Estetický soud z perspektivy filozofie, psychologie a neurovědy / Aesthetic Judgement from Philosophical, Psychological and Neuroscientific Perspectives

Hadravová, Tereza January 2014 (has links)
Title: Aesthetic judgement from philosophical, psychological, and neuroscientific perspectives Author: Tereza Hadravová Department: Aesthetics Department Supervisor: prof. PhDr. Vlastimil Zuska, CSc. Abstract: How does science relate to aesthetics? This question usually reads as a question concerning scientific contribution to aesthetics. Philosophers are most- ly skeptical about the application of scientific results in their domain, wheras psychologists and, in recent years, neuroscientists are optimistic. In the thesis, I argue that both of these positions, in their extreme versions, impede the mutual enrichment of science and aesthetics. The starting-point of the thesis is George Dickie's radical claim that no scientific information has ever been relevant for aesthetics. The claim, I argue, is firmly embedded in the aftermath of logical positivism: it is related to the e↵ort to "rescue" aesthetics from progressive eli- mination. As a consequence, most of analytic aesthetics discourse has ignored psychologically informed conception of aesthetic judgement, including some fine distinctions that such a conception enables, e.g. the di↵erence between judgements about pleasure and aesthetic judgements. The distinctions are further elaborated and, in the last part of the thesis, the results of this elaboration are...

Humanitární fotografie - prodej nebo svědectví / Humanitarian Photo - Selling or Witnessing the Others

BUCHAROVÁ, Eva January 2013 (has links)
This master dissertation is focused on a humanitarian photo and its role in construction of "the others". By the example of the cholera outbreak in Zambia in 2010 I examine how the humanitarian photo works in respect to the process of otherization. Employing a qualitative research approach (particularly a case study) and an argumentation based on analytic generalization I suggest that each humanitarian photo necessary contains documenting and selling dimension because the humanitarians, on the one hand, speak on behalf of people in need and try to witness particular reality in their visual campaigns; and on the other hand they need to rise funds to be able to provide this humanitarian aid or development assistance, keep their work and authority of the organisation.

Využití programu Maple při výuce analytické geometrie / Use of means of the program Maple in lessons of analytical geometry

BABKOVÁ, Petra January 2007 (has links)
The content of this diploma is to create applications called maplets. The maplets are used to show influences of the coefficients in equation to their representation. The maplets are programmed in the program Maple. These tools should make teaching analytical geometry easy at high schools and in introductory university courses.

Expertní kapacity českých politických stran: případová studie obranné politiky / Expert capacities of the Czech political parties: case study of defence policy

Bayerová, Anežka January 2016 (has links)
The thesis deals with marginally explored area of expert capacities of the Czech political parties with respect to the different organizational types of selected political parties and movements. The work aims to find out what expert capacities work for these types of political parties, how these experts are recruited in their position, whether it corresponds to their educational background and professional experiences with function, which are they holding in the expert authority. Work is elaborated in the form of case study, which focuses on the activities of defense policy expert commissions. The text is divided into two theoretical and one empirical chapters. The first chapter deals with the process of policy-making, its actors and activities associated with this process. The second chapter defines the various types of political parties first from the mainstream perspective (cadre, mass, catch-all parties), which complements the modern concept of business party and finally there is a typology of S. Wolinetz (office-seeking, vote-seeking, policy-seeking parties). The last empirical chapter presents the case study focused on four Czech political parties (TOP 09, KSČM, ČSSD and political movement ANO 2011) and their access to party expertise. The result of this work is to compare the level of analytical capacity across selected political parties/movements and testing of hypotheses formulated in the introduction of the thesis.

Klavír v soudobé albánské hudbě / Piano in Contemporary Albanian Music

Prifti, Egli January 2015 (has links)
This dissertation deals with comprehensive analysis of contemporary Albanian piano pieces. There have been selected compositions with artistic and educational value for these purposes. The pieces also represent different genres of Albanian piano music. Genres are exceptionally important in this view; the stylish range was reduced, in recent past. The reason was based not on cultural field, but on strict ideological rules. Piano music is embedded in a broader historical context that allows to stress the peculiarities of the Albanian musical language and thereby to clarify the uniqueness and value of selected compositions for the educational needs. Keywords Piano; album, folk-music; neoclassical style; analysis; pedagogical interpretation

Perspektivy instituce umění / Perspectives of an Art Institution

Lojdová, Šárka January 2014 (has links)
This master thesis "Perspectives of an Art Institution" focuses on the George Dickie's institutional theory of art (thereafter IT). This theory defines "work of art" as a result of the position of an artefact in the institutional framework of the artworld. The author of the thesis pays attention to the historical development of the IT- firstly published in 1969 in the article "Defining Art" and radically revisited in the book The Art Circle in 1984- as well as to the critical discussion based on Dickie's theory. In the first chapter she compares both the earlier and the later version of the theory; in following chapters she concerns with objections formulated against Dickie's IT. IT seems to be problematic in several aspects: the term "institution" is considered to be ambiguous; Dickie fails to give a full description of roles and rules which determine the operations of the artworld; the notion of appreciation seems to be contradictory with Dickie's opinions presented earlier; circularity; and Dickie's unsatisfactory attention to the historical dimension of the artworld. All of these objections are compared with Dickie's theory to prove their legitimacy or to refuse them as illegitimate. Not only aims the thesis to sum up the critical discussion but it aims to answer the question if the theory...

Předstírající přístup k analytické teorii čísel / Pretentious approach to analytic number theory

Čech, Martin January 2018 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to present the pretentious approach to analytic number theory recently developed by Granville, Soundararajan, and others. In the first four chapters, we show the classical proof of the prime number theo- rem. We then develop the pretentious approach, explain its differences, advan- tages, and disadvantages and present another proof of the prime number theorem based on Hal'asz's theorem. This theorem is then proven using new techniques of Granville, Harper, and Soundararajan, which are substantially easier than the previous proofs. In the last chapter, we show how pretentious techniques can be used to obtain more intuitive proofs of other classical theorems or obtain new results. 1

Bezpečné aplikace s mikrokontroléry / Secure applications with microcontrollers

Sobotka, Jiří January 2008 (has links)
This thesis deals with problematics of secure operations of microcontrollers. During long-term use, the microcontrollers can be affected by error or malfunction. The aim of this thesis is to describe the types of errors which can affect processors, cause of creation of these errors and possibilities of preventing malfunctions in microcontrollers. There is many problems connected with operation of microcontrollers, therefore there are many methods to prevent these problems. First part of this thesis deals with description of types of mistakes and with attempts of theirs modelling. Second part of this thesis narrate possibilities of preventing each type of mistake during designing the system or during operation of microcontroller and explaining methods of fault toleration by using redundant circuits in case of hardware fault and by modifying source code in case of software faults. In third part the hazard analytical methods are described. The recognition of events able to damage the system has high importance. The risk analysis takes place during developing and during operation of the system. Fourth part is trying to describe some of the processor testing techniques as main method of finding errors before operating use of microcontroller. Last part attempts to practical draft of testing algorithm for chosen microprocessor and application of one of analytical techniques.

Slovo a hudba v soudobém českém melodramu - analytická východiska pro hudební výchovu / Word and the Music in the Contemporary Czech Melodrama - the Analytical Basis for the Music Education

Selčanová, Zuzana January 2016 (has links)
Melodrama represents a unique form that combines musical and textual component in a very distinct manner. The submitted doctoral dissertation offers a complex analysis of the contemporary Czech melodrama and places it into a European and indispensable local context. The author emphasizes typical features of this genre and describes the possibilities of its further development by means of complex analysis of melodrama as a work of art together with the evaluation of its status in the contemporary musical culture. Complex analysis of the work of art is absolutely necessary in order to understand the addressed problematics. It is a starting point that offers a further insight into the main characteristics of the form, not only in an artistic sense but also in other contexts. It provides a space for analysis pursued in a pedagogical context, and it offers a base for the pedagogical interpretation of the artwork that is determinative for the analytical perspective of the submitted dissertation. Pedagogical dimension of this doctoral dissertation that focuses on melodrama fully corresponds. Melodrama is, in fact, a very appealing tool for the understanding of music. It allows us to react appropriately to the needs of contemporary education with emphasis on the use of the integrative and poly-aesthetic...
