Osídlování Karlovarska po odsunu Němců / Settlement of Karlovy Vary after the expulsion of the Germans

Slámová, Jana January 2021 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the Settlement of Karlovy Vary after the expulsion of the Germans. The work examines the period after the Second World War, when the German population was expelled in Czechoslovakia and subsequently settled by new inhabitants. The first part of the thesis examines the post-war situation and problems related to the settlement of the Czechoslovak border. Emphasis is placed on agricultural and industrial settlement with issued decrees. The second part of this thesis is devoted to the settlement of Karlovy Vary, which, despite all efforts, had serious problems with the lack of people interested in resettlement. The arrival of re-emigrants and minorities from foreign or neighboring states with Czechoslovakia is closely related to this issue, so this thesis will also address this topic.

Child-Directed Play and Teacher Education Related to Preschool Suspension and Expulsion

Scienza, Nicole 01 January 2019 (has links)
The amount of time that children spend in child-directed activity can increase the frequency and quality of teacher–child interactions, which can decrease challenging behavior in children. The problem is that preschool children are being expelled and suspended at a high rate, and additional research is required to examine the prevention of behaviors that lead to expulsion and suspension. The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine whether the percentage of the day that children spend in child-directed learning stations, the quality of activities offered during child-initiated time, and the education level of the lead teacher predict classroom suspensions or expulsions. The theoretical framework for the research involved Piaget’s child development theory and Vygotsky’s zone of proximal development. A quantitative method was used to examine the predictive relationship between the percentage of the day spent in child-initiated learning activities, the quality of the child-initiated activities offered, and the teacher qualifications in a classroom and the number of expulsions and suspensions in a child care program. A sample of 39 preschool classrooms licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services were selected for inclusion. A significant correlation between suspensions and expulsions indicated that the more programs suspend students, the more likely they were to expel students. A stepwise regression indicated that neither of the 2 independent variables was found to be a statistically significant predictor in the models for either suspension or expulsion. Further research is recommended with a larger sample. This study may lead to positive social change by informing stakeholders on ways to prevent challenging behaviors and informing future research on this topic.

Poválečné konfiskace na Liberecku v kontextu památkové péče / Post-war confiscation in the context of monument preservation

Pastorková, Šárka January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the fate of the confiscated monuments nationalized by presidential decrees (no. 12/1945 and No. 108/1945) in 1945 within the Liberec region. The first part analyzes the wider cultural and historical milieu of the region, especially phenomena related to the expulsion of Germans and the issue of postwar confiscation generally. It focuses on the actual effect of the decrees issued by President Benes and also on the process of the establishment of state institutions for administration of confiscated property. The following part of the work is dedicated to the system of national administration of confiscated property of high artistic value (especially objects which belonged to displaced families). This part of the thesis is based primarily on preserved documents of the state organizations operating with the confiscated property after World War II, such as the National Cultural Commission (stemming from the so called Reinsurance Commission), or the State Heritage Institute. These sources include various directives, transfer protocols, correspondence, etc. Overall, the aim of the thesis is to provide a detailed analysis of the process of systematical gathering and administration of a property seized from displaced persons in a particular region in Bohemia. Gränsutvisning : Vilka förkunskaper krävs vid gränsutvisning? - En fallstudie / Expulsion of property borders : What prerequisites are required at border expulsion? - A case study

Jansson, Hanna January 2020 (has links)
The study aims to investigate the knowledge a surveyor needs before border expulsion. The study contains a literature review addressing how property boundary are marked from a historical perspective. The aim is to highlight the difficulties that the surveyor may encounter working with border expulsion. This study is limited to four properties in one selected area in Värmland. The problem this study addressing is relevant because this service has been excluded from Lantmäteriet that oversees the cadastre system in Sweden. The result is a gap that need to be meet when many property owners are unsure of their property boundaries. By measuring and delineating boundary markings with GNSS receivers and network RTK where the result was then compared with corresponding boundary markings in the register map. The study also provides a literature review to give an understanding of the origin of property boundaries and their importance for property boundary. An overview of property boundaries, how they are marked and maintained. The case study sheds light on the surveyor's work process at border expulsion. The workflow includes among other archive investigation and border search. At border expulsion and border search, 31 end- and break points were found along the selected property boundaries. The mean value of the calculated radial deviation in urban areas in the case study was 0.17 meters, while in the countryside the mean value of the calculated radial deviation was between 5.27 and 4.03 meters. The study shows that the register map in this area in Värmland has an average of deviations of around five meters.

Řízení o správním vyhoštění / Administrative Expulsion Proceeding

Kubáková, Pavla January 2021 (has links)
Administrativě Expulsion Proceeding Abstract The diploma thesis entitled "Administrativě Expulsion Proceeding" deals with a detailed analysis of the applicable legislation on the institute of the administrativě expulsion including its related aspects. The content of the entire thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter defines the institute of the administrative expulsion as such with the emphasis on its non- punitive character. The second chapter emphasizes the analysis of the individual situations which the act on the residence of aliens defines as reasons leading to the delivery of administrative expulsion decision. These reasons are analysed considering the fact whether the alien is a national of an E U member state or the alien is a third-country national as well as whether the alien stays on the territory of the Czech Republic on the basis of the temporary, long-term, or permanent residence. As the lawmaker defines the significant part of reasons by an indeterminate legal concept, i.e., the public order, the third chapter gives an interpretation of this indeterminate legal concept introduced by the Nejvyšší správní soud ČR (the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic) and, at the same time, aims at delivering the answer to the question whether as conduct, seriously disrupting...

The Vox Populi Is the Vox Dei: American Localism and the Mormon Expulsion from Jackson County, Missouri

Lund, Matthew 01 May 2012 (has links)
In 1833, enraged vigilantes expelled 1,200 Mormons from Jackson County, Missouri, setting a precedent for a later expulsion of Mormons from the state, changing the course of Mormon history, and enacting in microcosm a battle over the ultimate source of authority in America’s early democratic society. The purpose of this study is two-fold: first, to reexamine the motives that induced Missourians to expel Mormons from Jackson County in 1833; and second, to explore how government authorities responded to that conflict. Past studies of the Mormon expulsion from Jackson County have argued that Mormon communalism collided with the Jacksonian individualism of Missouri residents, causing hostility and violence. However, in recent years, studies have questioned many of the conventional notions of law and governance in the antebellum era, in particular the argument that Jacksonian society was dominated by an individualistic, egalitarian, laissez-faire creed. Although Jacksonian America was a society in transition, communities continued to emphasize a tradition of localized self government, communal regulation, and distrust of outside interference. Therefore, this study explored how the local orientation of law, regulation, and government in antebellum Missouri contributed to the setting of violence and to the ways local, state, and federal authorities responded to the Mormon expulsion. An analysis of the Jackson County conflict through the lens of American localism reveals the extent to which Mormonism challenged customary notions of local sovereignty, authority, and control.
