The diploma thesis deals with the issue of stable climate, amount of gas emissions in pig breeding. It evaluates the technology used in the selected breed and suggests improvement. Part of the thesis is a literary research of the issue of breeding from a physical and legislative point of view. The measurements were carried out using Commeter D4141, Testo 435 and INNOVA 1412. The measured values are compared to the EU directive. By measuring, it was found that despite the technology used, the existing limits in breeds were exceeded by up to 47%. There are suggested options for how to change this situation.

European grayling (Thymallus thymallus L.) is important and ancestral kind of fish in Czech Republic. Today number of grayling in open waters is decreasing. It caused many reasons. Mainly increasing fishing pressure, unfavourable regulation of streams, water pollutinon, raising occurrence of predators etc. That is why is necessarily devote care to this problem. Main goals of this work were optimalization of technologies to decrease post-spawning mortality of grayling spawners. Optimalization of technologies for breedig offspring of European grayling (Thymallus thymallus L.). Use artificially propagated stock of European grayling (Thymallus thymallus L.) in conditions of open waters. Experiments were done in Blanice River in South Bohemia (Czech Republic) and a hatchery of the Czech Anglers´ Union in Husinec. Part works were done in 2005, but majority in 2006. Results of this work indicate that is possible decrease post-spawning mortality of grayling spawners with using antibiotics. Also using stockfish from controlled conditions for restocking the open waters is conditionally possible. Problem is however with high losses after release.

U sivena arktického bylo provedeno testování různých krmiv při odchovu plůdku, půlroční násady a ryb o stáří 1+ do tržní hmotnosti. Součástí experimentu u plůdku byl orientační rozbor celkového tuku v krmivech a těle ryb. Pozitivní vliv krmiva na produkční charakteristiky byl prokázán pouze při odkrmu plůdku, kdy bylo u krmiva DAN-EX 1362 dosaženo signifikantně lepších produkčních výsledků oproti krmivu Milkivit (p{<}0,05). U dalších věkových skupin sivena arktického nebyl mezi testovanými krmivy (DAN-EX 2844, DAN-EX 2446) prokázán žádný signifikantní rozdíl vlivu na produkční charakteristiky. Na konci odkrmu tržních jedinců bylo provedeno zhodnocení jatečné výtěžnosti, odpadu, podílu viscerálního tuku a gonadosomatického indexu (GSI) v závislosti na pohlaví, kde bylo u jikernaček dosaženo průkazně lepších výsledků (p{<}0,05). Součástí posouzení stolní hodnoty tohoto druhu ryby byla senzorická analýza filetů. Na základě výsledků senzorického posouzení byly prokázány horší organoleptické vlastnosti mlíčáků v chuti a konzistenci svaloviny (p{<}0,05).

Breeding of European bison (Bison bonasus) in the Czech Republic has begun to expand recently. The main aim of this graduation theses is to aquaire foreign information of this European breed and map breeding of this species in our country. Furthermore this thesis includes description of breeding European bison on one specific farm in Radany in South Bohemia and monitoring of ethologic knowledge of this certain herd. Bisons are kept in semi-natural conditions on the farm in the area of 14 ha. The basic herd of bisons forms 13 heads of Low-Caucasus genetic line. This part concludes with presentation of information boards of nature trail which is part of the Radany farm.

This diploma thesis focuses on the legal regulation of horse breeding. It analyses and describes the applicable legislation in the Czech Republic, evaluates its shortcomings and suggests possible improvements. At the same time, the thesis connects the description of the legal regulation with best practise examples. The legislation of horse breeding is mostly represented within public law, but it can be found also in private law, making the orientation on this topic much more difficult. The knowledge of legislation and their provision to the widest possible range of people plays the key assumption for the better following of regulations. Despite the annual increase of horses in the Czech Republic, less attention is paid to this area. The diploma thesis consists of nine chapters, which are divided for simplicity into subchapters. The first chapter creates an introduction. It refers to the development and changes in the use of horses in the Czech Republic and it sets goals of the thesis. In the chapter two, the legal status of horse is defined in both, private and public law. The third chapter consists of legislation of horse breeding, taking evidence and labelling of horses. The thesis deals with the issue of the importance of domesticated animal breeding in households focusing in Central Bohemia and Prague. The theoretical part discussed the issue of domesticated animal breeding in our country and abroad, history of breeding, venomous and dangerous species breeding and breeding of endangered species. The thesis also describes issues of animal shelters, the negatives of transmittable diseases to humans and the positives of human contact with nature (canistherapy, felistherapy). That research was collected via anonymous questionnaires. In the research part the obtained conclusions were evaluated by questionnaire survey. The aim was to determine which domestic animals are the most popular and most frequently breeded in certain types of families (children's influence on breeding, comparison of housing and animal husbandry in the town and village). The diploma thesis is focused on an evaluation of functioning of a specific organic farm. The theoretical part describes the history of organic farming, its significance, objectives and current state of ecological production in the Czech Republic. It also describes the necessary requirements for farming under the organic farming regime, including the control system. The practical part is characterized by a region where a particular farm is located and a description of this ecofarm. The conclusion draws a SWOT analysis and a comparison of the registry data of organic entrepreneurs in the region are made.

The aim of the diploma thesis was to evaluate the level of reproduction and kid rearing of the selected goat herd and to evaluate the milk production of the herd. The practical part of the thesis evaluates the results achieved on a selected family farm with goat breeding. In the period 2015-2017, the total dairy yield of the herd was recorded. In 2017, the level of reproduction and kid rearing was also monitored. The detected values are then compared to the average data achieved in performance testing in the given years and the results of foreign studies on a similar topic. Herd fertility was rather average and reached 136 %. The percentage of kids reared by 1 goat was 112 %. Dairy production per 1 goat for lactation was rather below average, it was 437 kg in 2015, 414,4 kg in 2016, and 347,2 kg in 2017. The percentage of fat, protein and lactose content was comparable to performance testing values. In the end of the thesis several modifications are suggested to improve the organisation of goat breeding on the farm.

The main topic of this thesis was to study changes of goat colostrum and milk during lactation and the context of their composition and biochemical parameters of goat blood. The literature review summarizes the basic information about goat milk, its production, factors which determine its quality and how nutrition affects the composition of goat's milk. The practical part of this work is devoted to the evaluation of the goat colostrum and milk composition and its comparison to the lactation phase and to the biochemical tests of the blood of these animals. For the purpose of this study, 15 white shorthair dairy goats were monitored for 30 days, colostrum and milk samples were collected nine times and blood was collected three times for biochemical profile evaluation. Fat, protein, lactose, fat free solids, somatic cell counts and electrical conductivity were determined in colostrum and milk samples. These results were compared and found similar with the values from other studies and a similar progress of lactation was observed. Furthermore, the correlation coefficients between colostrum / milk parameters and the values of biochemical examination of goat blood were calculated. The results of interrelationships of blood biochemical parameters and colostrum / milk composition do not confirm the unequivocal relationship between biochemical blood parameters and colostrum / milk composition. Given the large number of factors that may affect both colostrum and milk composition and the concentration of biochemical parameters of blood plasma, further research focused on the relationship between these indicators in dairy goats would be appropriate.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of finding the position of small and medium-sized holdings, especially family farms, in the current environment of agribusiness. For this purpose, it defines the business environment of agribusiness and the development phase of Czech agriculture in this environment. It evaluates the historical development of the business and size structure of agricultural holdings in our country after 1989. In addition, it defines the specifics of family farms and its position in Czech agriculture in comparison with the other EU member states. The theoretical knowledge is confronted with the real situation of a concrete small family farm. Using SWOT analysis, strategies for the possible future development of the farm are formulated.
