Vliv fyzioterapie a AFO na prodloužení vertikalizace u pacientů s Duchennovou muskulární dystrofií / Effect of physiotherapy and AFO extension verticalization in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy

Jánská, Anna January 2014 (has links)
Our research is focused on using orthotic devices in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), particularly in the ambulant phase of the disease. DMD is the most common hereditary muscle disorder in childhood. The typical symptoms are progressive muscle weakness and contractures that lead to loss of ability of independent walking, typically among the age of 9 to 13 years. The theoretical part is focused on pattern of standing and walking in these patients, the posibilities of useing the orthotic devices in various stages of the disease, and on the problems of contractures and deformities. The other teoretical part of the work is devoted to certain physiotherapy interventions and to associated physical activities. The practical part of the research is based on assesment of effect of physiotherapy and use of the nigt orthesis AFO (Ankle- Foot-Orthesis) in group of 10 DMD boys in the average age 9,1 ± 2,7 years. All boys were examined before and after 6 month of therapy. In examinations the following tests were used: NSAA (North Star Ambulatory Assessment), BI (Barthel index) measurements of muscle strength by hand held myometr and measurement of PROM (passive range of motion). The practical part also includes analysis of questionnaire datas from 19 patients with DMD collected in year 3/2013, questions...

Sledování posturálních a respiračních funkcí u nemocných s Duchennovou muskulární distrofií / Monitoring postural and respiratory function in patients with Duchennne muscular dystrophy

Vargová, Zuzana January 2014 (has links)
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a progressive muscle disease that is still incurable. The disease affects all systems in the body and is therefore a need for a comprehensive approach. It manifests itself in childhood muscle weakness. Over time, there is a postural and respiratory changes affecting posture and the respiratory system. Depending on the changes of these functions leads to certain complications. Among these complications rank poorly stereotype walk, spinal deformities such as scoliosis, bad stereotype affect breathing, leading to vital lung function and many more. These complications are present in a particular time sequence and can be assigned to a specific patient age. This thesis is focused on the monitoring of postural and respiratory function in these patients. The work is the evaluation of these changes when they occur and in which the patient's age. Patients are rehabilitated life and physiotherapy is an integral part of treatment. It focuses possibilities of surgical treatment of scoliosis. The work also includes a questionnaire aimed at rehabilitation and physical therapy patients. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Bibliographic identification HAVLIŠTOVÁ, Michaela. Respiratory physiotherapy affects the quality of life of children with SMA - how, when and why? Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of rehabilitation and sport medicine, 2012. 81 p. Supervisor Doc. PaedDr. Libuše Smolíková, Ph. D. Annotation This thesis deals with the influence respiratory function in children with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). The theoretical part provides an overview of respiratory physiotherapy techniques that can be used in the care of the airways in people with SMA. The practical part deals with the question whether it is possible using the selected techniques of respiratory physiotherapy after six weeks of training to affect ventilatory parameters in children with SMA. The group of six probands with SMA I. - III. type in the range of the age from 3.5 to 12 years participated in this study. To objectively assess changes was performed spirometry efore the beginning of the therapy and after its conclusion. The main therapy was daily training with inspiratory breath simulator CliniFlo. After the finishing of therapy there was a positive change in all measured parameters except for vital capacity (VC) and maximal expiratory flow at 75% of FVC (MEF75), where the values didn't change. Statistically significant...

Hallux valgus v ordinaci fyzioterapeuta / Hallux valgus in the context of physiotherapy

Lufinková, Hana January 2011 (has links)
Objectives: This work solves the problem of hallux valgus deformities, aetiology, biomechanics, the possibility of conservative therapy, surgery and post-operative treatment. Methods: Data collection was made by questionnare survey of people during thein hospitalization for hallux valgus surgery and than after 4-5 months. Questionnaires are targeted primarily to conservative therapy and post-operative rehabilitation therapy. Results: Due to the small number of probands (20 people) can not be drawn significant conclusions. Hallux valgus deformity is often solved by surgery rather than by conservative treatement, mostly because of the decision of patients for treatment, when the deformity is in an advanced stage. Postoperative rehabilitation treatment has a positive effect on recovery, particularly in terms of reducing pain and swelling, to facilitate walking (subjectively).

Zhodnoceni efektu fyzioterapeutických postupů u pacientů po cévní mozkové příhodě s pusher a neglect syndromem / Efficacy of physiotherapeutic interventions in stroke patients with pusher and neglect syndrome

Fridrichová, Iva January 2013 (has links)
TITLE Efficacy of physiotherapeutic interventions in stroke patients with pusher and neglect syndrome. OBJECTIVES The aim of the thesis is to summarise current literature concerning two peculiar phenomena following stroke - pusher syndrome and neglect. Furthermore the work focuses on evaluation of efficacy of physiotherapeutic interventions. METHODS The thesis represents a critical review of a literature and it consists of three parts. The first one summarize issues concerning the pusher syndrome and neglect in general. In a special part you can find a detailed description of physiotherapeutic methods that are widely used in a rehabilitation treatment of these two neuronal symptoms. This work is concluded by evaluating results of effects of the therapeutic interventions that are discussed with respect to the future research. RESULTS Up till now there are no clinical trials concerning efficiacy of physiotherapeutic methods in a treatment of a pusher syndrome. The similar situation seems to be in case of a neglect syndrome as number of available clinical trials testing the efficiacy of physiotherapeutic techniques is very limited. The studies show positive results of a training of visual and spatial orientation or prism adaptation to effectively treat neglect patients. On the contrary, pharmacological...
