This paper describes physical planning of a combined living for senior citizens and old people’s accommodation, the choices of design and how the result was achieved. This paper brings up the question about what the differences in living are between senior citizens and old people, and how this can be combined in one building. This investigation is part of developing a concept. Besides investigating these questions we will make a suggestion of a building on behalf of Smålands Delta AB. The main part of this project is to find a pleasant, functional and appealing solution. The paper describes a planning process from the idea stage to a final concept. A background of the two different types of accommodations is described and visual solutions of our project are presented.

My thesis is concerned with design of architecture form representing the context of existing site and in the appropriate manner integrating animal expositions to present to public in the most natural way. The purpose of this project was reaching the understanding of demands between animals and visitors. The designed organic form comes from these needs and also tries to be integated with surrounding area.

This diploma thesis deals with design of nursing home on plot in Říčky, Brno–country district. The house is without cellar and has two parts - apartment building and public building. Public building has two floors; apartment building has three floors. The vertical load-bearing structure consists mainly of Porotherm ceramic system, horizontal load-bearing structure consists of Spiroll panels. Both buildings are roofed with a gable roof.

The aim of this diploma thesis is design of multifunctional building in the town Zábřeh in dis-trict Šumperk. The house is no basement. It is divided into two operating parts – commercial space and residential space. The building has four floors. Vertical supporting structure are formed by ceramic system Porotherm, horizontal supporting structures are formed by ceramic inserts Porotherm. The building is covered with a flat roof.

Este trabalho é fruto de uma pesquisa-ação associada às atividades de preparação vocal realizadas com o Coral Escola e o Coral Oficina do Comunicantus: Laboratório Coral do Departamento de Música da ECA-USP. Os objetivos dividiram-se em duas perspectivas: a formação do estagiário em preparação vocal e o desenvolvimento da técnica vocal nos coros Escola e Oficina. A coleta de dados foi feita por meio da participação nos ensaios destes dois grupos no ano de 2010 e da análise do protocolo de documentação do Comunicantus: Laboratório Coral. O capítulo 1 inicia-se com uma explanação sobre o funcionamento do Comunicantus: Laboratório Coral e sobre o conceito de Coral Escola, no qual todas as atividades estão fundamentadas; segue com uma discussão a respeito dos desafios da educação coral no século XXI e encerra-se expondo saberes e habilidades que fazem parte da formação dos estagiários em preparação vocal, como a classificação vocal, a percepção vocal e a pedagogia. No capítulo 2, são descritas as principais características vocais dos coralistas iniciantes dos coros Escola e Oficina em relação a postura, respiração, apoio, ressonância, articulação, assim como as dificuldades mais frequentes com afinação. No capítulo 3, por meio de uma confrontação entre as práticas do Comunicantus: Laboratório Coral e a literatura sobre regência coral e pedagogia vocal, são apresentados e discutidos os exercícios mais usados na preparação vocal destes grupos, visando trabalhar aspectos como postura, respiração e apoio, ressonância, diferenciação de vogais, agilidade, staccato, sustentação, homogeneidade de registros vocais, extensão e escuta harmônica. Nas considerações finais, discute-se a perspectiva da preparação vocal como uma atividade complexa, na qual diversos saberes, habilidades e ferramentas são empregados conjunta e interativamente como parte de estratégias que visam à consecução de objetivos artísticos e educativos. / This work is the result of an action research associated to voice building activities performed at the Coral Escola and the Coral Oficina of Comunicantus: Choral Laboratory of the Music Department at ECA-USP. The goals were divided into two perspectives: the training of the trainee in voice building and the development of vocal technique in the choirs Escola and Oficina. Data collection was done through participation in the rehearsals of these two choirs in 2010 and analysis of Comunicantus: Choral Laboratory\'s protocol documentation. Chapter 1 begins with an explanation about the functioning of Comunicantus: Choral Laboratory and about the concept of Choir-School, in which all activities are based; it follows with a discussion about the challenges of choral education in the twenty-first century and it ends exposing knowledge and skills that are part of the training of trainees in voice building, such as vocal classification, vocal perception and pedagogy. Chapter 2 describes the main vocal characteristics of the beginners in the choirs Escola and Oficina regarding posture, breathing support, resonance, articulation, as well as the most frequent difficulties concerning intonation. By confronting the practices of Comunicantus: Choral Laboratory and the literature on choral conducting and vocal pedagogy, Chapter 3 presents and discusses the most used exercises in the voice building activities of these groups, aiming to work aspects such as posture, breathing and support, resonance, vowel differentiation, agility, staccato, sostenuto,homogeneity of vocal registers, extension and harmonic hearing. In the final considerations, voice building is discussed as a complex activity, in which different knowledge, skills and tools are used together and interactively as part of strategies that aim the achievement of artistic and educational goals.

The city has to accommodate these differences and be adapted architectonically to enable the integration of all its dwellers. The idea driving this project is the belief that architectural planning is a potential ally in furthering the social inclusion of people with a disability or reduced mobility. This study thus deals with issues related to their access to cultural facilities, particularly by raising questions concerning the specific legislation and technical standards created to help people with disabilities. Specifically, the aim was to analyze accessibility in seven municipal cultural institutions in São Carlos city in upstate São Paulo, two of which are in outlying municipal districts. Public cultural buildings were chosen for study in the belief that a person with disability should have the same opportunities to participate in cultural life as any other person, thus becoming integrated into society. Cultural spaces should be duly adapted and accessible to the various forms of perception, locomotion and communication characteristic of an inclusive society. All cultural buildings in the chosen area were visited and, using a checklist stipulated by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (NBR 9050, 2004), the public spaces were classed as adequate or inadequate with respect to their accessibility to people with a disability (either visual or physical).The data collected was subjected to quantitative analysis by scoring the commonest accessibility resources, according to their adequacy, as well as the resources not installed. The results show that in all the items analysed, both in the internal and external spaces of the buildings under study, there is a need for adaptations, installations or the building of equipment that allows the physically or visually disabled to interact with the environment in the cultural spaces they choose. By indicating the state of the art in the chosen city, this study contributed to the body of knowledge in the area of accessibility. / Ser acessível é a condição que cabe a um ambiente, espaço ou objeto para ser utilizado por todas as pessoas, já que a diversidade é característica dos seres humanos. A cidade precisa respeitar estas diferenças e deve ser de seu interesse estar adequada arquitetonicamente, de modo a facilitar a integração de todos os indivíduos que nela residem. Considerando o planejamento arquitetônico como aliado na promoção da inclusão social da pessoa com deficiência ou pessoa com mobilidade reduzida, esta pesquisa tratou de questões relacionadas ao acesso aos bens de cultura pelo deficiente, levantando questões referentes à legislação e as normas técnicas, criadas para beneficiar a pessoa com deficiência. Teve-se por objetivo fazer uma análise da acessibilidade em sete instituições municipais de cultura da Cidade e dois Distritos Municipais de São Carlos, interior do Estado de São Paulo. A escolha por edifícios públicos de cultura se deu pelo direito da pessoa com deficiência participar na vida cultural, em igualdade de oportunidades com as demais pessoas, se integrando a sociedade. Todos os prédios foram visitados e, através de um checklist baseado nas Normas da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas NBR9050, 2004, foram registrados os espaços adequados e inadequados em relação à acessibilidade de pessoas com deficiência física e visual. Após a coleta, os dados passaram por análises quantitativas, pontuando os recursos de acessibilidade mais comuns, sua adequação e os recursos não instalados. Os resultados mostram que em todos os itens avaliados nos espaços externos e internos dos edifícios, são necessárias adequações, instalações ou construções de facilitadores que permitam ao deficiente físico e visual a interação com os ambientes nos espaços culturais escolhidos. Este trabalho contribuiu com a construção de conhecimento na área, apontando o estado da arte na cidade estudada.

This thesis deals with processing of a certain part of project documentation for making a new-build house of a guest house. The given object is situated in a flat field in a village Provodov-Šonov, cadastral land Šeřeč which belongs to the Královéhradecký region. The guest house meets the village’s requirements. The guest house is designed as a four-floor building with one underground and three over ground floors. The overall capacity of the guest house is 61 accommodated people. There is a wall construction system. The wall in the underground floor is made from concrete blocks and in the over ground part there are limestone-sand blocks. The object is isolated with desks from mineral fibre. The ceiling construction is designed from prestressed iron-concrete panels. The roof is laid out as flat.

The thesis contains a new building project documentation pension Zadov, first in the form of studies and subsequently as an implementation project. It is a detached building, with two floors and one partial basement. Part of the work is technical thermal technical assessment of selected structures, fire safety report, and the summary accompanying technical report.
