[pt] A venda mundial de carros elétricos vem crescendo cerca de 60% ao ano, mostrando-se um dos principais movimentos disruptivos na indústria nos próximos anos. Postos de Recarga são, em conjunto com a queda no preço das baterias, os principais indutores dessa expansão. A implantação de uma rede de infraestrutura para recarga de carros elétricos possui flexibilidades que não são captadas pela análise econômica tradicional. Nesse trabalho, foi avaliado um projeto de infraestrutura de postos de recarga utilizando uma modelagem por opções reais, tendo como foco opções de expansão da infraestrutura existente. Os resultados encontrados sugerem que dependendo da volatilidade da variável de incerteza, a modelagem do projeto por Opções Reais, agrega valor quando comparado com o método tradicional. / [en] The worldwide sale of electric vehicles is growing about 60% a year, proving to be one of the major disruptive movements in the industry in the coming years. Charging stations are, together with the falling price of batteries, the main drivers of this expansion. The deployment of an infrastructure network to recharge electric vehicles has flexibilities that are not captured by the traditional economic analysis. In this work, an infrastructure project of charging stations was evaluated using a real option approach, focusing on options for expanding the existing infrastructure. The results suggest that depending on the volatility of the uncertainty variable, the project modeling by Real Options adds value to it when compared to the traditional method.

The diploma work was focused on determining the situation with training of educational workers involved in logopaedic care among children of preschool age, what cooperation is like with professional institutions in this area, what teaching methods preschool educators use in work with children and what kind of care kindergartens provide in relation to the development of speech skills. Professional literature relating to psychomotoric development of children of preschool age was analysed, along with communication, communication skills, speech development in children of preschool age and disruption of communication skills in children of preschool age. Legislation relating to education in kindergartens and logopaedic intervention in the Czech Republic was also examined. Disc1 Mutant Mice Subjected to Chronic Social Defeat Stress as a Model of Gene-Environment Interaction in Schizophrenia and DepressionHaque, F. Nipa 25 January 2010 (has links)
Human genetic data suggests DISC1 (Disrupted-in-schizophrenia 1) is a susceptibility gene for schizophrenia and depression. Disc1 Q31L-/- mutants show depression-like behaviour and Disc1 L100P-/- mutants schizophrenia-like behaviour. Heterozygous mutants show an intermediate phenotype. In a gene-environment interaction study, we exposed heterozygotes to chronic social defeat (CSD) stress and phenotyped behaviour. Disc1, Bdnf(III) and Pde4b mRNA levels were also measured. Moreover, as epigenetic mechanisms may mediate some effects of CSD, we also exposed wildtype mice to CSD concurrently with the histone deacetylase inhibitor valproate. We found that CSD increased anxiety in L100P-/+ mutants, and that levels of Disc1, Bdnf(III) and Pde4b mRNA were higher in this mutant. Valproate treatment did not correct CSD-induced behavioural changes. In conclusion, we have demonstrated an interaction between a strong susceptibility gene for psychiatric disease and an environmental manipulation similar to stressors known to affect mental illness.

Microstructural and Micro-Mechanical Characterization of As-built and Heat-treated samples of HASTELLOY X produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion ProcessSanni, Onimisi January 2022 (has links)
Microstructure and micro-mechanical characterization of as-built and heat-treated samples of Hastelloy X produced by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process has been carried out in this study. As-built LPBF blocks were solution heat-treated at 1177°C and 1220°C followed by fast cooling. The microstructure of as-built and heat-treated samples were studied by light optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and electron backscatter diffraction. Instrumented indentation micro Vickers testing was performed to obtain microhardness and elastic modulus of asbuilt and heat-treated samples. Microtensile samples from as-built and heat-treated blocks were prepared and polished for mechanical characterization. Microtensile testing inside the scanning electron microscope was performed to evaluate the mechanical properties and to get information about the microstructural changes during plastic deformation. Microstructure characterization revealed disrupted epitaxial grain growth for the as-built samples whereas the two heated-treated Hastelloy X samples exhibited equiaxed grains with varying twin fractions. As-built Hastelloy X samples exhibited higher mean hardness than heat-treated samples. The yield strength of as-built samples reveals higher values as compared to conventional wrought Hastelloy X samples, whereas lower yield strength and higher elongation were observed for heat-treated samples as compared to as-built samples. Higher elongation and lower yield strength values were observed for the samples solution heat-treated at 1220°C compared to the solution heat-treated at 1177°C. Microstructural evaluation at different plastic strains during in-situ microtensile testing reveals a clear difference in dislocation density for as-built and heat-treated samples.

This study was undertaken to determine whether a disrupted family life and school climate has an impact on the self-concept of the adolescent. This problem was tackled and investigated from different angles : factors
within the home, factors outside the home, intrapsychic factors, interpersonal factors and school factors. An analysis of the above factors and their impact on the self-concept of the adolescent was done by means of measuring instruments in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the empirical research indicated that the more positive the family and school climate, the more positive the academic, social and emotional self-concept of the adolescent. The educational implications of the findings of the literature and the empirical study are discussed to assist teachers and parents to identify and eliminate factors that cause adolescents from disrupted families to underachieve and have negative self-concepts. / M.Ed.
