Avaliadores, notas e qualidade de pavimentos / Evaluators, scores and quality of pavements

Melo, Ricardo Almeida de 04 May 1998 (has links)
It was showed that the scores from drivers and passengers should be useful as input to evaluate the behavior of pavement surface during traffic of vehicles. Also, studying the history of the pavement surface evaluation it was recalled that the knowledge of such variables should contribute to identify relationships among the road user satisfaction and the distress of the pavement surface. And it was reported some conclusion obtained from statistical analysis to compare scores media attributed by evaluators to street segments of the city of Sao Carlos SP with standardized index trying to support conclusions to indicate that the evaluation processes done from evaluator\'s scores should conduct to pavement condition indexes closed to the culture on comfort and security of traffic from the users of the roadway.

Qualidade em serviços e programas de atividades físicas na visão de clientes, instrutores e gestores - construção e validação do instrumento SQFSbr / Quality of services and programs of physical activities in the view of clients, instructors and managers - SQFSbr instrument construction and validation

Mariano, Silvia Gonçalves 05 June 2017 (has links)
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of physical activity services offered to the population by public and private initiatives. Due to this perpetual increase, a constant evaluation of the quality of services remains necessary. There are instruments available in the literature that aim to assess quality, but a gap has been identified in regard to the views of the three groups of evaluators (clients, instructors and managers). Thus, the objective of this research was to construct an instrument to evaluate the quality of services and physical activity programs utilizing the responses of these 3 groups in order to understand their view regarding the quality. For this, a semantic adaptation of the SQSFp instrument and the content validation process were performed in two stages. In the first stage, a panel of 6 specialists evaluated the content, in terms of relevance and clarity of the items of the instrument. Percentage of concordance and content validity index (IVC) calculations were performed. The final instrument resulted in 30 items, distributed in 9 dimensions and was named SQFSbr. The second stage, the practical validation, was applying the instrument to clients, instructors and managers in order to verify the clarity and understanding of the same by the respondents, as well as to carry out a survey about the perception of the groups regarding the dimensions of quality. There was no mention from the evaluators on any lack of understanding or clarity regarding the items by the groups, reaffirming the validity of the SQFSbr instrument. It is suggested that future studies be carried out towards the application of the instrument among clients, instructors and managers all from the same program allowing a comparative evaluation between the visions

For PEAT's Sake: The Influence of Student-Led Evaluations on Small Nonprofits

Buttars, Rilee A. 26 June 2014 (has links)
Development evaluation is a booming business often seen as a development activity in its own right. Yet, not every actor in the field engages with evaluation. This is primarily due to inadequacies in time, data, resources and expertise. These challenges are prevalent among small nonprofits that arguably stand most in need to appraise their extensive efforts. In an accountability-focused environment, these organizations not only fail to assess adequately the impact of their work but also to evaluate reflectively their structure and implementation process. In response, the sociology and international studies departments at Brigham Young University set up an internship that trains students in evaluation techniques and then contracts their services to nonprofits that struggle to systematically evaluate their programs. Data collected from the student-evaluators and nonprofits showed that the evaluations influenced the organizations by helping the personnel learn, reflect on, discuss, and adjust their programs. In addition to finding evidence of the factors, mechanisms, and change processes that influence an evaluation's effect, this study extends the conceptual models within the influence literature by outlining the enabling role of students in contexts with high capacity constraints.

Exploring Evaluation in School Districts: School District Evaluators and Their Practice

Hibbard, Susan 31 December 2010 (has links)
This study explored the evaluation practices of internal evaluators in public school districts in a large southern state. The individuals who conduct evaluations in school districts as internal evaluators were identified and background information was collected. The education and training in evaluation was investigated and the types of evaluations typically conducted by those individuals. Respondents (n = 134) revealed conducting evaluations was a secondary role and part of their main job responsibilities. The types of evaluations carried out and the way in which evaluation was practices were revealed. A descriptive framework of the individuals who conduct evaluations in school districts and the ways those evaluations were carried out is presented. Six dimensions were used to summarize evaluation practice: Holistic, Mixed Method Decision Making, Procedures Valued, People Valued, Users Engaged/Embodied, Evaluator as Mediator. Three one-way MANOVAs were conducted to identify differences in evaluation practice. Differences in practice were found among evaluators based on the highest degree obtained, and area of highest degree held by respondents.

Prédiction du comportement d'une réparation structurale collée en escalier : application d'une méthodologie par évaluateurs technologiques / Prediction of the behavior of a primary step-lap bonded repair : application of a methodology with technical evaluators

Cerisier, Ambre 07 June 2017 (has links)
Bonded repair is an issue more and more brought to attention in the aeronautical industry due to the rise of composite materials in primary structures. If most studies in the literature are focused on bonded interface on small-sized coupons, this PhD dissertation intends to design a technological evaluator that represents issues due to their wide sizes, which would enable the study of the influence of several processes on the behavior of the bonded interface of a structural step-lap repair. In order to reach this goal, a major part of the work involved the setting up of a numerical strategy, light in CPU time and adapted to the study of a multi-step repaired structure, with representative dimensions. This numerical step is fed by upstream studies, done on coupons, and that lead us to find a mixed failure indicator of the adhesive film. Once the numerical choices validated, they were applied to find the design of a technological evaluator, as well as its loading kinematics, meant to place the latter in a representative industrial situation. They were both tested thanks to a multi axial test machine.
