Neste TRH houve maior porcentagem de remoção da DBO (67,4%), toxicidade com microcrustáceo Daphinia similis (52,3%), condutividade (13,13%), além de significativa remoção da DQO (58,7%) / Abstract: The present study the treatment of the waste waters of a beer and soft drink industry by an aerobic biological system was evaluated. The removal of the organic load by means of the quantification of the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total ammoniacal nitrogen, turbidity, sedimented solids (SS), phosphorus (P), conductivity and toxicity. Were determined proposed the consisted of four reactors in series with a total volume of 16 L. The feeding was carried out carried out continuous by through the of the bioreactor inferior part and by gravity. Expanded clay was used as support for the immobilization of the microorganisms in the reactors. Continuous aeration by means of ascending injection of oxygen was used for the aerobic system. The analyses were performed daily in samples from the treated and untreated industrial effluent using different times of hydraulical retention (HRT/h). The results showed that the treatment system, using 4 connected reactors was efficient for the removal of the pollutant organic load of the industrys effluent. Reduction of the COD occurred in all the tested hydraulical retention times used HRT of 1.9 was found to be the most efficient HRT, since it was the time with the hioghest outflow, fact that is of extreme importance for the treatment of industrial effluents.

André Luiz Iannicelli 16 December 2008 (has links)
The man to promote the industrial and technological development, has contributed to environmental degradation. Today the company is facing the biggest challenge in decades, to further the development of this model, there will be increase in energy consumption, which are highly polluting, and whose sources are about to exhaustion. The rationalization of the use of conventional energy and the use of clean energy may represent the path to be followed, but the replacement of relevant portion of this energy demand a lot of research and time. This paper presents an alternative for use of biogas generated on a sewage treatment station of a brewery, which uses the anaerobic process to make the treatment, since the generation of high organic load is a key feature for the treatment of tributaries this type of industry. The study allows to compare environmental and socio-economic, between the actual use of biogas, characterized as a primary energy source that is burned directly in the atmosphere, and use new proposal in which the biogas will be stored and used as fuel in thermal machines. The energy generated by thermal machines for the industry that will no longer buy the equivalent of external suppliers. The project also includes financial gains with the current trade in carbon credits and if successfully implemented by the industry earned attract environmental, social and economic.

A brewery in Marabastad - The liquid network

Cronje, Marie Lenette 04 1900 (has links)
How can architecture positively impact on the development of integrated economic, social and ecological systems in an urban precinct? This dissertation is about the role that architecture can play as a systemic tool in the form of a brewery to facilitate regeneration in the urban context of Marabastad. Through the theories of regenerative design, systems theory and the non-modern thesis, an architecture of participation between various existing networks on site is established, that empowers resident traders while creating new opportunities for production, retail and social interaction. These activities are rooted in their context and participate in natural cycles and systems. / Dissertation MArch(Prof)--University of Pretoria, 2014 / Architecture / MArch(Prof) / Unrestricted

The water and nutrient potential of brewery effluent for hydroponic tomato production

Power, Sean Duncan January 2014 (has links)
Brewery effluent that had undergone treatment in an anaerobic digester (AD) was used as an alternative water and nutrient source for hydroponic crop production. Brewery effluent was demonstrated to contain sufficient nutrients to support the growth, flowering and fruiting of Lycopersicum escolentum "Moneymaker" tomato crops. The adjustment of the effluent pH with phosphoric acid to between pH 6.0 and 6.5 increased the development of the crops by around 100% compared to crops grown in unaltered effluent. The pH adjusted effluent-grown plants grew to a mean height of 831.4 ± 21.1 mm and a dry biomass weight of 42.34 ± 2.76 g compared to the unaltered pH effluent plants which grew to a height of 410.6 ± 20.5 mm and a weight of 7.65 ± 0.68 g after 49 days. Effluent treatment in high-rate algal ponds (HRAP) was determined to have no positive effect on the nutritional potential of the effluent for Moneymaker production. The effluent-grown plants did not perform as well as plants grown in inorganic-fertilizer and municipal water. Plants grown in effluent grew taller but did not produce significantly more fruit when phosphoric acid (height: 1573.3 ± 50.4 mm, 19.4 ± 1.4 fruit per plant) was compared to nitric acid (height: 1254.1 ± 25.4 mm, 15.6 ± 1.5 fruit per plant) as the pH adjustment over 72 days. Direct and secondary plant stresses from effluent alkalinity, ammonium nutrition, nitrogen limitation, sodium concentrations and heat stress among other factors were probably confounding variables in these trials and require further investigation. Considering the raw effluent composition and manipulating the AD operation is a potential opportunity to improve overall AD performance, reduce chemical inputs in the effluent treatment process, reduce the final effluent alkalinity, and increase available nitrogen content in the final effluent. The anaerobic digester discharging >1000 m³ of nutrient enriched effluent every day is a resource with considerable potential. The benefits of developing this resource can contribute to cost-reduction at the brewery, more efficient water, nutrient and energy management at the brewery, and offer opportunities for job creation and potentially benefit local food security.

Stanovení hodnoty podniku Primátor, a.s. / Determination of enterprise value of company Primátor, a.s.

Nemasta, Lukáš January 2012 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the valuation of the brewery Primátor as at the 1st January 2010. This company was sold to the company LIF, a.s. by the former owner, city of Náchod in the spring 2009 as a company with low rentability and with financial problems caused by inefficient projects of the city, which were realized by the brewery and which weren't connected with the core business of the company, with the brewing. The main purpose of this work is to find the value of brewery after one year production connected wholly with the brewing under the new owner without the financial burden of the city. The value will be compared with the price realized during the transaction of sale. The reason of the comparison is to evaluate the adequacy of this price payed for the brewery.
