The human brain is always searching for recognizable shapes, it is natural for us to always look for connections and try to get an overall sense of things and situations. But what if the form dissolves itself and instead creates a range between the more clear and intense to the blurred and defocused.By using an entanglement of lines that further out from the inner centre reduces its intensity, it will create an effect of a weak, unsettled edge that is hard to read. My project investigates this phenomena and how a mass of single components merge into a singular whole permeable structure that absorbs the program of the transit centre.By using the technique of this complex nested hierarchy of components will I create a variation of areas and nested pochés. These areas will work as the different climate zones that a transit station requires. / Den mänskliga hjärnan söker alltid efter igenkännbara former, det är naturligt för oss att alltid leta efter anslutningar och försöka få en övergripande känsla av saker och ting. Men vad händer om formen löser upp sig och skapar istället ett intervall mellan det mer tydliga och intensiva och det suddiga och oskarpa.Genom att använda en sammanflätning av linjer som längre ut från den inre kärnan minskar sin intensitet, kommer det att skapa en effekt av en svag, otydlig kant som är svår att läsa av. Mitt projekt undersöker detta fenomen och hur en massa enstaka komponenter kan slås samman till en hel genomsläpplig struktur som absorberar programmet för transit center. Genom att använda tekniken i denna komplexa kapslade hierarki av komponenter kommer jag att skapa en variation av områden och pochéer. Dessa områden kommer att fungera som de olika klimatzoner som ett resecentrum kräver.

The work about Nové Nové Sady is solving place around avenue Nové Sady in a situation where the main railway station does not move into the Southern city center but is retained in its current location. The project is focused on urban sites where is now very low density. A large part of the land is occupied by the railway constructions. The aim was to create a functioning urban structure with high population density combined with smaller offices and shops. An important feature is the rise up density of the existing urban structure. Emphasis is placed on the views of the dominant Petrov Spilberk that this area offers.

This study argues for the influence of Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy on Elizabeth Smart's novel, By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept. Following Goran Hermeren's guidelines for an influence argument, I argue the case for Smart's contact with Nietzsche's work, similarities between his work and Smart's novel, and the effect of his work on Smart's novel. Nietzsche's conception of tragedy applies to and describes the novel surprisingly well, explaining certain similarities between the authors' works while identifying another of the text's many genres. The argument is largely based on circumstantial evidence, but its cumulative force is highly suggestive of a hitherto unrecognized philosophical complexity in Smart's novel.

The main subject of this diploma thesis is to make a proposal to improve the optical access network for the transmission of Triple play services. I would here to the reader clarify method of proposal of optical network. There are described the kinds of optical access networks with parameters, for which we must look by their construction. There are described the modern methods of construction optical network too. In the theoretical part are discussed used architecture of networks too. I met here known standards, which I compared for big importance by their choice. A reason of construction of optical network are services known like Triple play. These services together with their problems and parameters are here discussed too. At the end of theoretical part I listed here measuring method for getting negative attribute distorting the led signal. In practical part the locality witch use the optical signal as the source of information is ordered. These network use unfit connections and has less possibilities than usual and this is the reason, why is the network not able to supply Triple play in requested quality. At first the analysis of ordered network was needed. Situation was complicated by the fact, that it has been prohibited entrance to me. The structure of network and network parts was known and documented by me. I made the proposals to improve this network in practical part. By the first proposal remained original kind of access network FTTB, but used new parts with higher performance. By the second proposal I made the network FTTH, by which it was possible to use the last haul optical cables with treatment and using new elements. It was needed to create solution by flat units. The resulting proposals are here evaluated, compared and cost evaluated. For rejection of access to optical network I did not make measuring, so I made simulation for variant FTTH for getting some parameters negative acting transmission.

The aim of this thesis is to explore the role of the diagrams as generative design tools in architectural design process. Identifying the utilization of the diagrams as infrastructural and organizational elements in the design process, it aims to be concentrate on their potency for generating novel design concepts. The search has been for the possibilities of design processes developed and manipulated not through analytical use of diagrams that represents the already established relationships but through their generative use that is responsible for the proliferation of ideas for novel design concepts. The alteration in the definition of diagrams, their active role in the generation of design ideas, and their progression during the design process, as well as the ways in which they contribute to the delay of formal concerns through the practice are scrutinized.
In order to explore the generative and mediating roles of diagrams in architectural design practice, this thesis examines the utilization of diagrams by exemplifying the strategies of UN Studio. Through exploration of their pioneering projects, the Mö / bius House, the Arnhem Central Station and the Mercedes Benz Museum, it aims to unfold their design methods regarding diagrams.
Diagrams are examined in terms of the way they are utilized and operated from conceptualization to building. While standing at a critical distance, it argues for an architectural design process where design ideas are formed and evolved by utilization of diagrams as generative tools from the initial phases of the design to the actualization of the building.

Denna uppsats undersöker den upplevda tryggheten på Uppsala Centralstation med utgångspunkt i besökarnas personliga upplevelser. Syftet med studien är att förstå hur besökare upplever tryggheten på Uppsala Centralstation och att identifiera de faktorer som påverkar dessa upplevelser. Studien syftar till att besvara huvudfrågan: Hur upplever besökare tryggheten på Uppsala Centralstation? Forskningsmetodiken innefattade en enkät som delades ut till besökare under en specificerad tidsperiod. Enkäten samlade in demografisk information, besöksmönster och subjektiva bedömningar av tryggheten i olika delar av stationen vid olika tider på dygnet. Resultaten visar att den generella upplevelsen av trygghet på Uppsala Centralstation är neutral, men det finns betydande variationer beroende på tid på dygnet och specifika områden. Centralpassagen, Frodeparken och parkeringsgaraget identifierades som områden där besökare känner sig minst trygga, främst med anledning av bristande belysning och närvaron av störande individer. Studien lyfter fram att de mest betydande faktorerna som påverkar den upplevda tryggheten inkluderar närvaron av störande personer, tillgängligheten av säkerhetspersonal och belysningsförhållandena. För att förbättra tryggheten föreslås åtgärder som att öka antalet patrullerande poliser eller väktare, förbättra belysningen och installera fler övervakningskameror. Uppsatsen konkluderar att även om objektiva säkerhetsåtgärder som förbättrad belysning och ökad säkerhetsnärvaro är viktiga, är det avgörande att adressera både fysiska och sociala faktorer för att förbättra den övergripande upplevelsen av trygghet på Uppsala Centralstation. Framtida forskning bör överväga att inkludera brottsstatistik och jämföra Uppsala Centralstation med andra liknande stationer för att identifiera gemensamma problem och effektiva lösningar. / This report examines the perceived safety at Uppsala Central Station, focusing on visitors’ personal experiences of the station area. The purpose of the study is to understand how visitors perceive safety at the station and to identify the factors influencing these perceptions. The study aims to answer the primary research question: how do visitors perceive safety at Uppsala Central Station? The research methodology involved a survey distributed to visitors during a specified period. The survey gathered demographic information, visiting patterns, and subjective assessments of safety across different areas of the station at various times of the day. The findings indicate that while the general perception of safety at Uppsala Central Station is neutral, there are significant temporal and spatial variations. The Central Passage, Frodeparken, and the parking garage were identified as areas where visitors feel most unsafe, primarily due to inadequate lighting and the presence of disruptive individuals. The study highlights that key factors influencing perceived safety include the presence of disruptive individuals, the availability of security personnel, and lighting conditions. Recommendations for enhancing safety include increasing the number of patrolling police officers or security guards, improving lighting, and installing additional surveillance cameras. The report concludes that while objective safety measures such as improved lighting and increased security presence are essential, addressing both physical and social factors is crucial for enhancing the overall perception of safety at Uppsala Central Station. Future research should consider incorporating crime statistics and comparing Uppsala Central Station with other similar stations to identify common issues and effective solutions.
