STEHNOVÁ, N., Shopping behaviour of consumers on the vegetable market in the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2020. The diploma thesis describes the situation on the vegetable market in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis monitors the development of sowing areas, harvest, consumption, consumer prices and the development of foreign trade of vegetables in recent years. The next part of the thesis deals with factors affecting shopping behaviour of consumers on the vegetable market. These consumers are further divided into individual segments by means of cluster analysis. Not least, the thesis also includes the research of Czech vegetable producers. At the end of the thesis are formulated recommendations for the consumers, producers and traders on the vegetable market.

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis was comparing differences in relaxing behaviour of suckler cows at grazing and in the stable. This relaxing behaviour included frequency of standing and lying. For lying cows there was explored the preference of right or left side and the head´s orientation to cardinal points. The observation took place at Ostry´s farm in Kozlov by Bystřice nad Pernštejnem during one year between December 2015 and November 2016. By one day in month in time from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. there were observed suckler cows, mostly crossbreeds of beef breeds. Finally, was evaluated 1391 cases. There are some results at comparison of the differences in relaxing behaviour of cows in depending on technology. Cows in wintering place stood more than on grazing (p < 0,05), but the part of lying cows was almost identical in both places, in stable and on grazing (p > 0,05). Next results are at evaluation of temperature influence. Cows with high statistical significance (p < 0,01) stood more by lower temperatures (to 5 °C), than by higher temperature (15,1 < °C). The part of lying cows with statistical significance was higher in temperature zone 15,1 < °C, than in temperature zone to 5 °C and in zone between 5,1 and 15 °C. Cows in the zone 15,1 < °C preferred left side and cows in zone to 5 °C and zone between 5,1 and 15 °C preferred right side. This result is without statistical significance. By evaluation influence of relative air humidity found out followings. Cows with high statistical significance and with growing relative air humidity more stood, and they devoted to other activity less. The part of lying cows was almost identical in all humidity zones. Lying cows on grazing had head oriented mostly to west, alternatively to north-west or to south. This result has high statistical significance. Lying cows in wintering place had head oriented mostly to east, alternatively to north or south. It has high statistical significance, too. By other categories (heifers and calfs) in depending on technology there was not detected statistically significant difference in relaxing behaviour besides laterality. The heifers preferred right side more on grazing than in stable with statistical significance. Calfs preferred right side on grazing and left side in wintering place.

This work describes a typical expressions of horses. I compare the behaviour of horses stabled in stalls and horses who spend most of the day on pasture. The first part is devoted to basic categories of behaviours such as feeding behaviours, social expressions of horses, comfortable behaviours, locomotion of horses, relaxation and then defecation and undesirable stereotypic behaviour. With this problems related welfare, which I mention in work. I follow on division housing technology, which I compare. The second part, I propose a methodology and I do own observation, which evaluates tables and graphs. For the experiment, I chose boxing stabling and grazing. I compare the different behaviour of horses who spend nearly all day in the stable and horses who are all day on pasture and only for night, they spend in stable

This diploma thesis examines how the consumption of selected foods of a carbohydrate nature influences the psychology of human behavior. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provides a comprehensive overview of metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. It also deals with the influence of individual components of food on the psychology of human behavior. Last but not least, he describes methods for detecting nutritional status of individuals. The practical part consists of the evaluation of two questionnaire surveys. The first questionnaire survey was attended by 103 respondents and focused on assessing the nutritional status of the population. The second questionnaire survey was conducted on the basis of an experiment. For four weeks, 16 probands consumed selected cereals from Emco s.r.o. supplemented with a protein component. Prior to consumption (ie fasting) and 1.5 hours after it, participants filled out questionnaires that focused on current experiences and feelings. Based on the results, I made a statistical evaluation using graphs and a final evaluation of the results.

This thesis analyses perception of corporate social responsibility of customers who shop in health food stores in the city of Brno, compared with ordinary customers of retail chains. Based on a quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire for consumers and also qualitative research through in-depth interviews with owners of the health food stores, it brings recommendations for producers and companies that supply products to health food stores. These recommendations answer the question whether producers should communicate social responsible activities or focus on other factors that are more important for consumers and owners of the health food stores.

Bukvová, T., Consumer Behavior in the Organic Food Market. Diploma thesis. Brno Mendel University in Brno, 2017. The main objective of the thesis was to describe individual segments of organic food consumers and to suggest recommendations for both consumers and entrepreneurs (respecting the segments). The segments were identified on the basis of a primary survey related to consumer behavior in the organic food market. The theoretical part is focused more on the consumer and his behavior, the factors of influence and the possibilities of promotion. The practical part is dedicated to overview of secondary information and the primary research carried out by questionnaire survey is processed and evaluated. In conclusion of the thesis are recommendations for organic food market consumers and entrepreneurs. Discussion and conclusion summarize the problems and lists the results.

Buyer decision process is an important mechanism in the heads of consumers which leads them through purchase decisions. To understand behaviour of consumers, this process has to be analyzed and explained. Aim of this thesis is to analyze market of electric shavers in the Czech Republic and to determine key factors influencing purchase behaviour. Secondary and primary research are undertaken to reach the goal of the paper. In addition, five hypotheses are evaluated to verify author's expectations about the market of electric shavers for men in the Czech Republic. Analysis shows that consumers base their decisions about shavers mostly on performance and price. Though, majority of consumers do not buy shavers themselves, but receive it as a present from close family or relatives.

The diploma thesis "Risks of suicidal behavior among adolescents: Diagnostic, intervention and preventive options" deals with suicidality and suicidal behavior among adolescents in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic terms of this topic, various approaches and understanding of this issue in the past and in the present. This work also deals with the forms, methods and motives of suicidal behavior. Furthermore it describes the age of adolescence as an independent evolutionary period in the life of man and analyses the risks of this life era. The theoretical part also contains a description of the epidemiology of this phenomenon and possible diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive approaches to suicidal behavior. The empirical part of this thesis describes the research in which the goal was to determine the connection of the increase of suicidal risk and the basic dimension of the personality (using the Freiburg's Personality Inventory), social support (by the Perceived Social Support Scale) and life engagement (through the Life Engagement Test). The research sample contained 99 respondents from the last years of one of Prague's grammar school and two of Prague's vocational schools. This diploma thesis deals with consumer behavior and decision making on the pharmacy retail market. The main objective is to identify characteristics of consumer behavior on the pharmacy market in Czech Republic and to provide recommendations for independent pharmacy owners and managers. This thesis focuses on identification of factors, which influence consumers when choosing and visiting a pharmacy. The main source for analysis of consumer behavior come from the data obtained from 456 respondents via questionnaire survey. The data was processed and assessed using the software Statistica v. 12. One of the main finding is the big importance of sales personnel in pharmacy detail for consumer satisfacti-on. The quantitative survey was supplemented with in-depth interviews with inde-pendent pharmacy owners (n = 5). The survey results allowed to formulate recom-mendations for independent pharmacies.

This diploma thesis deals with consumer behavior during making a purchase of music in the Czech Republic. It focuses on factors which influence consumer during purchase process, on consumer purchase decision making and on consumer preferences and demands. The main source of data was a questionnaire survey conducted on sample of 565 respondents. The data were collected in October 2015. On the basis of the data the segmentation of the market was carried out. The survey results allowed to formulate recommendations and conclusions for music market in the Czech Republic, and music industry in general.
