Arken är ett förslag på stadsdelshus placerat i Tensta centrum. Byggnaden hjälper till att koppla samman olika nivåer i området med hjälp av flera entréer och halvplan. Arkitekturen inbjuder medborgarna att röra sig genom byggnaden och att stanna kvar. Genom ett centralt atrium med trapphus skapas kontakt mellan våningarna samt bidrar till spontana möten mellan de som jobbar i byggnaden och besökarna. För ett klimatmässigt hållbart byggande är stommen gjord i trä. Med ett pelarsystem skapas flexibla utrymmen som gör det möjligt att över tid förändra funktionen för lokalerna. Stora glaspartier tillsammans med flera atrium släpper in gott om ljus för en trivsam arbetsmiljö. Här finns både kontorslokaler och offentliga ytor för medborgarna. Bland annat innehåller byggnaden en restaurang, många mötesrum i varierande storlek, en generös presentationshall och flera andra utställningsytor. Byggnadens ambition är att skapa en trivsam miljö som ger mer än den tar till platsen. / Arken is a proposal for a town hall in the center of Tensta, Stockholm. The building is connected to the different ground levels through several entrances. A central atrium with stairs creates a connection between the different floors. It also creates a place for spontaneous meetings between visitors and the office workers. The architecture invites the citizens into the building regardless if it´s for a shortcut on their way to work or a place to spend the afternoon. There are conference rooms for different purposes and in different sizes. There is a restaurant, a grand presentation hall and spaces for both studying and exhibitions. For a sustainable building the framework is made out of wood. To create a flexible environment that has a possibility to change over a long term perspective, the structure is constructed with fixed pillars and non-load bearing walls. This makes it possible to rebuild the layout of the building. Large windows helps create an airy, light and pleasant environment.
