It diagnose strong and weak sides, deficiencies and opportunities of the company Romotop Ltd. and propose possible solutions, which will lead to improvement of the financial situation for this company in the future.

This diploma thesis deals with economic health of the company JAKOS, a.s. in years 2005–2008. There was used selected methods of the financial analysis. Based on recognized facts I propose measures which should result in the improvement of financial situation of the company.

I have focused on the final accounts audit from the accounting entity view in my graduation thesis. The first part of my thesis is theoretical, and it is formed by fundamental terms explanation in the field of audit. Next part is dealing with the problem analysis, which will be solved in the practice part, and what is the accounting entity position at the time of audit. The last part is the practice part, which is dealing with the accounting entity rights and duties during the audit. The practice part should serve as the manual for the companies, which do not know what the audit amounts to, how to get prepared for and what does it result from in the case of the verification of final accounts by the auditor for them.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the financial efficiency of company Daikin Device Czech Republic for the period betwen years 2006 – 2009. By using the methods of financial analyses I evaluate the current situation and propose suggestion for improvement. The first part is theoretical and explains all related terms and sources that are later used in practical part. The practical part of the thesis starts with analysis of outside and inside factors, and subsequently is followed by the evaluation of the financial indicators and financial efficiency and the summary. In final part of this work I suggest some proposals that could lead to the improvement of the current situation of the company.

The thesis ‘Evaluation of the financial situation in the firm and proposals to its improvement’ deals with the financial analysis and evaluates the financial situation of the company. The first part defines the theoretical foundations of processing the financial analysis, its tools, methods and ways of using. The subject of the second part is the application of selected methods of financial analysis and proposed recommendations how to solve problem areas, reduce the weaknesses and improve the financial situation of the company.
