The submitted doctoral thesis is an analysis of five novels and one prosaic fragment of the German writer Wolfgang Koeppen (1906-1996). Its first part concentrates on Koeppen`s literary depiction of the phenomena of modernity and of the modern consciousness. In the second part I follow the existential dimension of Koeppen`s novels and I try to put them into the context of the existentialist discourse, which influenced the genesis and the establishment of the so called existentialist literature. Koeppen`s novels share with the texts of existential philosophers and writers the topic of the problems of human existence and of the situation of man in the historic reality of the modern times. This doctoral thesis places Koeppen`s novels, as novels belonging to the literary modernism, into the thematic context of the reflexion of modernity. It is based on the foundation that Koeppen`s novels depict the phenomena of the rationalistic modernity and of the modern consciousness with a critical intention. As follows, it deals with the selected themes of Koeppen`s novels such as the lack of meaning, the loss of utopia and the crisis of the individual in the modern era. <p>Föreliggande examensarbete behandlar det retorikdidaktiska begreppet imitatio som undervisnings- och lärandemetod. Syftet är att undersöka vad imitatio (efterbildning) kan betyda i didaktisk mening, hur det skiljer sig gentemot det svenska begreppet imitation och hur lärare tillika retorikstudenter förhåller sig till det i sin undervisning och i sin kompetensutveckling. Med utgångspunkt i syftet har två metoder använts; telefonintervjuer med fyra lärare som vidareutbildat sig i den retorikdidaktiska kursen Progymnasmata samt en litterturstudie. Telefonintervjuerna bidrar med ett praktiskt didaktiskt underlag från yrkesverksamma didaktiker, och litteraturstudien ligger till grund för undersökningen av imitatios retoriska ursprung och didaktiska relevans samt imitationsbegreppets olika tvärvetenskapliga innebörder. Resultatet visar att imitatio som retorikdidaktiskt begrepp i betydelsen medveten efterbildning har ett begränsat inflytande i samtida didaktisk forskning, trots dess över tvåtusen år långa historia med omfattande tillämpning. Imitation figurerar dock alltjämt i didaktisk forskning, men som en beskrivning av en omedveten och oreflekterad handling i lärandeprocesser. En central slutsats är att imitatiobegreppet har blivit föremål för en begreppsglidning och fått anmärkningsvärt lite utrymme i didaktisk forskning som en alternativ undervisnings- och lärandemetod.</p>

Visou-se analisar a importância e relevância dos lugares nesta obra literária em suas diversas formas, como relacionar os reflexos e a importância da espacialidade no comportamento das personagens e a sua consequente função para o direcionamento da narrativa, a recepção leitora para a construção dos espaços através da semiose, a involuntária identificação extratextual do espaço capixaba através da cartografia reapresentada no livro a partir do mundo empírico, juntamente com a apropriação do espaço Clássico através da interface Satiricon/A ceia dominicana e a simbologia dos signos relacionados a este específico espaço literário. A base teórica utilizada foi a de Gaston Bachelard (2008) e Ozíris Borges Filho (2007), com a contribuição de outros teóricos respeitados no meio acadêmico relacionados aos Estudos Literários e também com a apropriação do aporte teórico de outras áreas de conhecimento, como a Geografia Humanista, a Física, a Psicologia e a Filosofia. Metodologicamente, procurou-se uma vertente mais abrangente para as análises devido à grande diversidade de linhas de pesquisa que a obra de Reinaldo Santos Neves promove a partir de sua pluralidade interpretativa e riqueza enquanto obra literária, assim utilizou-se o pós-estruturalismo para que houvesse liberdade de absorção de conhecimentos de tais áreas pautados na característica de escrita contemporânea do autor. Com tamanha possibilidade, o trabalho ganhou ares ensaísticos ao romper de forma tênue com a formalidade no que tange a composição dissertativa da escrita analítica, respeitando-se, porém, a forma monográfica em suas divisões e subdivisões. De forma geral, este trabalho pretende reforçar ao leitor a importância do conhecimento dos espaços na construção das narrativas, utilizando-se de uma literatura que permite tal análise do topos de forma ampla e didática.

In the paper \cite{FHS12}, the authors announce the discovery of an invariant for Grothendieck toposes which they call the isotropy group of a topos. Roughly speaking, the isotropy group of a topos carries algebraic data in a way reminiscent of how the subobject classifier carries spatial data. Much as we like to compute invariants of spaces in algebraic topology, we would like to have tools to calculate invariants of toposes in category theory. More precisely, we wish to be in possession of theorems which tell us how to go about computing (higher) isotropy groups of various toposes. As it turns out, computation of isotropy groups in toposes can often be reduced to questions at the level of small categories and it is therefore interesting to try and see how isotropy behaves with respect to standard constructions on categories. We aim to provide a summary of progress made towards this goal, including results on various commutation properties of higher isotropy quotients with colimits and the way isotropy quotients interact with categories collaged together via certain nice kinds of profunctors. The latter should be thought of as an analogy for the Seifert-van Kampen theorem, which allows computation of fundamental groups of spaces in terms of fundamental groups of smaller subspaces.
