眾收視行為來觀察,以節目收視率及收視觀眾輪廓(audience profile)為基礎,觀察股市財經觀眾其日常生活中收看股市財經節目的相關行為。(三)結合對財經節目與觀眾收視行為的觀察與研究,找出股市財經節目的關鍵要素並提出建議。 本研究以文本分析、深度訪談、二手資料整理等研究方法進行,分析整理後,發現股市財經節目觀眾的收視動機非常明確,為主動閱聽人,收看節目係屬工具性行為,主要目的係希望投資獲利。因此,節目設計應先考量以下兩點:(1)股市財經節目的觀眾特性:男女比例相當、年齡層較高、學歷較高、居住北部地區較多、家庭所得較高、對資訊需求差異大、對節目是否應教育功能意見分歧。(2)股市特性:資訊瞬變、影響股市漲跌因素甚多、需專家解說。 而股市財經節目雖與其他節目有明確區隔,唯同類型的電視投顧節目或股市貼盤節目本身並無差異化,造成電視投顧節目以消耗投顧老師的方式進行經營,四個股市貼盤節目僅有二個尚稱成功,本研究建議節目產製單位應以更深層、更能吸引觀眾的相關投資資訊來提升閱聽眾對節目的忠誠度,而同類型節目之間則應以觀眾對資訊偏好的需求、對節目教育功能的不同的認知來進行差異化。 / This analysis will 1) examine the current format for Stock Market Analysis Television Programs, the program content, the program hosts types, and the host speaking styles. 2) Examine program viewer behavior, based on viewer ratings, audience profile, and the role that these programs play in the daily lives of its viewers. 3) Ascertain the key elements of these programs and provide recommendations based on conclusions reached through cumulative analysis of such television programs and the behavior of their viewers. Based on text analysis, in-depth interviews, and second-hand data, viewers appear to have clear utilitarian motivations for watching these television programs, they are active listeners, and their primary objective is to profit on their stock market investments. Program design should take into consideration the following elements: 1) Viewer Demographics: even proportion of male and female viewers, higher age-bracket, highly educated, living primarily in Northern Taiwan, high household incomes, strong demand for new information, split on whether such programs provide educational value. 2) The Nature of the Domestic Stock Market: information changes quickly, factors affecting the rise and fall of stock prices are many, professional market insight and analysis is needed. Stock Market Analysis Television Programs, which are quite different from other television programs, fall into one of two main types: Investment Consulting Company-produced Analysis Programs, Real-time Market Data and Analysis Programs, with very little variation between competing programs in each category. The former generally relies on a string of new program hosts in an attempt to maintain viewer interest. There are currently only four of the latter type of program currently running with only two of them showing even mild success. This report will recommend that producers of such programs should offer more in-depth content so as to better attract and maintain viewers. Competing programs should also distinguish themselves from one another by offering different types of data and analysis content, and different levels of educational content in their programs.

Pokročilá statická analýza atomičnosti v paralelních programech v prostředí Facebook Infer / Advanced Static Analysis of Atomicity in Concurrent Programs through Facebook Infer

Nástroj Atomer je statický analyzátor založený na myšlence, že pokud jsou některé sekvence funkcí vícevláknového programu prováděny v některých bězích pod zámky, je pravděpodobně zamýšleno, že mají být vždy provedeny atomicky. Analyzátor Atomer se tudíž snaží takové sekvence hledat a poté zjišťovat, pro které z nich může být v některých jiných bězích programu porušena atomicita. Autor této diplomové práce ve své bakalářské práci navrhl a implementoval první verzi nástroje Atomer jako zásuvný modul aplikačního rámce Facebook Infer. V této diplomové práci je navržena nová a výrazně vylepšená verze analyzátoru Atomer. Cílem vylepšení je zvýšení jak škálovatelnosti, tak přesnosti. Kromě toho byla přidána podpora pro několik původně nepodporovaných programovacích vlastností (včetně např. možnosti analyzovat programy napsané v jazycích C++ a Java nebo podpory pro reentrantní zámky nebo stráže zámků, tzv. "lock guards"). Prostřednictvím řady experimentů (včetně experimentů s reálnými programy a reálnými chybami) se ukázalo, že nová verze nástroje Atomer je skutečně mnohem obecnější, přesnější a lépe škáluje.
