Studium rekombinace iontů s elektrony při teplotách nižších než 300 K / Electron-Ion Recombination at Temperatures below 300K

Kotrík, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
Title: Recombination study of ions with electrons at temperatures below 300 K Author: Tomáš Kotrík Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: Prof. RNDr. Juraj Glosík, DrSc. Department of Surface and Plasma Science Abstract: Presented is the study of recombination of ions with electrons performed at low temperatures using the Flowing afterglow with Langmuir probe experimental technique. Studied was the dissociative recombination of H and D ions at temperatures 77 - 300 K. Apart from a two-body also a three-body recombination channel assisted by neutral He atoms was identified and studied. The obtained temperature dependence of the two-body recombination rate coefficient is in a good agreement with findings of other experimental and theoretical works. The dissociative recombination of HCO and DCO ions with electrons was studied in the temperature range 150 - 300 K. The observed temperature dependence of measured recombination rate coefficient for HCO and DCO ions (~T -1.3 and ~T -1.1 , respectively) is in agreement with the majority of previous experimental works and evokes that indirect mechanism governs the recombination process. The electron- assisted collisional-radiative recombination of Ar ions was for the first time studied at temperatures 50 - 300 K. The...

Rekombinace iónov v plazme pri 50 - 300 K / Recombination of ions in plasma at 50-300 K

Rubovič, Peter January 2014 (has links)
A B S T R A C T Title: Recombination of Ions in Plasma at 50 − 300 K Author: Peter Rubovič Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Juraj Glosík, DrSc. Abstract: Main part of this doctoral thesis lies in a study of recom- bination of atomic and molecular ions in low temperature plasmatic environment with emphasis on effect of third bodies. Stationary After- glow equipped with Cavity Ring Down Spectrometer and Cryogenic Flowing Afterglow with Langmuir Probe II were used to obtain recom- bination rate coefficients. Electron assisted collisional radiative recom- bination of Ar+ ion was studied in the temperature range of 50−100 K and helium assisted collisional radiative recombination was observed too. Both H+ 3 and its isotopologue D+ 3 were studies in flowing after- glow and spectroscopically in stationary afterglow as well. Binary re- combination rate coefficients and ternary recombination rate coeffi- cients for helium assisted ternary recombination were determined in the temperature range of 50 − 250 K. These coefficients were deter- mined also for pure ortho- and para- nuclear spin configurations of H+ 3 in the temperature range of 80 − 200 K. Keywords: dissociative recombination, collisional radiative recombi- nation, H+ 3 , D+ 3 , Ar+ viii

Une approche intégrative en psychothérapie EMDR du trauma complexe et des troubles dissociatifs auprès des adultes / An Integrative Approach about EMDR Psychotherapy for Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorder in Adults

Dellucci, Hélène 14 November 2016 (has links)
This thesis tells a journey of a clinician, with back and forth between a psychotherapeutic practice and conceptual thinking, trying to move towards an integrative approach for addressing complex situations in psychotraumatology. Guided by the desire to learn, but also examining field practice, we have expanded, step by step, our psychotraumatologic approach, coming to a proposal of an integrative and original treatment model. We hope this model may allow clinicians to adapt to the complex reality of complex and chronic traumatized persons, without getting lost. The presentation of different publications and clinical cases illustrate this line of thought and practices in order to achieve a rigorous model that can be subjected to scientific testing as well as put to the proof of the psychotherapy field.

However, there are few studies in donkeys (Equus asinus). The aim of this research was evaluate and compare the cardiorespiratory, metabolic and electrocardiographic effects of ketamine-propofol (KP) and ketamine-xilazine-EGG (GKX) total intravenous anesthesia in donkeys. Eight healthy adult donkeys were anesthetized twice with seven days interval between protocols. In both protocols, the animals were premedicated with 1.0 mg/kg of xylazine. The protocol KP was induced with 1.5 mg/kg of ketamine and a loading dose of propofol (0.5 mg/kg). The animals were maintained in constant rate infusion of ketamine (0.05 mg/kg/min) and propofol (0.15 mg/kg/min) during one hour. In GKX protocol, the animals were induced with diazepam (0.05 mg/kg) and ketamine (2.2 mg/kg). So, the animals were maintained in constant rate infusion (2 ml/kg/h) of a solution prepared with an association of 5% guaifenesin (100 mg/kg), ketamine (2.0 mg/ml) and xylazine (0.5 mg/ml). The quality of induction and recovery were assessed using scores (1-good; 2-regular; 3-poor) and measured cardiorespiratory, metabolic and electrocardiographic parameters before, during and after the anesthetic procedure. The results showed that the ketamine-propofol and ketamine-xylazine-EGG associations were satisfactory to anesthetized the donkeys, whereas seven anesthetic inductions were classified as good (score 1) in both protocols. The heart rate was statistic different between protocols since 15M moment. The mean arterial pressure decreased during the procedure in KP and GKX. There were no statistic differences between protocols in PaO2, PaCO2, LACv e LACa. The arterial glucose showed higher elevation in GKX and statistic difference at recovery. There were no statistic differences regarding CK and AST serum values. Concerning the electrocardiographic assessment, the protocols did not result in abnormalities on the length and amplitude of waves and complexes that could compromise the cardiac dynamics. In conclusion, propofol-ketamine and ketamine-xylazine-EGG associations can be successfully employed in asinines for the accomplishment of procedures without painful stimuli. The cardiorespiratory, metabolic and electrocardiographic changes observed in the present study were not sufficient to cause systemic distress in healthy animals / A anestesia intravenosa total tem recebido maior destaque que a anestesia inalatória com base nos resultados cardiorrespiratórios e econômicos de diversos estudos em eqüinos.

Dissociative identity disorder: Integration versus non-integration

Strande, Kris Jane 01 January 2000 (has links)
For the mental health professional, the client with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) can be exciting, exhausting and frustrating. Formal education offers little help in treatment and diagnosis of this disorder. This paper will explore the most utilized treatment goals available to the professional and the client. Although most "experts" in the field of Dissociative Disorders subscribe to the treatment goal of integration, this study challenges that idea. As the results of the study indicate, integration was not the most utilized goal of treatment among the participants of this study.

A Theoretical Study of Elementary Processes in Interstellar Plasma

Forer, Joshua 01 January 2023 (has links) (PDF)
Interstellar plasma — interstellar clouds in particular — play an important role in determining the structure and evolution of galaxies. Understanding the time evolution of such plasmas requires knowledge of the chemical processes that drive their dynamics. Two processes are studied in this dissertation: radiative electron attachment (REA) via dipole-bound states (DBSs) and dissociative recombination (DR). Of the several hundred molecules detected in the interstellar medium, only eight anions have been detected: CN-, C3N-, C5N-, C7N-, C4H-, C6H-, C8H-, and C10H-. Their production mechanism is not well known; REA was suggested as a possible formation pathway, but previous theoretical studies have found that REA rate coefficients were too low to explain the formation of CN-, C3N-, and C5N-. It was later suggested that including DBSs — an electron weakly bound at a large distance to the large dipole moment of a neutral molecule — could appreciably enhance the REA rate coefficients. The first portion of this study is dedicated to investigating the role of the large dipole moment of rotating C3N using an accurate \it ab initio approach with electronic and rotational resolution. DBS wavefunctions of C3N- are calculated and used to obtain REA cross sections that produce even smaller rate coefficients, suggesting that C3N- is efficiently formed by a different process. The second part of this study investigates DR in the difficult case of molecules with low-lying eletronic resonances, although these are not necessary for the approach. An approach to treat both direct and indirect mechanisms of DR in a diatomic ion with electronic, vibrational, and rotational resolution using R-matrix scattering calculations, frame transformation theory, and multichannel quantum defect theory is presented and applied to the CH+ and CF+ molecular ions at low collision energies. The calculated CH+ cross sections agree well with recent rotationally state-resolved experimental results and overall better than previous theoretical results. The calculated CF+ cross sections agree well with experimental results, although these do not have rotational resolution, and overall better than previous theoretical results at low energies. Additionally, the method can study rovibronic (de-)excitation — a process in competition with DR. These are calculated and compared to previous theoretical calculations for CH+, which which our results agree well with the exception of dipole-driven rotational excitation cross sections. This discrepancy is tentatively attibuted to negelcting the contribution of higher partial waves in the description of the incident electron, which will be incorporated in future studies.

Paint With Your Pain : Dissociative Feminism and Art in Raven Leilani's Luster

Diös, Saga January 2024 (has links)
This text investigates the notion of dissociative feminism in the novel Luster by Raven Leilani. The protagonist of the novel, Edie, can be understood as a dissociative feminist using Xine Yao’s understanding of the unfeeling and Leslie Jamison's understanding of wounds. Edie as a dissociative feminist experiences detachment from her feelings and her life. She deals with this through art. Both looking to great works of art and creating her own. The text investigates how Edie understands herself through several great works of art including The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai, Judith Slaying Holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi, and Christina’s World by Andrew Wyeth. The text also explores how these artworks are connected to Edie’s own art. As well as the aim of her artistic pursuit. This is done through looking at John Dewey’s notion of Art as Experience as Edie is participating in it. The aim of her artistic pursuit ultimately is to find a way to reconnect to her emotions and to create a channel for healing from a traumatic past and present. Healing is approached through communion with other characters in the novel, most significantly with Rebecca. This is looked at through Bell Hook’s notion of healing.
