The first one (Study 1) aimed at investigating psychology school books directed to teachers. The objective was analyzing whether the teaching proposals of radical behaviorism were precisely described in the books, and what kind of behavior analysts bibliographical production was used as the basis for the teaching descriptions. Three books were analyzed. Each book was analyzed as regards three aspects: references to Skinner s works, references to the works of other behavior analysts and the descriptive texts about the radical behaviorism approach s on teaching. All kinds of references were analyzed direct and/or indirect quotes and/or final bibliographies. It was observed that the three books had at least one reference to works by behavior analysts. When it was observed the largest number of references to behavior analysts works, there was also a sounder and more up to date theoretical-conceptual description about the radical behaviorism approach. Two books used a small number of references, when compared to the number of references used in the description of other approaches, which indicates little familiarity with the works of behavior analysts. The analysis of the radical behaviorism s approach on teaching has considered five dimensions about skinnerian approach on the subject (what is to teach?, the teacher s role, how to teach, what to teach), and also critics on the skinnerian approach. It was found that being an expert on the approach could be related to producing more complete descriptions as well as exploring the inter-relationships between the different subject matters worked upon. The Study 2 was proposed in order to identify criteria for publishing books as well as understanding the reasons behind the imprecisions. In order to identify the criteria, this Study was based upon the literature, in the criteria for the evaluation of graduate programs, in interviews with professionals involved in books editoring, and with the authors of the books analyzed on Study 1. It was possible to systematize eight criteria for school books' evaluation: the work as the product of graduate programs; the book as a product of inter-institutionality; the peer evaluation; the author s compromise with the discussion and reformulation asked by the evaluator; the potential impact; the novelty in the field; conceptual precision; applicability of the skinnerian concepts in the learning situation. In order to apply the criteria, two of the books cited on Study 1 were selected, and their authors were interviewed. The book 1 has complied five of the criteria, and the book 2 has complied two of them. The main criterion that was identified was the theoretical-conceptual precision. Given the imprecisions cited in the Study 1, it can be concluded that some of these books and their responsibles have not considered the most fundamental aspect to publishing a book. It is discussed some actions that could revert this negligence with the description of the approach / O presente trabalho realizou dois estudos.

Key Criteria in Project Evaluation : A study of New Service Development

Nguyen, Cam Nhung, Shtembari, Eriona January 2009 (has links)

Project evaluation is concerned with indicators setting and performance tracking along the life of a project. It plays an essential role to the success of any project and therefore demands special attention. At the heart of this process lies a system of criteria one has to take into account when performing the evaluation. Our thesis considers this problem in a particular context, namely New Service Development (NSD) projects. The topic is of our interest because innovation (hence NSD) has become an inherent aspect of service industry while the research dedicated to NSD project evaluation is rather limited. Our thesis aims at understanding the purposes, the process of evaluating NSD projects and pointing out specific criteria included during the evaluation of NSD projects. As a result, the research question pursuing is: ‘What are key Evaluation Criteria for New Service Development projects?’ From the literature review on project evaluation and new service development, our study reveals a list of eight important criteria of evaluation. This consists of three financial criteria: (1) profitability, (2) production cost, (3) return on investment; and five non-financial criteria: (4) strategic fit, (5) marketing criteria, (6) corporate social responsibilities, (7) information quality, and (8) facilitating factors. From empirical perspective, qualitative approach is applied to collect data through three case studies and a series of semi-structured interviews with seventeen respondents in Albania, Italy, Sweden and Vietnam, from companies offering various types of service. The case studies build comprehensive understanding on the process of new service development, of project evaluation for NSD whereas interviews check the transferability of the three cases and identify evaluation criteria employed in practice. The empirical results were analyzed in comparison with the arguments found from literature. Regarding the research question, the study found that the set of evaluation criteria collected from empirical study fits with the list of eight criteria proposed by literature. Among this set, two main criteria ‘strategic fit’ (4) and ‘customer satisfaction’ which is apart of ‘marketing criteria’ (5) are recommended as ‘must’ for the evaluation process on any type of NSD project. Findings of this research contribute to the existing knowledge provided by both academic and practitioners regarding both project management field and new service development area, by suggesting a set of key criteria that should be used as guidance in order to succeed with evaluation of NSD projects.

Hodnocení ředitelů škol zřizovateli / Assessment of headmasters by school founders

Vodrážková, Eva January 2015 (has links)
My diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of headmasters by their school founders. It deals mainly with identifying the ways of evaluation, defining evaluation criteria and the overall approach to the assessment of the quality of headmasters' work. The aim is to create for a school founder an overview of the most commonly used forms of evaluation of headmasters. My work seeks to identify and compare different approaches to evaluation of headmasters by different school founders in the Prague region. My goal is to map and compare which criteria are considered to be crucial in evaluation of headmasters. Firstly, I would like to determine whether school founders have determined criteria for assessment of headmasters; secondly whether these criteria are familiar to headmasters, or whether they are possibly published. Next, I would like to present the schedule in which evaluation of headmasters is carried out and which forms of assessment are considered as motivational. The theoretical part of the work is focused on defining and describing basic concepts which are directly related to the issue regarding evaluation of headmasters. This part of the work is dedicated to theoretical pieces of knowledge concerning methods and possibilities of evaluation, its types, forms and tools. Furthermore, it...
