Qualidade estética e policromia de centros históricosNaoumova, Natalia January 2009 (has links)
In this study, a perception of a set of buildings in historical centers was studied based on approach of the Environmental Perception. For this purpose, four cities of the Rio Grande do Sul state of Brazil were selected - Pelotas, Piratini, Jaguarão and Bagé -, which contain representative sets of the heritage buildings of the three styles (colonial, eclectic and pre-modern). To create the basis for the color study, the concept of the chromatic typology of historical style was defined and used to identify the models with specific chromatic attributes (corresponding to the schemes of historic and non-historic colors) that represented the main object of the investigation. The three groups of stylistic models were presented for evaluation by respondents, residents of the above four cities, familiar and unfamiliar with the specific stylistic contexts. At the first stage of the research, respondents' evaluations of historical buildings were analyzed, and then, at the second stage, their evaluations of chromatic models were treated. The following suppositions were worked out: (i) the perception of esthetic quality of the urban environment is related to the color perception, and (ii) the polychromy is a relevant feature for evaluation of the stylistic buildings in the historical centers. The obtained results allowed us to reach the conclusions about the importance of polychromy for esthetic quality of the historical environments. The polychromy significance was verified through formal and symbolic variables related to chromatic models of different styles. In particular, the following chromatic characteristics - chromatic component, structure type and complexity of color composition - were specified to differentiate the model attributes, which provide a positive evaluation and, in this way, contribute to formation of esthetically qualified environments in historical areas. This research made available a theoretical and methodological basis for study of colors in historical environments involving the use of the esthetic approach adopted in the Environmental Perception, which could be useful as reinforcement for analysis of the esthetic potential of an historical center, emphasizing the formal and symbolic aspects through the chromatic one. This contribution could be helpful for developing the directives and propositions of chromatic intervention in the urban historical sites.

PROCESSAMENTO DIGITAL DE FOTOGRAFIAS A CURTA DISTÂNCIA, NA DIFERENCIAÇÃO QUANTITATIVA DE MANCHAS DE PELEAntoniazzi, Rodrigo Luiz 17 July 2010 (has links)
The skin cancer is the abnormal and uncontrolled growth of the cells that compose the skin, disposing in formats different from borders, colors, sizes and symmetry creating different types. In general lines, the forms of the stains are geometrically irregular. As many forms in the nature cannot be explained in the molds of the conventional geometry, scientists developed the geometry fractal to classify certain objects that don't possess dimension whole, but fractional. The dimension fractal can characterize group or object, for the first it is the number that informs us how densely the group it occupies the metric space where he meets and for the second, the irregularity of your contour. The illustrations can be also differentiated through the index of compactness, in the index of variation of colors and your way through the first idiosyncrasy of the ellipse. This group of parameters was applied for the differentiation of skin stains. In this work grew a software to esteem the dimension fractal of skin stains (benign and malignant) using the called method Box Counting for the estimate of the dimension fractal, the index of variation of colors to quantify the number of colors of the stain, the index of compactness to evaluate the existent relationship between the area of the illustration and the area of the circle with same perimeter of the illustration and the first idiosyncrasy of the ellipse for comparison with a circumference. The parameter that allowed to differentiate the skin stains was the dimension fractal.

Previous issue date: 2015-06-26 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / This paper presents a proposal for relationship studies between mathematics and
music, a relationship that has been established since the dawn of humanity, and could
be seen more clearly from the studies developed by Pythagoras. We approach the
evolution of music in the historical context and introduce the basics of music theory,
essential to establishing relationships with mathematics. Our e orts were focused on
instruments with strings, by which present a relationship between a musical scale,
called Chromatic and geometric progressions; also we present a relationship between
musical intervals and right triangles. We present a mathematical relationship between
music and colors, through their respective frequencies of sound and light. Also we
address the present mathematics in the construction of some instruments with strings,
via Golden Proportion, and nished the work presented some proposals for activities
that can be worked in the classroom, aimed at high school students.
relação entre uma escala musical, denominada Cromática, e as progressões geométricas;

Identifying the Factors That Influence Conflict Management Behavior of Human Resource Professionals in the Workplace: An Analysis of the Relationship Between Personality and Conflict Management BehaviorShapiro, Gail Joyce 01 January 2014 (has links)
Effective conflict management in the workplace can reduce the negative consequences of conflict. These negative outcomes can include low productivity, health-related stress, increased employee turnover, or litigation. A Human Resource (HR) professional can help mitigate these negative outcomes in the workplace when using effective conflict management behavior with employees. However, there is a void in research pertaining to HR professionals’ use of conflict management behavior.
This quantitative, correlational research study examined whether personality has an impact on assertive or cooperative conflict management behavior of HR professionals in the workplace. Statistical testing found a significant relationship between the harmonious, people-person (a Blue personality in the True Colors personality model) and the assertive conflict management behavior. Another finding of this study sheds light on the need for conflict resolution (CR) education and training in the HR field. The majority of HR professionals in this study said “yes” to wanting and needing training and education in the CR skillset. This skillset includes many of the same specific strategies that are used by mediators (reflective listening, reframing, building rapport, step-by-step problem-solving, etc.). These skills would also enable HR professionals to manage and resolve interpersonal employee conflict before it escalates and leads to negative outcomes.

Detekce ochranných pomůcek v obrazovém signálu / Detection of security aids in image signalBurdík, Vojtěch January 2014 (has links)
This work is devoted to the relatively new field of computer – computer vision. It focuses on the recognition of people, positioning and colour detection of clothing placed on person. The aim is to build an algorithm that would be able to locate the person in the picture and would make colours tests of clothing and helmets. For image processing were used OpenCV library functions and from algorithms was compiled program solving this problem. The output of the program is the answer, what colour is person at stated locations wearing, and if clothing and helmet are the same colour, the person is evaluated as properly dressed. The resulting program is then disassembled and parts of the code are in detail described in this work. There is explained how to use correctly each OpenCV function used in program.

Město nemusí být bludiště. Výtvarný projekt pro 1. stupeň ZŠ / City does not have to be a labyrinth. Art project for first schoolSmetanová, Martina January 2011 (has links)
Martina Smetanová Teaching for elementary school Dissertation Abstract The dissertation is regarding the use of art education in the education of children in elementary schools. In the theoretical part of the dissertation, there are described various psychological aspects, which have an influence on the development on the children's personality, e.g. creativity, intelligence, cooperation, sample schemes, mental mapping, attention, … The practical part consists of ten art themes within one common project "City does not have to be a labyrinth". (City from a bird's eye-view, Plastic city, City paving, Modern building, Traffic intersections, City plan, We are building a city, Travelling using a bus or tram, House sign, Mystical city). I realized this project on elementary school called ZŠ Fryčovická in Prague 9 - Letňany, in third, fourth and fifth grade. During the work with children, I tried to use the knowledge I got from the theoretical part. The aim was to give the children an idea about city, in which they are living and also to focus on the experiences, cooperation with other pupil, experiences with new art techniques, connection with other subjects, evaluation, development of fantasy, etc. The dissertation shows how we, within an art education, can develop skills and abilities, which can be then used in...
