Milosrdné sestry sv. Karla Boromejského na příkladu vybraných ústavů sociální péče v letech 1948-1989 / The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo on example selected institutions of social care 1948-1989

Pavlíček, Josef January 2021 (has links)
The thesis The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo on example selected institutions of social care 1948-1989 is focused at three institutions of social care for mentally handicapped persons, in which The Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo worked during the communist régime. The aim of the work is not only to compile the history and development of the three researched institutes of social care from the available primary sources but also to analyze and compare the information found in the conclusion. In the final analysis, we follow mainly the beginnings of individual institutes, then the lives of sisters and inmates in all examined institutes, and in the end we focus on the termination of the work of nuns in individual institutes. The first of the examined places is the institute of social care in Hrabice, where nuns worked from 1949 to 1989. The second of the researched institutes was located in the years 1953 to 1983 in the village of Komorní Lhotka. The third research institute was located in the town of Česká Kamenice, where nurses worked there from 1953 to 1980. All three constitutions are connected by their position, they were located in remote places or in places where there was no strong religious community. Although the beginnings of individual institutes and communities of nurses were...

'CON ALEGREZZA DE CUORE'. LETTERE DELLA CONTESSA MARGHERITA TRIVULZIO AL CARDINAL FEDERICO BORROMEO CONSERVATE PRESSO LA BIBLIOTECA AMBROSIANA DI MILANO

RUGGERI, MARIA RITA GIUSEPPINA 10 July 2018 (has links)
This research provides the critical edition of over four hundred letters sent by the countess Margherita Trivulzio to her son, Cardinal Federico Borromeo, between 1586-1601. The study of this nucleus of letters allows one not only to shed new light on the figure of Borromeo, analysing his family relationships, but allows a particular focus on a personality, who has so far remained little known and yet worthy of being discovered: that of the noble Trivulzio. Starting from the study of the examined epistles, the following analysis aims to reconstruct the biographical profile, the religious background and the cultural importance of the countess – the latter being investigated as well in terms of linguistic analysis – while at the same time it offers a possible itinerary of reading the numerous letters addressed to the famous founder of the Ambrosian Library of Milan.

L’atelier Borromée. L’archevêque de Milan et le gouvernement de l’écrit (1564-1631) / Borromeo’s Workshop : the Governance of the Written Production in Milan (1564-1631)

Lezowski, Marie 19 October 2013 (has links)
Modern Milan is marked with the seal of Carlo Borromeo, archbishop from 1564 to 1584. Though his canonization in 1610 establishes him as a model for the entire Christian world, Carlo Borromeo defines his historical role mainly within the boundaries of Lombardy, where he secures an unprecedented control over the written production. Whereas previous studies have focused on the social discipline enforced by the Tridentine bishops, this thesis draws the attention on the Borromean governance of the written production, from Carlo’s to his cousin Federico’s archbishopric (1595-1631). Its scope is not limited to the members of the archbishop’s family: the remarkable careers of individuals writing for the archbishop, members of his « workshop », are thoroughly studied. The examined sources encompass hagiographic, learned, as well as administrative and legal texts. Through an analysis of these various kinds of writings and of the constraints weighing on whoever served the archbishop with a pen, this thesis links two usually separated historical topics: the elaboration of a model of bishop and the specific practices imposed by a Modern bishop in the written production. We examine successively the forming of the archbishop’s workshop just after the Council of Trent, the local elaboration of Carlo Borromeo’s authority in the early 17th c. and finally Federico Borromeo’s dissociation from the model of the workshop through the setting up of a college of learned men endowed with an erudite library, the Ambrosiana (1609). The description of the mechanisms, shapes and media of the texts written for the archbishop of Milan sheds light on a conception of power in Modern Times.

Abstract: The central theme of this research is the escalabriniana education, since the ending of the 19th century to the first four decades of the Republic. Působení Kongregace Milosrdných sester sv. Karla Boromejského v Českých Budějovicích. Příběh černobílého květu města / Activity of the Congregation of Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo in České Budějovice. The lifestory of a black and white flower of the city

Ambrožová, Kristýna January 2015 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the historical activities of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo in České Budějovice between the years 1850 - 1956. The thesis is especially based on the study of archival materials. Each chapter comprehensively describes the history of the three branches where the religious Sisters performed their activities. The branches are listed in chronological order of when they were established in the city. A public hospital is mentioned first, followed by an institutional complex of orphanages and schools at the former Vienna gate, and the group is concluded with an asylum for elderly people in need established in 1888. Particular attention is paid to the circumstances concerning the establishment of each branch, its background, ordinary and extraordinary days that were mostly mentioned in local chronicles; and two local superiors who had a major impact on the development and character of the community are also mentioned in the dissertation. Besides the observation of the beginnings and subsequent unprecedented development of community activities within the city frame, the text also includes an independent final chapter focused on events associated with the definitive end after the year 1948. Orientation in the topic and logical sequence of...

Antonio Campi (1523-1587). Mezi manýrou a barokem. / Antonio Campi (1523-1587). Between Mannerism and Baroque.

Hlušičková, Pavla January 2015 (has links)
The dissertation evaluated the formal, stylistic and contextual analysis of the painting oeuvre of the Cremonese native Antonio Campi. Monographic elaboration of Campi's oeuvre complement to the existing range of syntheses a number of information that has been in the literature so far omitted. The work assessed Antonio's oeuvre on the revision of archival material preserved in Milanese and Cremonese state and church archives, as well as by the means of thorough study of the secondary literature. Chronology of Campi's production was based on the stylistic and formal analysis and at the same time it has been enriched by a number of comparisons of the Lombardy-Ligurian region. Perspective at Antonio's oeuvre was accompanied by drawings and panel paintings that have emerged in the art market in recent years. With this thorough analysis, it became clear that the simple definition of an older Italian scientific literature that had Antonio Campi understood as a painter, who by his work formed the basis of Caravaggio chiaroscuro approach in the last decades of the 16th century and in the early years of the 17th age, proved to be inaccurate. It became clear that with this view we can not identify ourselves any more. Constant changes in mood, surprise, unpredictability, restlessness and individuality, the...
