Oprávněnost intervencí ČNB na devizovém trhu

Hynková, Marie January 2018 (has links)
Hynková, M. The eligibility of the CNB interventions in the foreign exchange mar-ket. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2018. This diploma thesis deals with the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank after the financial crisis. The monetary policy of the CNB is compared with doings of the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank. Attention is paid to the monetary policy of the CNB and to the reasons why the CNB has provided inter-ventions on the foreign exchange market in order to depreciate the CZK/EUR ex-change rate. The diploma thesis described in detail foreign exchange interventi-ons, which the CNB acceded on November 7, 2013, and subsequently abandoned them on April 6, 2017. The CNB wanted to influence the impending deflationary development in the country, so the diploma thesis also deals with the consequen-ces caused by the use of this non-conventional tool. The work also evaluates the benefits and costs of foreign exchange interventions. The empirical part of the diploma thesis demonstrates the relationship of inflation and the exchange rate CZK/EUR. There is also an appreciation of factors influencing the development of inflation during the intervention period.

Volatilita směnného kurzu a intervence centrální banky / Exchange rate volatility, and central bank interventions

Kubů, Jan January 2015 (has links)
The exchange rates of currencies of different countries show higher volatility than it could be explained by the volatility of the fundamental variables. There are introduced different models which try to describe the behavior of these exchange rates in this Diploma Thesis. Their comparison is made with respect to the ability to capture the volatility of the empirically observed data. The behavior of exchange rates may also be influenced by interventions of the state institutions and therefore we introduced models which allow the effect of such regulatory interventions. These models were applied on real data. The properties of the model predictions of exchange rates were compared and evaluated with respect to their ability to explain the volatility of the empirical data. At the summary of my work one of the models has been used to simulate the behavior of the exchange rate during the application of different intervention strategies of the Central Bank. Role bank v boji proti legalizaci výnosů z trestné činnosti a financování terorismu / The role of banks in the fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism

Pultarová, Hana January 2016 (has links)
Money laundering and terrorist financing are serious problems that may not only disrupt the stability and reputation of financial institutions, but also affect a wide range of individuals. Therefore, this kind of conduct can be punished as a crime, including the active involvement of banks in money laundering. However, the diploma thesis focuses mainly on preventive measures introduced by the provisions of administrative law. The role of a well-functioning banking system is essential for the effective suppression of money laundering and financing of terrorism. Banks are the most frequent reporters of suspicious transactions and the bank services are used by wide range of persons. The role of banks is mainly determined by their designation as obliged entities by the Act no. 253/2008 Coll., on certain measures against the legalization of proceeds of crime and terrorist financing. The obligations arising out of this act are put into context with the Czech Banking Act and with regulations governing payments and implementation of international sanctions, including directly applicable laws of the European Union. The importance of the bank services is also caused by the regulation of cash payments. In connection with the activities of banks, the thesis reflects selected changes that will be introduced by...

Právní regulace činnosti bank / Legal regulation of the activities of banks

Jedlička, Jan January 2014 (has links)
The subject matter of this thesis is a treatise on legal regulation of bank activities. I have chosen this topic for its recency in a connection with global financial crisis and also in a connection with application of new European legislation in the field of bank regulation. Activities of banks belong among one of the most regulated market areas because eventual failures of banks are very dangerous not only for a functioning of the bank system but also for a huge amount of other subjects dependent on proper financial factoring. An importance of bank regulation is also given by a large amount of depositors who have their money deposited with the bank and who can lose their funds in the case of a failure of the bank unless the institutes of the financial safety net will provide compensation. Regulatory rules impact on banks already in the phase of their origin. There are strict conditions for an obtaining of the bank license from a reason of a prevention of an entry of unhealthy business subjects to bank market to avoid problems prior to their creation. An exit from bank market is also regulated in the form of a different legal regulation of insolvency and liquidation of the bank. The thesis is divided into eleven chapters which are divided into several subsequent subchapters. The thesis starts with...

Boček, Josef January 2013 (has links)
This research focuses mainly on the evaluation of interest rates predictions (predictions of 3M PRIBOR rate) published by Czech national bank. In the first part of the thesis reasons and potential central bank's benefits of the publishing of interest rate predictions are presented, based on the current academic literature. In the next chapters econometric and non-econometric evaluation of Czech national bank forecasts is provided. Furthermore, predictions from Czech Treasury, random walk process and my own autoregressive and vector autoregressive predictions were evaluated as well. It has been concluded that Czech national bank produces and publishes the most accurate based on non-econometric and econometric evaluation of all examined predictions. Moreover during the F-test evaluation procedure, the forecasts of Czech national bank proved themselves to be unbiased for the longest time horizon of all examined predictions.
