Esta dissertação apresenta uma análise prospectiva da operação ferroviária na Baixada Santista, levando-se em consideração a infra-estrutura atualmente disponível, as características operacionais vigentes e possíveis cenários futuros para um melhor aproveitamento da alternativa ferroviária. O método proposto constou da caracterização da operação ferroviária, identificação das variáveis intervenientes e coleta e análise de dados. A partir daí foi utilizado o software de simulação em linguagem ARENA para a construção de um modelo representativo da operação ferroviária, o qual foi validado para as condições operacionais atuais. Com esse modelo, foram gerados cinco cenários alternativos, que levaram em consideração tanto mudanças na operação ferroviária, quanto aumento na demanda de trens por dia. A análise dos resultados mostra que as alterações na configuração operacional, propostas em alguns dos cenários, são viáveis e que o sistema responde de forma satisfatória. Em relação ao incremento na demanda este é viável até certo ponto, a partir do qual a capacidade de alguns recursos compromete a operação de todo o sistema. / This research presents a prospective analysis of the railroad operation in the Baixada Santista, considering the currently available infrastructure, the effective operational characteristics and possible future scenarios for a better exploitation of the railroad alternative. The proposed method consisted of the characterization of the railroad operation, identification of the intervening variables and data collection and analysis. The simulation software ARENA was used to construct a representative model of the railroad operation and was validated for current operating conditions. Five alternative scenes were generated considering changes in the railroad operation and increases in the demand of trains per day. The analysis of the results shows that the alterations in the operational configuration in some of the scenes are feasible and the system answers in a satisfactory way. Increments in demand are also feasible up to a certain level where the capacity of some resources compromises the operation of the system.

Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de um modelo de simulação que em base a dois dos maiores recursos naturais da Colômbia, o carvão e os recursos hídricos, procura dimensionar um sistema intermodal de transporte que visa o aproveitamento de ditas riquezas e o fornecimento de carvão térmico para produção de energia nos principais países industrializados do mundo. Neste trabalho os principais dados levantados de fontes como a Agencia Internacional de Energia, o World Energy Council, o Ministério de Transporte e o Ministério de Minas e Energia da Colômbia, entre outras, permitiram entender melhor o contexto e detalhar o problema em consideração. Baseado na metodologia de simulação de eventos discretos a descrição do sistema modelado é feita através do detalhamento de seus subcomponentes, os parâmetros de entradas, as saídas esperadas e a esquematização do modelo conceitual para conduzir os testes computacionais no software computacional Arena, conforme um cenário padrão de experimentações definido para conseguir o escoamento do excedente da produção de mineiro procedente do departamento colombiano de Cesar. Finalmente, logo de ter achado a melhor configuração para o sistema, esta foi testada e analisada o desempenho da mesma quando mudanças como variações na demanda de carvão entre outras foram introduzidas. / This work introduces the development of a simulation model based on two of the largest natural resources of Colombia, the coal and water resources, looking for sizing an intermodal system of transportation aiming for the approach of such resources and the supplying of steam coal for energy productions in the world industrialized countries. Data collection taken from sources as International Energy Agency, World Energy Council, Colombian Transport and Energy Ministries, between others, allowed a better understanding and detailing of the context for the studied problem. Founded on discrete event simulation methodology, the system description is done thought the detailing of its subcomponents, the input parameters, outputs and conceptual model schematization for conducting experimental tests in the Arena computational software, considering a standard scenario in order to size the intermodal transportation system for Colombian thermic coal exportation based on the surplus production from Cesar department. Finally, after finding the best configuration for the system, its performance was tested and analyzed adopting changes such variations in demand for coal among others.

<p>The purpose of this paper is to examine whether, and if so, how tourism effect the construction of a new city district with a stadium in focus. The study is based on a case study of Swedbank Arena and Arenastaden as nearby area. There has been an interest from the writers to study Swedbank Arena and Arenastaden, as it is a current subject, and both of them are under construction, which means that it was possible to see how the process works from the ground up. It has been shown that Swedbank Arena is built up in an entirely new district in which there will be new infrastructure that is tailored to the stadium and the crowd it’s expected to attract. The nearby area outside the new district is tailored to the stadium in the sense that roads are re-built to increase accessibility. To further increase the accessibility public transport will be given priority as a way to get around for those planning the new district. This is so that visitors / tourists can get in and out of the area quickly by public transport. For this reason it is also made changes in public transport. In the conclusion the writers presents a model to show the links between tourism, economy, society and infrastructure. How they fit together and are interdependent. The writers also concludes that there is no appropriate words that can explain what it is like visiting an arena, and the phenomenon that occurs around an arena, a discussion leading to the terms arena tourist and arena tourism.</p> / <p>Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, turismen med dess förväntade tillströmningar av människor påverkar uppbyggandet av en ny stadsdel med en arena i fokus. Studien bygger på en fallstudie över Swedbank Arena och Arenastaden som närliggande område. Det har funnits ett intresse hos skribenterna att studera just Swedbank Arena och Arenastaden då det är ett aktuellt ämne samt att båda är under uppbyggnad, vilket innebär att det varit möjligt att se hur processen går till från grunden. Det har visat sig att Swedbank Arena byggs upp i en helt ny stadsdel där det kommer att tillkomma ny infrastruktur som är anpassad efter arenan och de folkmassor den förväntas locka till sig. Närliggande området utanför den nya stadsdelen anpassas efter arenan i den bemärkelsen att vägar byggs om för att öka framkomligheten. För att öka framkomligheten ytterligare kommer kollektivtrafiken att prioriteras som ett sätt att ta sig fram för de som planerar den nya stadsdelen. Detta för att besökare/turister kan komma att ta sig in och ut ur området snabbt med kollektivtrafiken. Av denna anledning görs det även förändringar i kollektivtrafiken. I slutsatsen presenterar skribenterna en modell som är till för att visa sambanden mellan turism, ekonomi, samhälle och infrastruktur. Hur dessa hänger ihop och att de är beroende av varandra. Skribenterna kommer även fram till att det inte finns något lämpligt ord som kan förklara vilka det är som besöker en arena samt de fenomen som uppstår kring en arena, en diskussion leder fram till termerna <em>arenaturist</em> och <em>arenaturism</em>.</p>

<p>I tolkningen av vad en doktrin är, så finns både ett inriktande syfte och en slags ensning av det förhållningssätt som gäller och förväntas av Försvarsmaktens personal. Det innebär att man skulle kunna förvänta sig en tydlig viktning mot det internationella fokus som faktiskt klart kan sägas gälla efter försvarsbeslutet 2004. Frågan blir då om de tre svenska arenadoktrinerna är tillräckligt tydliga i att poängtera detta. Denna uppsats försöker därför analysera doktrinerna och utröna om det egentligen finns något fokus avseende nationella och internationella insatser och om det i så fall finns någon skönjbar förklaring till detta i doktrintexterna. Undersökningen består av en kvantitativ textanalys samt en kvalitativ undersökning av doktrinerna för luft-, mark- och marina operationer, som tillsammans angriper texterna baserat på två definierade indikatorer av fokuseringarna.</p><p>Analysen i uppsatsen ger vid handen att doktrinen för marina operationer visar en märkbart större fokusering vid internationella insatser än vad de andra gör. Detta kan bero på skillnader i påverkan av stridens genomförande av att insatsen sker nationellt eller internationellt.</p> / <p>In the interpretation of the meaning of a doctrine, there is both a purpose of direction as well as unifying the posture that all personnel in the Swedish Armed Forces are expected to have. That means that a corresponding prioritization could be equally expected of international missions, which are safe to say is the focal point for the Swedish Armed Forces after the defense policy decision made in 2004. The question therefore arises whether or not the three Swedish arena doctrines are adequate in showing these postures. This essay comprises both a quantitative and a qualitative text analysis of the arena doctrines, which together penetrates the texts based on two defined indicators of these focal points.</p><p>The results of this essay are that the doctrine for maritime operations shows a noticeable larger focusing on international missions than the other two does. This might come from the difference in how the arena is affected in the basic tasking depending on whether the mission is conducted nationally or internationally.</p>

The aim is to illustrate the opinion former Torsten Tegnér’s view of sport, culture and society, the nature of the influence he exerted primarily through his own professional magazine, Idrottsbladet, a liberal-conservative sports journalist’s attitude in confrontation with other social attitudes and some questions of principle and debates that were topical during the period within Swedish sport. Five thematic chapters demonstrate how Tegnér reacted to developments within sport that were due to social changes. Above all, the research demonstrates that the values he wished to communicate principally dealt with a healthy soul in a healthy body for the benefit and happiness of both the individual and society. Secondly, he wished to convey the culture of the middle classes. In the background, the concept of freedom was a constant overarching ideology. His reactions to the developments can be seen in the light of his passion for sport as beneficial, his family’s combination of liberalism and respect for traditions and their expectations of him, his understanding of democracy and a touch of post-Romanticism. His passion for freedom led to his political involvement against Nazism and Communism in particular. Tegnér’s means of influencing are viewed from a power perspective. As a well-qualified intellectual, by means of a significant symbolic capital, with Idrottsbladet’s position and as ‘a one-man civic educator’, he was one of those who, in the opinion of the philosopher Antonio Gramsci, were particularly important in a social power game. It is particularly interesting that his circle of readers seems to have overwhelmingly consisted of working-class youngsters.
