The thesis deals with the problem of creating a business aim and planning of future business activities. The aim of the thesis is to create a good helping string for creating a well designed business programme from the theoretical point of view. The programme will be based on a personal concept as well as practice, take-over of Sportclub RAFK in Rajhrad.

This thesis deals with design of precautionary measures for Czech engineering companies to defend against the threat of potential economic downturn in China. Analytical part contains descriptions of individual industry sections, correlation analyses of selected indicators and history of international trade in between relevant countries. In the last chapter, the mathematical models with time series prediction, as well as the risk analysis and proposal of precautionary measures, are carried out.

The economic cost of a static design is nowadays very often the decisive factor during a tender. This work deals with the economic cost of designing the ceiling construction of a polyfunctional building. The work shows three design options regarding the second boundary condition. The decisive factor is the deflection under the masonry constructions. The deformation of the ceiling construction cannot be allowed to cause cracks in the masonry partitions. The aim of this work is the comparison of the economic cost of the possible design options.

The master’s thesis is focused on the possibility of using biodegradable materials (animal manure, energy crops, crop waste) in a biogas plant. The first part deals with the mechanism of production of biogas. Described are factors which affect the production of biogas, its composition, properties, utilization and potential substrates. The next chapter deals with the technologies of biogas plants. The main part of the thesis is devoted to a proposal of a specific biogas plant in the Slovak Republic in the Novozámocký district. Included is the processing of design proposal, selection of components and proposal of the layout of biogas plant. The economic evaluation includes quantifying capital and operating costs and profits from the sale of electricity and compost.

The aim of this thesis is to assess modes of transport and to choose the correct one with the possibility of compressing waste. Depending on key parameters which influence the final price, the most economical option is chosen. These variants are prepared for the following application in the software Neruda. It is necessary to evaluate the system of collection as a whole and to choose realistic and economical transport distances with transfer stations available.

This diploma thesis focuses on the Canary Islands special arrangements in taxation in the context of the international trade since the end of the 18th century, which were related to their unique physiographical and socio-economical conditions. Long- term calling of a local society for a taxation which could lead the islands from a deep economic crises of the first half of the 19th century and spreading the idea of liberalism in international trade, culminated in declaration of Puertos Francos in 1852. Granting of Puertos Francos led to closing of customs houses and abolition of some duties connected with the foreign exchange. Thanks to the new system of taxation, by the turn of the 18th and 19th century, the Canary Islands became an important junction of the international trade and attracted interest of colonial empires, which used the islands as a starting point of the trails to their overseas territories.

This diploma thesis investigates the sources of finance for Czech social enterprises. It comprises of two parts - the Theoretical Part and the Empirical Part. The Theoretical Part is divided into 5 chapters. In these chapters, I start by defining concepts that relate to social enterprises. Then, I explain theories of the establishment of social enterprises and two traditional approaches to this establishment, a European approach and an American approach. Finally, I focus primarily on funding possibilities for Czech social enterprises. The Empirical Part, consisting of 6 chapters, is a case study of two Czech social enterprises - (1) Ethnocatering, which is established by an unincorporated association InBáze, and (2) Rettigovky, operating under a charitable trust Komuniké. The aim of this diploma thesis is, first, to find out similarities and differences in the sources of finance between the two Czech social enterprises, which are established on the basis of two distinct traditional approaches, and, second, to ascertain which traditional approach is better for Czech conditions and why. The aim of this diploma thesis is to study how nonhuman agents are introduced and employed as a replacement for social reproduction by analyzing the environment and types of exchange practiced in the countryside of post-socialist Russia. The farm where my fieldwork took place exhibits many types of exchange, among which cryptocurrencies, seen as a socio- material algorithm, are used for the redistribution of essential goods and/or favors in a method similar to those used in former socialist and post-socialist economies. Drawing from the anthropological discussion on gift-commodity logic in the area, I look at cryptocurrencies as a hybrid - they hold the qualities of a gift (authority, name) and could be used to speculate with on the crypto stock-exchange (commodity). The thesis is devoted to the legislation of packaging, packaging management and packaging waste management. The subject of research is the european legislation (mainly directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste and directive 2008/98/EC on waste) and Czech legislation based on the european directives (mainly Act No. 477/2001 Coll., on packaging and Act No. 185/2001 Coll., on waste). This legal problematics is undergoing a significant evolution. Higher targets regarding minimisation of packaging waste and more ecologically acceptable ways of managing packaging waste required by european directive amendments and other new conceptual documents (most importantly A new Circular Economy Action Plan) are going to be reflected in the Czech legislation by a new act on packaging, which is being a subject of a legislation process....

The study sought to answer three research questions regarding the impact of the new oil sector on the economy of Ghana. The areas covered by these questions include: oil price developments and their impact on economic activities in Ghana, the overall productive impact of the oil sector on economic multipliers and linkages of other sectors of the economy as well as the impact of the sector on traditional agriculture, manufacturing and underground economic activities in Ghana. For the first research question on the impact of shocks to crude oil prices on economic activities, the study employed a Vector Error Correction model for the analysis. The modelled variables were GDP and crude oil prices. GDP was used as the measure of economic activities. Both variables were transformed into logarithmic form. The results show that Ghana as an oil exporting country and a net oil importer is affected by fluctuations in oil prices. It suggests that a one standard error shock to crude oil prices has a transitory and negative effect on GDP in Ghana after one year.
