Matoušek, Jan January 2012 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to create a business plan of a winery, evaluate its economic performance and present a valuation in order to offer a share of the company to the investor. The theoretical part covers mainly structure of the business plan, content of respective chapters, advantages and disadvantages of particular legal forms of companies and main economic indicators that are relevant for assessment of economic viability of the project. The practical part covers the actual set-up of the winery according to the business plan structure as well as a comprehensive financial plan. The economic viability and DCF valuation of the project is assessed based on this plan in order to offer a share of the company to the investor.

The Federal Judiciary and Establishment Clause Jurisprudence: Application of the Lemon Test since Mitchell v. Helms

Sanders, Russell Scott 05 1900 (has links)
The issue of religion and its place in society has been a topic of controversy and debate since long before the creation of our constitutional republic. The relationship between religion and government has witnessed some of its most intense conflicts when the governmental entity in question involves public education. As our country moved into the 20th century, legal challenges in the field of public education began to emerge calling into question the constitutionality of various policies and practices at both the state and local levels. This dissertation examined the legal methodology that was initially developed and then subsequently modified as the judicial branch has interpreted how the Establishment Clause delineates the relationship between religion and public education. Because the United States Supreme Court has not overturned its decision in Lemon v. Kurtzman, the tri-partite test it established still remains the law of the land. Subsequent decisions by the Court leading up to their ruling in Mitchell v. Helms, however, have continued to modify the judiciary's approach toward the use of the Lemon test in Establishment Clause jurisprudence. This research analyzed the decisions of the various federal courts subsequent to the ruling issued in Mitchell to discern both the present position of the federal judiciary as it relates to the continued validity of Lemon and theorizes how the future course of any Establishment Clause legal challenges may ultimately be resolved by the federal courts. The analysis suggested that, while the Supreme Court has avoided Lemon's three-part test as the standard for evaluating Establishment Clause claims, the lower courts continue to place a strong emphasis on the importance of the test established in Lemon as the basis for how they render their decisions with issues that involve public education. This data indicated that Lemon continues to be an important tool for determining the validity of state programs and policies involving federal questions related to the Establishment Clause.

Designing Robust Trust Establishment Models with a Generalized Architecture and a Cluster-Based Improvement Methodology

Templeton, Julian 18 August 2021 (has links)
In Multi-Agent Systems consisting of intelligent agents that interact with one another, where the agents are software entities which represent individuals or organizations, it is important for the agents to be equipped with trust evaluation models which allow the agents to evaluate the trustworthiness of other agents when dishonest agents may exist in an environment. Evaluating trust allows agents to find and select reliable interaction partners in an environment. Thus, the cost incurred by an agent for establishing trust in an environment can be compensated if this improved trustworthiness leads to an increased number of profitable transactions. Therefore, it is equally important to design effective trust establishment models which allow an agent to generate trust among other agents in an environment. This thesis focuses on providing improvements to the designs of existing and future trust establishment models. Robust trust establishment models, such as the Integrated Trust Establishment (ITE) model, may use dynamically updated variables to adjust the predicted importance of a task’s criteria for specific trustors. This thesis proposes a cluster-based approach to update these dynamic variables more accurately to achieve improved trust establishment performance. Rather than sharing these dynamic variables globally, a model can learn to adjust a trustee’s behaviours more accurately to trustor needs by storing the variables locally for each trustor and by updating groups of these variables together by using data from a corresponding group of similar trustors. This work also presents a generalized trust establishment model architecture to help models be easier to design and be more modular. This architecture introduces a new transaction-level preprocessing module to help improve a model’s performance and defines a trustor-level postprocessing module to encapsulate the designs of existing models. The preprocessing module allows a model to fine-tune the resources that an agent will provide during a transaction before it occurs. A trust establishment model, named the Generalized Trust Establishment Model (GTEM), is designed to showcase the benefits of using the preprocessing module. Simulated comparisons between a cluster-based version of ITE and ITE indicate that the cluster-based approach helps trustees better meet the expectations of trustors while minimizing the cost of doing so. Comparing GTEM to itself without the preprocessing module and to two existing models in simulated tests exhibits that the preprocessing module improves a trustee’s trustworthiness and better meets trustor desires at a faster rate than without using preprocessing.

Jureková, Petra January 2019 (has links)
This work deals with the issue of multicast communication, specifically it focuses on group key management. It discusses group key management protocols as well as existing algorithms and algorithm designs for efficient key management and distribution. Based on the knowledge, two solutions were developed. The application for comparing the efficiency of algorithms was created as well. Both existing and proposed schemes were compared using two scenarios. Based on the resulting graphs, the suitability of individual algorithms was evaluated.

Redundancy duration and business alteration - Consequences of establishment closures in Sweden

Magnergård, Cecilia January 2013 (has links)
This thesis follows and analyses what happens to individuals who work at establishments that are closed down. I examine if and when the displaced workers are re-employed. Furthermore, I examine to what extent individuals have moved, changed industry of work, have started to commute or have become self-employed. Additionally I examine, if the workers become selfemployed after displacement, how many of them that does so within the same industry of work as they initially got displaced from. A unique longitudinal matched employer-employee data incorporating all firms, establishments and their employees in Sweden between the years 1997-2008 is used. All individuals between 25 and 55 years of age at the time of displacement that were displaced between 2000 and 2003 due to establishment closures are followed over a five-year period of time. Consistent with previous empirical research, it is shown that an absolute majority of the workers that are displaced one given year also recovers within that same year. The results moreover express that the longer the displaced workers are out of employment, the larger is the willingness to change industry of work, change municipality of living or move into self-employment. The willingness to commute is however found to be fairly constant over time. Finally, I find that those who become self-employed to a greater extent start business in other industries than they were displaced from as time passes.

Från väst till öst : En kvalitativ studie av affärskulturella utmaningar vid etablering av svenska företag i Kina

Al-Zuhairi, Shahad, Khan, Maisa January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the business cultural challenges that arise when Swedish companies choose to enter the Chinese market. The study utilizes a qualitative approach, employing semi-structured interviews with five individuals who possess extensive experience working in China. The theoretical framework draws upon Hofstede's cultural dimensions and Trompenaar's seven dimensions to illustrate the cultural differences between Sweden and China. The findings of the study indicate that Swedish companies encounter numerous business cultural challenges. Recruiting employees, communication styles, and learning the social intricacies, including the Chinese language are among the various business cultural challenges faced by Swedish companies when establishing themselves in China.
