NABYTÁ, Michaela January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to conduct the ethological observation of the meat cows´ maternal behaviour in the period of calving. The observation was realized on the farm with utility breeding of meat cows Milná at an altitude of 800 m, where two herds (A, B) of 20 heads were formed. In herd A, there were horned crossbred cows of Masný Simentál breed that were placed on the pastures, including 20 ha winter rally, year-round. In herd B, there were also the crossbred cows of Masný Simentál breed that were stabled in the empty reconstructed shed organized in boxes during the wintertime. In herd A, 55% of cows calved during the daylight. The biggest incidence of parturitions was registered from 6:30 to 8:30 am (36 %). 65 % of cows calved out of the herd in the distance from 200 m to 450 m. The first suction at 90% of calves happened without the keeper´s assistance. Among the stabled cows, only 25 % of them calved during the daylight, mainly from 7:00 to 8:00 am. 50% of cows calved in the corridor. The first suction without the keeper´s assistance occurred at 85 % of calves. Placement of meat cows into the shed during winter proved to be suitable due to better care of both the cow and the calf. Cows winter in better climatic conditions that can, for example, positively influence their longevity. Devastation of the winter rally lands decreases markedly.

Faktory ovlivňující stravovací návyky žáků základních škol / Factors affecting food preferences of primary school pupils

Fourová, Karolína January 2016 (has links)
In the Czech Republic and the whole world, the global prevalence of overweight children and child obesity is increasing. This situation may result in a continuation overweight or obesity until adulthood and development related diseases, social and psychological discomfort. Overweight in children and adolescents may have a variety of negative consequences, affecting not only quality of life, but also health in adulthood. These include, for example, osteoporosis, diabetes second type, obstructive sleep apnea, hypertension, dyslipidemia or metabolic syndrome, but also the psychological aspects. Skipping breakfast or snacks and the overall low frequency of eating is often associated with high consumption of sweetened beverages and foods, high in simple sugars and a large amount of fat, which affects the development of overweight and obesity. The creation of the principles of good eating and lifestyle is depending on lifestyle of the whole family in childhood or adolescence. The environment for eating, which is created by family and school, has positive effect on promoting healthy eating and it can contribute to reducing the obesity epidemic. This study presents evidence on the level of nutrition education for elementary school pupils in the Czech Republic. Confirmation of the hypothesis, which is based on the fact, that absence of breakfast and snacks in children eating habits leads to a higher frequency of purchases of energy-dense foods with inappropriate nutritional composition, should highlight the need for increased intervention in the topic of parent's and children's eating habits. Results should support the importance of regular meals and nutritional balanced home-made snacks in children's eating habits, which could reduce the percentage of overweight and obese children and also the percentage of obese adults in future.

Využití zoorehabilitace se psem při výuce dětí s poruchami psychického vývoje / The effect of the dog-asissted activity in children disorders of psychological development during education

Schwarzová, Kristýna January 2016 (has links)
The goal of the thesis was to find out if dog´s presence and the targeted work of a child with a dog helps improve children´s attention to teaching and their results. The majority of academic literature shows that dog assisted therapy constitutes a clear benefit for children. However, the research on this topic is still in its infancy and the literature is still relatively limited. The thesis deals with the interactions of a child and a dog, especially in the case of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), specific learning disorders (SPU), and autistic spectrum disorders (PAS). The general conclusion of the existing literature is that animal assisted therapy with the dog helps children with ADHD improve their fine motor skills, increases their attention, decreases aggressiveness, and helps to improve speech disorders. But it is not clear what the impact on other types of disorders is. This thesis first focuses on reviewing the existing literature and its main results that mostly confirm the positive influence of involving the dog in therapy by all observed disorders. The second part of the thesis deals with experimental verification of the hypothesis of a positive influence the dog´s presence and the targeted work of 8 children in the age of 7-9 years from a special school has on attention and behavior in the classroom. Four of the children were diagnosed with ADHD, two with SPU, and two with an autistic spectrum disorder. The experiment was carried out two times a week, and focused on observing the extent of children´s concentration on the given task, calming down, attention while solving the assignments, and reduction of negative physical contacts among observed subjects. The data collection took place during regular classes. Once in a week, the class was preceded by the animal assisted therapy with the dog, which formed the treatment group. The second session in the week was not preceded by any therapy to establish the control group for the experiment. The results verify our hypothesis by revealing the strengthening of the positive influence of teaching on the observed skills of the children. The positive influence of the dog is supported by the fact that the children achieved more success in its presence. However, further research on larger samples and children from other age categories is needed.

This diploma thesis is primarily focused on the issue of voters' behaviour in the city of Ceske Budejovice. The main goal of the thesis is the synchronic and diachronic comparative analysis of the election preferences of political parties standing in an election in the municipality. Three types of the elections are compared: the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, the elections to the regional councils in the Czech Republic and the municipal elections. The next primary goal is to analyse whether the breaking points in the parliamentary party system from the years 2010 and 2013 were reflected in the preferences of the electors in the city of Ceske Budejovice, and whether the local party system followed them as well. The secondary objective lies in the comparison of aggregated preferences at the state and regional level with the behaviour of residents of Ceske Budejovice. This comparison is done for the particular political parties in all analysed types of elections. The diploma thesis consists of two main parts, which are the theoretical part and the analytical part. The theoretical part is focused on the general principles of the electoral process as well as three mentioned types of elections. Furthermore, there is a description of the parliamentary, regional and local party system development in the Czech Republic. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the theory of the voting behaviour at large and the factors that might influence it as well. The analytical part of the thesis is split into chapters according to the sorts of the research elections.
