Prenant appui sur une analyse des œuvres artistiques et littéraires dont Utopie de T. MORE, le Samurai Virtuel de N. STEPHENSON ainsi que Le Corps utopique, suivi de Les hétérotopies de Michel FOUCAULT, la thèse examine trois hypothèses de l’espace territorialisé par les artistes : Le Topos, l’Hétérotopos et l’Utopos. Trois genres d’espaces ont été étudiés : Les MUVEs (Second Life et les Open Sims), les Machinimas et le cinéma (le film Avatar de J. CAMERON).Ces nouveaux espaces artistiques favorisent une communication entre les territoires réels et concrets avec ceux virtuels et actuels se trouvant dans le cyberespace comme le mentionne P. LEVY. Selon lui, les créations et les textes de Fred FOREST ont mis en évidence la notion du cyberterritoire.Ces territoires numériques en émergence sont hétérotopiques et considérés comme des espaces autres, hétérogènes, de transition et de contestation selon FOUCAULT.L’approche des enjeux utopiques de ces espaces numériques et fictionnels instaurés dans le film Avatar de James CAMERON et les Machinimas nous conduit à être attentifs à la problématique du corps envisagé comme avatar, aux espaces virtuels et à la manière dont les artistes appréhendent des îles de Second Life. Il s’agit de dégager les codes des mondes virtuels et de comprendre les enjeux utopiques des espaces virtuels conçus comme un territoire virtuel imaginaire.La thèse analyse l’espace internet, en tant que topos hypermatériel et virtuel, dont les programmes et les interfaces peuvent simuler le réel, le dépasser tout en nous faisant entrer dans un monde rêvé ou bien utopique. / According to an analysis of artistic works and literature, among which are Utopia of T.MORE, Snow Crash of N. STEPHENSON and The utopian body followed by heterotopias of Michel FOUCAULT, the present thesis examines three hypotheses of the space territorialized by artists : the Topos, the Heterotops and the Utopos. Three types of space were studied: the MUVEs (Second Life and the Open Sims), the Machinimas and the cinema (the film Avatar by J. CAMERON).These new artistic spaces support a communication between the real and concrete territories and the virtual and actual ones which are found in the cyberspace as mentioned by P. LEVY. According to him, the creations and texts of Fred FOREST brought out the notion of cyberterritory. These digital and emerging territories are heterotopic and are considered as different spaces, heterogeneous, transitional and of contestation, according to FOUCAULT. The approach of utopic challenges relative to these digital and fictional spaces, which are found in James CAMERON’s film Avatar and the Machinimas, compels us to be attentive to the question of the body considered as avatar, to the virtual spaces and to the manner with which the artists apprehend the Second Life isles. This aims at extricating the codes of the virtual worlds and understanding the utopic challenges of the virtual spaces which are conceived as an imaginary virtual territory. The thesis analyzes the space in the internet, as an hypermaterial and virtual topos of which the programs and the interfaces can simulate the real, go past everything, leading us to a world of dreams or to a rather utopic world.

Charles de Foucauld var en romersk-katolsk präst, ordensbroder och eremit som under sinasista levnadsår bodde i Sahara i Algeriet. I följande arbete analyseras hans liv och denöverlåtelse till Gud som han ägnade sig åt som det framställs i hans efterlämnade skrifter.Både sammanställda skrifter med hans anteckningar och biografier av andra författarebaserade på hans efterlämnade skrifter används. Kenneth Pargaments teori om religiös copingappliceras på detta material. Överlåtelsen för de Foucauld tolkas vara det som är signifikantför honom i copingprocessen.

Le texte déposé ici est l'un des documents soumis en vue d'une Habilitation à diriger des recherches en lettres et sciences humaines, soutenue à l'Université Paris X-Nanterre le 29 juin 2006. Ce texte de synthèse retrace, comme c'est l'usage, la carrière du chercheur depuis ses enquêtes en pays touareg de 1976 à 1990. Avant d'aborder les recherches en cours, l'auteur fournit un résumé de ses deux principaux ouvrages, La tente dans la solitude. La société et les morts chez les Touaregs Kel-Ferwan (Paris/Cambridge, Maison des sciences de l'homme/Cambridge University Press, 1987) et Gens de parole. Langage, poésie et politique en pays touareg (Paris, La Découverte, 2000). Il entend marquer comment s'est imposé à lui, avec de plus en plus de force au cours des années, le fait que l'anthropologie doit être considérée comme une science historique : les concepts qu'elle utilise restent indexés sur le contexte d'écriture où ils sont apparus, et ne peuvent être transposés sans trahison ni isolés sans simplification. Ce qui suppose que l'anthropologue, tout comme les autres praticiens des sciences sociales, ne peut travailler qu'à un niveau d'abstraction assez bas.<br />Les recherches en cours, que le texte aborde ensuite, consistent tout d'abord en une réflexion générale sur la littérature orale, dans ses rapports avec l'écriture. Dans ce cadre l'auteur a notamment abordé la question homérique, à travers une analyse critique des thèses de Milman Parry et Albert Lord. Il s'est aussi attaché à montrer comment les thèmes de la poésie courtoise - qu'elle soit touarègue, arabe ou occitane - sont liés aux conditions de sa production et de sa réception. Ces recherches ont par la suite fourni la matière d'un livre paru en 2012 à CNRS Éditions : L'aède et le troubadour. Essai sur la tradition orale (voir http://www.academia.edu/1500254/Laede_et_le_troubadour._Essai_sur_la_tradition_orale). <br />Les recherches de l'auteur consistent par ailleurs en une réflexion sur l'histoire des premiers contacts entre Touaregs et Français. Cette réflexion a conduit l'auteur à retracer le parcours biographique de l'explorateur Henri Duveyrier (1840-1892), et de Charles de Foucauld (1858-1916). <br />Les autres documents soumis en vue de cette habilitation étaient un recueil d'articles, dont certains, consacrés au parcours de Charles de Foucauld, ont fourni la matière à une biographie parue en 2009: Charles de Foucauld, moine et savant (voir http://halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/halshs-00426237/fr/). À quoi s'ajoutait une biographie d'Henri Duveyrier parue en 2007 aux éditions Ibis Press sous le titre: "Henri Duveyrier. Un saint-simonien au désert".

English abstract The present dissertation Spirituality of Presence: the Significance of R. Voillaume s Work focuses on the life and work of R. Voillaume (1905-2003). His work is understood as spirituality of presence , or to be more precise of double presence: presence to God and presence to man. After the introductory part dealing with Voillaume s life, historical context and a survey of his work, the dissertation continues with an analysis of his literary work. The main theme is a relecture of Foucauld s spirituality of Nazareth in the light of the mentioned concept of presence: the hidden and silent presence in the midst of men refers not only to the significance of hidden life in Catholic spirituality, it also points out to the deep openness to the situation of modern man and to the search of an authentic Christian life as a life of presence trying to make the life of faith accessible to a contemporary man in a creative and nonconformist way. The conclusion puts Foucauldian spirituality (whose main interpreter is R. Voillaume) into the context of Catholic spirituality and confronts his spirituality of presence with the findings of biblical theology.
