Den ”osynliga” arkitekten. Projekt: Dragonstallet Drottningholm, Gubbängsbadet, Årstagårdens bollplan.  Många arkitekter arbetar i det fördolda. Deras arbete är inte utmärkande eller omtalat, men finns överallt runtomkring oss. Vardagliga byggnader förväntas finnas där, fungera och vara estetiska men de flesta människor tänker sällan på de skapande krafter som står bakom den byggda miljön. Den ”osynliga” arkitekten och dennes arkitektur, ur ett flertal aspekter, studerades. De olika aspekterna är: Den historiska eller traditionella. Samhället. Beställarkraven. Yrkesrollen. Arkitektens eget val eller ställningstagande.  För att illustrera några av aspekterna är tre utförda projekt visade: Dragonstallet Drottningholm- ett ombyggnads- och renoveringsprojekt i byggnad från början av 1800-talet. Projektet handlade i stor omfattning om att ta bort det som inte hörde till och lyfta fram det ursprungliga stallrummet.  Gubbängsbadet- uppförd ca 1945-1949, om- och tillbyggnad för anpassning till nya funktioner och arbetssätt. Tillbyggnaden är exteriört anpassad och smälter in. Interiört fungerar lokalerna bättre för sitt ändamål.  Årstagårdens bollplan- nybyggnad av omklädningsbyggnad. Byggnaden fungerar väl för sin användning, har en diskret utformning med egen karaktär, anpassad till sin omgivning. / The unnoticed architect. Projects: Dragonstallet Drottningholm, Gubbängsbadet, Årstagårdens bollplan.  Many architects work unnoticed. Their work is not distinguishing or famous, but surrounds us everywhere. Everyday buildnings are expected to be there, function well and be esthetically pleasing but most people seldom consider the creative forces behind the built environment. The unnoticed architect and his architecture was studied from a number of aspects. The aspects are: The historical or traditional. The society The clients’ requests The professional role The architects own choice and opinion   To illustrate some of these aspects three built projects are chosen: Dragonstallet Drottningholm- the former stable for the dragoons’ horses from the beginning of the 19Th century, was rebuilt. The project was mostly about tearing off parts which didn’t belong and make the details of the original room visible.  Gubbängsbadet- a swimming bath, built 1945-49, rebuilding and exterior addition to accommodate new functions and ways of working. The exterior addition was made in the same way as the existing building and blends in. The interior is better planned for its purpose.  Årstagårdens bollplan - a newly built changing room building at a football pitch. The building is well planned for its purpose, has a discreet design with its own character, well adapted to its surroundings.
