Security in Digital Home Visits

Uhlán, Christian January 2019 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to study security for digital home visits, where traditional home visits are replaced by digital home visits using digital technology. The report examines the safety aspects for welfare technology solutions where data is collected from sensor systems and digital platforms and examines di↵erent Swedish laws that implies on a digital home visit. The study proposes an implementation of a prototype application to support users, relatives, and healthcare professionals to conduct digital home visits in a safe manner. The chosen scenario of the digital home visit was to check whether the person has eaten food during the day or not. This was done in a lab kitchen at Lule°a University of Technology with help of Z-wave sensors and a implemented systems. The result is displayed on a secure website. The solution is discussed and compared to other technical solutions of this problem and also to several Swedish laws. This paper finishes with a section aimed to provide a variety of recommendations when implementing a similar system.

Light-Weight Authentication and Key Exchange Protocols with Forward Secrecy for Digital Home

Chiang, Tsung-Pin 15 August 2007 (has links)
In this thesis we propose a complete solution of authentication and key exchange for digital home environments such that mobile devices can securely access the home devices. Some digital home authentication and key exchange protocols performed between mobile devices and home gateways are assisted by the AAA servers, which are provided by telecommunication companies, but they have some security flaws. In our proposed protocol, the necessary security requirements for digital home secu-rity mechanisms are satisfied, such as mutual authentication, authenticated key ex-change, and forward secrecy. In our digital home security scheme, a mobile device can authenticate his home gateway and exchange a session key with each home de-vice without pre-sharing keys with the home gateway and with the home device. The proposed authentication and key exchange protocol can also cooperate with the AAA server. Furthermore, we propose another authentication and key exchange protocol with forward secrecy between mobile devices and home devices. The computation capabilities of the mobile devices also are considered in our proposed protocols, where we only employ symmetric encryption/decryption and low-cost op-erations in order to reach the aim of light-weight computation cost.

Optimalizace elektrické spotřeby inteligentní digitální domácnosti / Optimization of electricity consumption in intelligent digital housholds

Gomola, Roman January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the optimization of power consumption in an intelligent digital home, where the appliances are powered either from a distribution network and also from the photovoltaic source owner. The optimization of consumption we will see both economically and in terms of load distribution network. Renewable power supply operates in a green bonus. Optimization is done using the backup system and the unit Home Manager by SMA. Backup system in collaboration with the batteries will store power from photovoltaic sources, if you're not consumed by appliances in the home. Since it may be a smart home, which is performed by means of inteligent wiring components and accessories (Inels system from the company ELKO EP), is possible thanks to intelligent multimedia extensions and appliances also optimizme consumption.

我國數位家庭發展策略探討

丁維揚, Ting, Wei-Yang Unknown Date (has links)
Involving in recent industry researches of digital home, the study has elaborated the development strategies of digital home industry in some advanced countries and manufacturers. The study tried to clear the digital home’s situation either from manufacturers’ or consumers’ opinions. Digital content providers, value-added service providers, ISP, and 3C manufacturers are seen as core roles in the development of digital home industry. However, who is the leader is not yet clear. In addition, the study showed that the popularization of FTTH, digital equipments with high integration, colorful digital contents, and all kinds of related digital applications should be designed from consumers’ concern are the key success factors in the digital home industry. Under the development trend of digital home industry, besides referencing related country strategies of America, Japan, and Korea, Taiwan government should take advantage of company’s superiorities well to help high-tech electronics companies find out their ways in the future. Furthermore, manufacturers in Taiwan should actively accumulate across-industry integrated experiences, and focus market on the Chinese people to develop all kinds of digital contents and service.

Hemautomation

Olofsson, Gustav, Kareliusson, Johan, Sandell, Christofer January 2013 (has links)
The problem this study intended to answer was why home automation is not used in more homes. The results of a survey that was distributed could conclude that the cost of existing solutions available on the market today is not within the price range our respondents considered reasonable. The authors then evolved the problem and asked themselves whether home automation really need such a high cost as the existing solutions today. To illustrate this problem, the authors implemented a cost-effective solution where respondents' most popular features were in regard. The result was a home automation solution with great potential and with a significantly lower cost than today's existing solutions.

Použití mobilního robotu v inteligentním domě / Mobile robot in smart house

Kuparowitz, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
Aim of this thesis is to search the market for suitable autonomous robot to be used by smart house. The research in this work is partly done on the range of abilities of smart houses in matter of sensor systems, ability of data processing and their use by mobile robots. The output of this thesis is robotics application written using Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio (C#) and simulated using Visual Simulation Environment. Main feature of this robotic application is the interface between robot and smart house, and robot and user. This interface enables employer to directly control robot's movement or to use automated pathfinding. The robot is able to navigate in dynamic environment and to register, interact and eventually forget temporary obstacles.
