Lärplattformar möjliggör en effektiv och flexibel yta för läroverk där studenter och lärare kan mötas med varandra. Lärplattformar kan användas till administration, kommunikation och examinering. Användarens inställning och definition av plattformen har stor betydelse för plattformens handlingsutrymme. På plattformens dubbelsidiga marknad påverkar användarna andra användares upplevelse genom vilken funktionalitet och strategi dessa väljer att använda. Syftet med studien är att identifiera vilken roll lärplattformen Canvas har på Malmö Universitet. Vilket leder till frågeställningen: Hur kan lärplattformens roll förklaras utifrån lärares och studenters upplevelser? Genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys presenteras plattformens nätverkseffekter, karaktär och praktik. I slutsatsen presenteras det att organisationen är föränderlig i sin utformning, att både studenters och lärares engagemang är avgörande för att nå de positiva nätverkseffekterna samt att det sociala handlingsutrymmet är avgörande för plattformens användning och dess effekt i organisationen. / Learning Management Systems (LMS) enable an efficient and flexible area for educational institutions where students and teachers can meet and interact. LMS are used for administration, communication and examination. The user's attitude and definition of the platform is of great importance for what the experience of the platform ultimately becomes. In the platform's two-sided market, users influence the experience of other users through what functionality and strategy they choose to use. The purpose of the study is to identify the role the LMS Canvas has at Malmö University. Which leads to the question: How can the role of the LMS be explained on the basis of teachers and students' experiences? Qualitative content analysis presents the platform’s network effects, character and practice. In the conclusion, we present that the organization is able to change in its approach, that the involvement of both students and teachers is crucial to achieve the positive network effects and that the social scope is crucial for the use of the platform and its effect on the organization.
