Prototype Research and Development of DSP-Based Motion Control Card with USB2.0 InterfaceChao, Ping-Hsia 09 July 2002 (has links)
The thesis will be established as prototype of DSP-Based motion control card with USB2.0 interface. The whole system is composed of three subsystems: 1. Windows AP¡]Application Program¡^, 2.USB2.0 development tools, and 3.DSP development tools. Many motion control commands can be transmitted from friendly AP, through USB2.0 development board, to DSP development board, for example, position, velocity and acceleration. DSP will parse and execute these commands immediately; furthermore, the course and result of processing can be sent back to host by the same route. Then AP can display the data received from target with high readability. In a word, proved by experiment, the thesis achieved the expected goal: accomplish the prototype research and development of DSP-Based motion control card with USB2.0 interface.

Performance measurements are used in computer systems to guaranty the best performance at the lowest cost. Establishing measurement tools and metrics has helped build comparison scales between computers. Smart cards are no exception. But the centred stage of the smart card industry is mostly busy with security issues. Efforts towards a better integration of performance tests are still modest. Our work focused on a better approach in estimating the execution time within Java Card platforms. Those platforms constitute a big part of the modern smart card market share especially with regards to multi-applicative environments. After introducing some methodologies to better measure the performance of Java Cards, we detail the tools and the tests that we mean to use on smart cards. We will thereafter analyze the data obtained in this way. Finally, an original application for smart cards is proposed. We used it to validate some points about the results.

A Generic Approach for Protecting Java Card™ Smart Card Against Software Attacks / Une approche générique pour protéger les cartes à puce Java Card ™ contre les attaques logiciellesBouffard, Guillaume 10 October 2014 (has links)
Smart cards are the keystone of various applications which we daily use: pay money for travel, phone, etc. To improve the security of this device with a friendly development environment, the Java technology has been designed to be embedded in a smart card. Introduce in the mid-nineties, this technology becomes nowadays the leading application platform in the world. As a smart card embeds critical information, evil-minded people are interested to attack this device. In smart card domain, attacks and countermeasures are advancing at a fast rate. In order to have a generic view of all the attacks, we propose to use the Fault Tree Analysis. This method used in safety analysis helps to understand and implement all the desirable and undesirable events existing in this domain. We apply this method to Java Card vulnerability analysis. We define the properties that must be ensured: integrity and confidentiality of smart card data and code. During this thesis, we focused on the integrity property, especially on the code integrity. Indeed, a perturbation on this element can break each other properties. By modelling the conditions, we discovered new attack paths to get access to the smart card contents. We introduce new countermeasures to mitigate the undesirable events defined in the tree models.

校園智慧卡系統應用與發展之研究 / A Study of the Application and Expansion of Campus Smart Card游麗珠, You, Lai-Ju Unknown Date (has links)
The government implements the IC Card business for almost eight years, but the effects are very limited. To segment consumer market, financial institutions and some universities in Taiwan co-issue Campus Smart Cards. This card has extensible functions of IC Card and can be used as campus identification card, including library ID, student ID, parking ID, etc. Furthermore, Campus Smart Card provides some functions of IC Card that can be used as payment tools on campus, such as electronic money and prepaid phone.
In 1997, National Chengchi University took the lead to issue smart cards. To date, about 30 universities have issued Campus Smart Cards for almost million people. However, the total expenditure of Campus Smart Cards is not so good as expected earlier, and the volume of card issue declines. At the beginning, financial institutions issued Campus Smart Cards aggressively to let young people stimulate consumer market and to change consumers' behavior. But the situation doesn't achieve the goal.
This paper discusses and analyzes the bottleneck of IC Card issue and the problems that financial institutions face when they push Campus Smart Cards. The research data are collected from FISC (Financial Information Service Co., Ltd.), including volume of card issue and card operation for IC Card. A discovery research method is used to do secondary data analysis. The purposes of this research are listed below: To find out problems during the implementation of Campus Smart Card and provide suggestions. Secondly, try to let Campus Smart Card be a popular multi-function card. Also, provide workable suggestions for the government to implement multi-function Smart Cards in the future.

Advances in Telemetry Capability as Demonstrated on an Affordable Precision MortarDon, Michael L. 10 1900 (has links)
ITC/USA 2011 Conference Proceedings / The Forty-Seventh Annual International Telemetering Conference and Technical Exhibition / October 24-27, 2011 / Bally's Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada / This paper presents three telemetry techniques demonstrated on an affordable precision mortar that allowed the guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) system to be effectively analyzed. The first is a technique for the real-time integration and extraction of GPS data into a sensor telemetry stream. The second is a method for increasing telemetry bandwidth by saving a short period of high rate data and then broadcasting it over the rest of the flight test. Lastly, I present an on-board data storage implementation using a MicroSD card.

Designing Credit Card ABS in Taiwan趙振宏, Chao, Chen-Hung Unknown Date (has links)
Three decades ago, the first securitization product was introduced to the investing public in the United States by federal agencies and similar products showed up in Taiwan in 2002. It is a brand new concept for investors in Taiwan and material differences between the west and the east should be considered thoroughly.
This research focus on must-knows and critical techniques of securitization of credit card receivables in Taiwan. The researcher discovered that, the competitiveness of originators is one crucial factor for credit card securitization to survive during serious conditions. Without the ability to refill declining credit card receivables in asset pool of securitization transactions, early amortization will be triggered and that’s where case closed.
Cash flow forecasting model is another important player in credit card securitization. By predicting future cash flows needed and generated, originators can reap the most profit. However, the variables in this magic model are not easy to find. Through multiple analyses and one simulated case, the researcher found that the most important factors are yield rate, loss rate, repurchase rate, and monthly payment rate. / Three decades ago, the first securitization product was introduced to the investing public in the United States by federal agencies and similar products showed up in Taiwan in 2002.
