Barzola Dongo, Carmen Rosa, Jong Caffo, Irma Vanessa 03 December 2019 (has links)
The present work is based on the proposal of a business plan for the creation of a microbusiness of hand-made dresses and vests. The idea is based on the need to formalize this business that is currently underway, but informally and due to the good reception and increased demand that it is having for the quality of its products, it requires taking the next step in terms of growth as a company. We have carried out an analysis of the environment, the characteristics of our current and potential clients, as well as the economic and financial projection. The proposal to create a microbusiness response to the annual projected sales total, as well as the intention of accessing some tax benefits and governments that currently drive the development and formalization of companies in our country. In order to have a global vision of the project and determine the competitive advantage of this microbusiness, we have relied on developing various models and analysis tools such as PESTEL, SWOT ANALYSIS, CANVAS, among others. Our strategic plan has an advantage differentiation approach for what we are supporting from the proposed marketing plan. Sales prices have been determined based on a cost structure that we have assembled, as well as the analysis of our current market. This has resulted in a positive projection of economic and financial profitability, which confirms the viability of the project. / Tesis

Relatório final do projeto Mr. Jarbas

Nascimento, Servio Ricardo da Silva January 2014 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 2363512 bytes, checksum: b361ceab4c61763eead69646a123f90c (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015-02-27 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The need for constant renewal organizations undertake to remain at the forefront of the dynamic demands of the market and society as well as the indispensable quest for expansion and business development have required practical approaches to foster creativity and to enable change, given that established processes to manage such objectives are not easily identified. By doing so, this organizational model facilitates the re-assessment the scope and proposal of each organization as a pathway to reinvention. Among numerous approaches, the Canvas method has been utilized by organizations with different sizes and backgrounds. It is presented as a model of renowned efficiency as it proposes not only structure but also a means to foment creative thinking, collaborative work, and the organization and its relationships as a whole. This study is aimed at the examination of the use of the Canvas methodology in promoting organizational planning and development within a managerial group focused on the service industry, food and trade. It takes into consideration concepts drawn from the literature regarding the perception of business professionals about the Canvas method and its application in aforementioned organizational context. This qualitative research study relied on observation and descriptive narrative and data derived from the review of documents and from interviews of managers and the consultant involved in the implementation of the methodology. The conclusion reveals that the implementation of the Canvas was successful as it made use of the original proposal developed by Professor Alexander Osterwalder. It also reveals that the successful implementation is the result of the strong entrepreneurship culture of the managers, of the advanced level of organizational maturity, of the favorable conjuncture, and of the approach with which the managers absorbed the methodology as a mental model.

DIGITALIZATION IS HEATING UP THE BUSINESS MODEL : A degree project regarding the impact of digitalization on a business model canvas within district heating / DIGITALISERINGEN VÄRMER UPP AFFÄRSMODELLEN : Ett examensarbete gällande inverkan av digitaliseringen på affärsmodellen canvas inom fjärrvärme

Öhrlund, Jack, Östman, Catrin January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this degree project is to analyze and investigate how digitalization will affect business modeling in the district heating business. The chosen approach to this degree project was an iterative, abductive method, in order to always use a feedback-analysis and to keep the project open for new findings. The interviews were a mix of a structured method and a qualitative approach. With the structured method, the findings from the interviews were similar and regarding the research topic, and the qualitative approach in some open questions led to matters that otherwise would have been unnoticed. The interviews were performed via e-mail, phone and through personal interviews. This degree project concluded that digitalization has an impact on business modeling in district heating. Digitalization will affect some elements in a major way, for example key resources that will be characterized by digitalization. The findings from this work showed that a business model operating in district heating in a time of digitalization should focus on three main parts: economy, environment and easy visualization. An optimization tool should focus on delivering a value that consist of these three, and the remaining elements should together contribute to that value proposition.

There are many studies on business model innovation with startups and big corporations but the scenario for small businesses is quite different and requires special attention. The objective of this study is to investigate how an established small company of Information Technology innovates on its business model over time. To do this, we conducted a case study to identify the factors that impacted on the business model, from the perspective of nine building blocks of Business Model Canvas. We also evaluated the applicability of the tool related to strengths and difficulties of the drafting process, tool completeness and future opportunities of innovation from the Canvas. The most important factor was the open innovation, because in addition to keep the focus on the core business, the small business can respond to market needs faster and keeps customers engaged with innovation. It is essential to build an internal environment capable of fostering innovation and spreading to the whole team a systematic view of business, using Canvas as assistant tool and enabling the company to relate to external stakeholders (research institutions, big and small companies, startups). The good partnerships encourage the growth of the company while creating benefits to both and providing a complete solution to customers.

Octatonic Pitch Structure and Motivic Organization in George Walker's Canvas for Wind Ensemble, Voices, and Chorus

Nelson, Ryan 05 1900 (has links)
Canvas was commissioned by the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Consortium in fall 1999 for the CBDNA Biennium National Conference to be held at the University of North Texas in February 2001. This substantial and profound three-movement work is Pulitzer Prize winning composer George Walker's first work for wind ensemble and is a milestone in wind composition at the turn of the millennium. This analysis considers Walker's sophisticated use of octatonic collections and their subsets. Walker uses the three transpositions of the octatonic scale as a harmonic framework for the work. Within this framework, specific subsets of the collection are used in traditional harmonic ways. A hierarchy of pitch sets is created, lending a "tonic" function characteristic to prevalent and specifically placed sonorities. Onto this "canvas" of octatonic harmonies, Walker "paints" specific motivic gestures. These motivic gesture monopolize specific intervallic relationships that are initially presented in the beginning of the work. Certain motivic techniques are then employed in the ongoing development of the motivic content. These motivic techniques include melodic suspension, interval alternation, double stroke articulation, irregularly recurring patterns, chordal punctuations, interrupted sequences, and dramatic uses of silence. Formally, Walker uses short "cells" of similar motivic and harmonic content as a tool of organization.

Studenters upplevelser av Kungliga Tekniska högskolans digitala lärandemiljö : En explorativ studie / Students' experiences of the digital learning environment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology : An exploratory study

Wallin, Anders January 2021 (has links)
Education and teaching have evolved, and todays teaching environment utilises many different tools and methods. A digital learning platform, such as Canvas, is one of those tools. KTH:s instance of Canvas is administrated by E-learning management object (The Department of Learning in Engineering Sciences, u.å.). The aim of this study was to investigate how students at KTH, who use Canvas, perceive the digital learning environment, especially Canvas. The focus question used for the study is: How do students experience Canvas' functionality in conjunction with their studies? Tools for conveying knowledge have moved from existing only in the physical world to having partially moved into the digital world. This provides several new opportunities for communication and adaptation. The use of computers in everyday life and studies has accelerated recently. The computer has become an obvious tool for communication within the world. Student life is not limited to the physical environment; it has expanded to the digital one. The start for one of the first digital platforms for learning at KTH was born in the mid-90s in one of KTH:s own courses and later to become Bilda /PING PONG. Canvas is an LMS (Learning Management System) which can be used to support students in their studies, and includes functions such as quizzes, grade follow-up, discussion forums and more. The transition to Canvas began with a pilot test in the autumn of 2016 (Stenberg,2017). The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is something that Sweden has signed, which in turn affects KTH as a Swedish state university. The fourth goal is that which is primarily aimed at schools, universities and colleges: Ensure an inclusive and equal education of good quality and promote lifelong learning for all (Agenda 2030, u.å.,s. 12). The goals go hand in hand with KTH:s values (KTH, u.å.) and KTH:s policy for sustainable development (Policy för hållbarutveckling för KTH, u.å.). This thesis is a small step on the path towards fulfilling those goals. In order to survey how students perceive their digital learning environment, with regard to functions and navigation, a sequential exploratory approach with mixed methods was used. This study contains a pre-study with semi-structured interviews and a quantitative survey. The pre-study consisted of four interviews and a thematic analysis of the transcription of the interviews. Even if the selection is made for convenience (Denscombe, 2019), the group from which the interviewed students were selected from had all branches at all KTH:s campuses represented. Therefore, the group could be considered representative. This meant that the pre-study could not be seen as universal but gave an indication of the direction for the survey. The majority of the survey's statements was created by the themes that emerged in the analysis of the pre-study interviews. Thematic analysis has been used on both the content of the transcript of the interviews and for the free text answers in the survey. To get a quick overview, an indicative colouring of the results was created. The source data was deidentified at the time of transcription and the questions for the survey were carefully selected so that "the principleof data minimisation" (GDPR, 2016/ 679 reason 156) was adhered to. The pre-study identified two strong themes: "read and manage files" and "Usage", each with three sub-themes. These formed the basis for the statements in the survey. The survey had 614 answers, accounting for 4.5 percent of the 13,514 full-time students in 2019 (KTH Årsredovisning 2019.pdf, u.å., s. 4). The response rate slowed down towards the end of the response time, which shows a saturation of students' willingness to respond. In summary, the majority responded with Canvas being a positive experience and that it helped them in their studies. In general, there were challenges in communication both in messaging and forumfunction. The survey results indicate that the students were quitepositive about the platform and thought the platform had potential, unlike the informants in the pre-study who were more critical and frustrated with the system. By extending the physical classroom with online resources, the student can continuously develop, as the tutoring is not confined to the teaching hours. The forum and direct messages can be an opportunity for students to break the isolation of studying on their own and to receive support from both teachers and other students. Through assignments and quizzes, the student can practice and gain reinforcement in the acquisition of knowledge. Digital platforms may increase accessibility, regardless of whether the student needs speech synthesis, or studies better at different times of the day. The areas with challenges are the discussion forum, ease and efficiency of retrieving documents and files, and Canvas messaging functions. In addition, the survey showed that some students only used Canvas for the mandatory steps. Nevertheless, the students answered with a positive tone in most of the survey.
