Att agera som IT facilitator inom en Intensivvårdsavdelning / ACTING AS IT-FACILITATORS IN AN INTENSIVE CARE UNITEmilson, Marcus, Bergqvist, Viktor January 2002 (has links)
The project takes place at the intensive care unit (ICU) in Malmö. It is a collaboration project between Interactive Institute and Malmö Academic Hospital (MAS). Their main interests are to explore and domesticate a learning and competence developing process. The main question in this project is to understand how the design process can support the effective implementation of a PDA information device for nurses. The design process does not stop at the technical level. It continues by the involvement of developers into nurses? technology learning process. We have developed a first prototype from the design guidelines supplied by Erling Bjarki Björgvinsson and Per-Anders Hillgren. This prototype has allowed the disposal of films done by nurses themselves to other nurses concerning medical machineries. Those films are used by nurses themselves to support the use of those machineries, fix them and teach other nurses the functioning of those medical machineries in the ICU. We have carried on research at ICU to understand what is required for nurses to know, the implication of their work for the functioning of those machineries, and the workloads, constraints and organisation. This has been done to see how to adapt the functioning of the PDA devices to the real circumstances of their work. As the matter of fact, we have indicated how IT developers have to work, as IT-facilitators in the use context if one want to arrive to a successful IT design solution. / Marcus Emilson tel: +46(0)733 442548 Viktor Bergqvist tel: +46(0)736 264239

Optické rozpoznávání tabule úkolů / Tasks Board Optical RecognitionSznapka, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
The master's thesis deals with the optical recognition of the tasks board in the agile environment. Based on theoretical knowledge about the agile project management, the concept of the task board is introduced. Possible representations of this agile tool are discussed, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. In connection with the optical recognition of the objects, follows the theoretical part dealing with barcodes, their structure and methods of detection and decoding. Based on these facts, the application design is reflecting all the needs specified by the company Siemens CT DC which is the contracting authority of the project. Implemented solution used for synchronization between the physical and virtual task board is able to detect the task cards with reliability about 95 % and allows the full synchronization of the task board during the four cycles. Deployment in the software development team and using the fully automated mode brings approximately five times quicker synchronization than it was before. In a case of semi-automated mode, it is about three times faster than before.

Algorithms for Multidimensional Persistence / Algoritmer för Multidimensionell PersistensGäfvert, Oliver January 2016 (has links)
The theory of multidimensional persistence was introduced in a paper by G. Carlsson and A. Zomorodian as an extension to persistent homology. The central object in multidimensional persistence is the persistence module, which represents the homology of a multi filtered space. In this thesis, a novel algorithm for computing the persistence module is described in the case where the homology is computed with coefficients in a field. An algorithm for computing the feature counting invariant, introduced by Chachólski et al., is investigated. It is shown that its computation is in general NP-hard, but some special cases for which it can be computed efficiently are presented. In addition, a generalization of the barcode for persistent homology is defined and conditions for when it can be constructed uniquely are studied. Finally, a new topology is investigated, defined for fields of characteristic zero which, via the feature counting invariant, leads to a unique denoising of a tame and compact functor.

Digital Technology for Collecting and Handling Traceability Information in A Fish Meal Factory : A Qualitative Grounded Theory StudyFröberg, Robert January 2022 (has links)
As science are growing and new technology emerges in combination with joined rules and laws between countries and unions industries and supply chains are forced to explore and adopt new systems to keep up with this ongoing process. Without modern solutions the information flow can be the Achilles heel that makes companies products less attractive on the market as lack of information sharing can cause tension in questions regarding traceability and sustainability. The food industry can be seen as one of the most important sectors regarding traceability as people want to know what they are buying and putting up on our plates. Other industries are also getting more regulated and forced to act regarding to traceability and the implementation of technology to assist in this process, studies show there is still gaps regarding traceability and the use of technology especially in domain specific industries, like fish meal industry. Studies on and around the concept of traceability shows that even while focus before have been based mostly from a quality point of view, newer studies are placing traceability in a wider spectrum were studies in other research field get more adopted, as both the decision-making process in industry management as for the technology and informatics approach as there is a need to put the concept of traceability into systems and technology to be able to comply with industry related requirements in an effective way. With a qualitative, grounded theory approach, the study investigates traceability requirements based on on-site observations conducted in a fish meal factory. The data or requirements found from the observations have then gone through a coding process according to grounded theory. To form an idea or concept on how technology can be used in relation to traceability data collecting and handling. The concept has then been analyzed in accordance with the research question and discussed with the concepts emerged from the literature review. The result of this master’s thesis can be seen in the investigation and presentation of traceability requirements within the field of fish meal and how certain technologies can be used to automate, make more reliable and effective traceability systems. Based on the result the proposed concept is that when planning and building a traceability system for a fish meal factory one should build it around the organizations ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and use a variety of technology depending on the need as this will help the system to collect data to one place and have it more easily available for further analysis and handling for sharing within the supply chain. Organizations interested in updating and acquiring a new traceability system can based on this study get some insights in the thought process regarding traceability, understand the requirements and explore and understand the use of modern technologies to build up comprehensive traceability systems around the ERP.

Spårbarhetsanalys på serieproduktion : En studie om spårbarhetspåverkan inom serieproduktion / Traceability analysis in serial production : A study on the impact of traceability in serial productionBerg, Vilhelm, Sandgren, Jonas January 2022 (has links)
Lösningen bygger på ett inhouse standardiserat 2-bin kanbansystem med FIFO (first in first out). / A production without traceability leads to secondary problems and extra work. in the case of complaints from several different customers where the same component is faulty or does not meet the set requirement specifications, there is a benefit in knowing in which more end products the same components from the same batch are located. Then they can be replaced, or a service package can be sent out to the customer before complications arise for the customer. Customer- and legal requirements on the ability to track critical components within medical technology to be allowed to deliver or not are existing. The traceability analysis to generate a solution proposal for the case study is based on a mixture of qualitative and quantitative data collection. Interviews and literature together with production data lay the foundation for developing a suitable solution which should be implemented. The result is to generate a basis to be able to track components. The solution is based on an in-house standardized 2-bin kanban system with FIFO (first in first out). The information is registered at all warehouse instances and follows the material through the production flow. The information that must accompany the material is date and time of arrival, supplier, quantity and article number. This needs to be implemented at all warehousing locations for the information to be included in the delivery and the end product's individual identification number. Through the analysis methods kinship tree, PICK chart and 5 why, the result has been generated. Elimination of solutions that are not currently relevant has also been highlighted in the analyzes. Comparison of flow analysis through simulation has provided a measure of how this affects production as a whole. The study can be used as the first step in a PDCA project (Plan, Do, Check, Act) where this report stands for the planning phase. Carrying through of the implementation of the solution, the company will achieve traceability. They are recommended to continue the development work in traceability with an organizational culture that is learning.
