CARACTERIZAÇÃO FLORÍSTICA, DIVERSIDADE E CORRELAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NA FLORESTA NACIONAL DE SÃO FRANCISCO DE PAULA, RS / FLORISTIC CHARACTERIZATION, DIVERSITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CORRELATION IN THE NATIONAL FOREST OF SÃO FRANCISCO DE PAULA, RSKanieski, Maria Raquel 18 January 2010 (has links)
Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / Populations and species are disappearing due to disturbances in the environment caused by human activities. Given the obvious risk of loss of diversity, it is increasingly necessary to take actions concerning preservation, in which safety features are necessary for measuring the variation of diversity in space and time. The
aim of this study was to evaluate the structure and diversity in the arboreal component and natural regeneration in an area of Araucaria forest in the National
Forest of São Francisco de Paula, RS. The vegetation sampling was performed by analyzing 180 subunits of 10m x 10m, where all the arboreal individuals and natural
regeneration were inventoried. The parameters of frequency and density, dispersion indexes of MacGuinnes, Fracker and Brischle and Payandeh, and different alpha and beta indexes of diversity were calculated. The values of alpha indices were correlated with environmental variables by Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA). It was found 102 species, distributed in 66 genera and 36 families. The
dispersion indexes showed different patterns for the arboreal component and natural regeneration. The Margalef, Shannon, and the Beta indexes were underestimated,
possibly influenced by the size of sample unit. Index Menhinick represented the diversity in a very real form, even in small sampling units. The indexes of Simpson
and Mcintosh denote low dominance and the equity indexes showed high uniformity in species. The CCA showed that diversity is strongly related to declive, stoniness
and contents of sand and clay, in the arboreal component, and contents of clay, fine sand and silt, in natural regeneration.

Année 1841 / Juliette Drouet’s letters to Victor Hugo, edition and study for the year 1841Sifferlen, Gwenaelle 13 January 2017 (has links)
Julienne Gauvain, alias Juliette Drouet, is mainly well-known for her fifty-year relationship with Victor Hugo. But first and foremost, she was a lavish letter writer who wrote more than 22,000 letters to her dear poet – calling them her ‘restitus’- from 1833 until she died in 1883. They were safely kept by her lover, who entrusted them to Louis Koch – Juliette Drouet’s nephew – after she died. Today, they are gradually published online so as to provide the general public, as well as researchers, with this complete astounding correspondence. The critical and scientific edition – including transcriptions, scholar and manuscript-related annotations, explanatory notes, index, glossary – of 568 letters dating from 1841 (8th anniversary of the couple’s love story) highlights their biographical, documentary and literary interests. Indeed these ‘restitus’ allow a day-to-day study of the life of Juliette Drouet, who had just withdrawn from theatrical and public life in order to fully devote herself to her love, and of Victor Hugo who, freshly elected to the Académie française on January 7th and in the process of writing Le Rhin, had to face literary and family trials, started taking his first notes on the present times and was supervising the revivals of Hernani, Ruy Blas and Angelo, tyran de Padoue. These letters also account for an accurate testimony on the status of women, the sentimental ties, the customs and all sorts of small details of the 19th century daily life. As well, they supply precious information concerning the historical, political, medical, scientific, social and artistic context of the July Monarchy and the reign of Louis-Philippe. Finally, apart from its own stylistic and literary value, this true mass of text arouses a generic reflection given its hybrid status of epistolary diary.

Studium a korespondence kněžského dorostu Jednoty bratrské v letech 1610-1618 / Studies and Correspondence of the priests-to-be of the Bohemian Brethren in 1610-1618Růčková, Markéta January 2015 (has links)
Studies and Correspondence of the priests-to-be of the Bohemian Brethren in 1610-1618 Markéta Růčková Two wooden boxes were found during the reconstruction of the former Minorite monastery Na Karmeli at Mladá Boleslav in 2006. The boxes concealed the so-called Archives of Matouš Konečný. The Archives contained documents that originated in the office of, or were addressed to, one of the four bishops of the Bohemian Brethren, Matouš Konečný (1569-1622), whose seat was at Mladá Boleslav. A significant part of the discovery consists of correspondence addressed to Bishop Konečný. A substantial part of the correspondence are documents related to the dispatch of young aspiring Brethren priests for study at educational institutions abroad. Along with letters of the students themselves, sent from Bremen and Beuthen an der Oder (Bytom Odrzański in Poland), where the young men attended academic grammar schools (gymnasia illustria), the boxes contain the students' pledges and accounts of their expenditures. The students' reports are supplemented with the correspondence of their teachers. The collection of letters from students and teachers as well as other documents being thus thematically delimited, our principal objective was to perform an analysis of their content and to prepare an edition of the documents....

"Ci sono così pochi buoni amici..." Il carteggio tra Mary McCarthy e Nicola Chiaromonte (1946 - 1971) / 'THERE ARE SO FEW TRUE FRIENDS...' IL CARTEGGIO TRA MARY McCARTHY E NICOLA CHIAROMONTE / "There are so few true friends" The correspondence between Mary McCarthy and Nicola Chiaromonte (1946 - 1971)SAVOLDI, ALESSANDRA 21 February 2020 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the correspondence between the writer, literary critic and American political activist Mary McCarthy and the Italian essayist and theater critic Nicola Chiaromonte: an epistolary exchange, their, still unpublished despite the growing number of publications concerning the two authors. The correspondence maintained with close friends is to be considered a fundamental element to shed light on the most intimate aspects of Mary McCarthy's life and artistic creation: in particular, this correspondence reveals the author's more human and personal side (rarely shown in public) and the devotion and respect he felt towards the one he considered as her mentor, critic and friend. The same feelings are reflected in the words of Nicola Chiaromonte, so austere and measured in his work as playful and passionate with his closest friends.
The thesis consists of two main parts. The brief general introduction is followed by a first part of historical-narrative nature, in which the biographies of Mary McCarthy and Nicola Chiaromonte alternate up to the fundamental moment of their meeting, starting from which their experiences are intertwined in the events who saw them involved. The second part of the thesis is instead the actual correspondence: 115 among letters, telegrams and tickets, supplied with critical notes in order to allow a better understanding.
