This thesis deals with a flooded stone quarry near the village Hradec u Stodu. This quarry is examined from historical, biological and educational point of view. The thesis contains informations about history, ecology and environmental conditions of the examined lokality, results of geological, faunistic and floristic investigation and suggestion on the utilization of this lokality for biology and geology education in the field; work sheets for pupils are completed too. Found organism photogalery is attached in appendices. DVD containing a thorough photodocumentation is also a part of this thesis.

The thesis deals with scientific expeditions to the Tibetan plateau carried out by Chinese scientists from the 1950s. The whole thesis is framed by two models of the spread of Western science to an unknown land. Is it or is it not the spread of Western science into Tibet the form of colonial control? We will use these two models to answer this question. The thesis tracks the interests and the meaning of expeditions to China and Chinese science. It deals with the development of Chinese Academy of Sciences, which organized the Chinese expeditions. It also describes and summarizes the work and results of Chinese scientists which were presented at the international conference on Tibet in 1980, and examines their contributions to the Chinese and Western science. Part of the thesis deals with the reflection of otherness in the published interviews with participants which we use as primary sources for the thesis. Excursions are an organizational form of teaching that is relatively often neglected in today's schools. Excursions are very important in education of pupils on grammer and secondary schools, because it allows to combine the knowledge of pupils gained during theoretical lessons in school with practical demonstrations of items, processes and relationships among objects in the terrain. Pupils are better acquainted with the required curriculum and more effectively fulfill the predetermined educational target. This diploma thesis introduces an example of such an excursion into the Krčský les area. In the theoretical part of this diploma thesis are summarized basic didactic aspects related to organizational forms of teaching, excursions, teaching methods and Framework Education Programmes. There are also chracteristics of the Krčský les area focused mainly on the natural conditions, specifically on geological, hydrological, botanical and zoological aspects. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the protection of the nature the into Krčský les area. This master´s thesis deals with the determination of vertical gravity gradient in the shaft below the infantry bunker TS - 73 "Polom" located in village Babí. After performing position, elevation and gravity measurements detailed points, representing the two vertical profiles were calculated gravity, vertical gravity gradient, block densities ang gravity anomalies depending on the depth. Other outputs work as a topographic map and a map of full Bouguer anomalies for the wider area of the location and interpretive geologic profile.

The objective of thesis is to design and evaluate suitable foundation pit and in the establishment of multi-functional building on the street Smetanova 19 in Brno. The part of this thesis is also to describe the technological process of implementing the designed constructions and the preparation of relevant design documentation.

Der Bericht dokumentiert die Ergebnisse des Vorhabens »Innovative digitale Geomodelle 2020«, Teil 1. Damit liegen für wichtige regionalgeologische Einheiten Sachsens dreidimensionale Daten vor. Mittels vieler heterogener Eingangsdaten wurden 3D-Modelle von 13 stratigrafischen Einheiten erstellt. Zur Modellierung diente die Software GOCAD. Die gewonnenen Daten konnten mithilfe der Datenbanksoftware GST erstmals in einer ORACLE-Datenbank gespeichert werden, um einen projektunabhängigen Zugriff zu gewährleisten. Die 3D-Modellierung der Geologie hat das Ziel, den geologischen Untergrund in seiner Gesamtheit darzustellen und komplexe Zusammenhänge sichtbar zu machen.

Der Bericht liefert einen Überblick über die geologischen Gegebenheiten entlang der geplanten Schienenneubaustrecke zwischen Dresden und Prag, die als Teilabschnitt des Middle-East-Korridors zum Trans-Europäischen Netz gehört. Er beinhaltet ein geologisches 3D-Modell entlang der Trasse, die Ergebnisse geophysikalischer Untersuchungen im Bereich der Struktur Börnersdorf und Ergebnisse geotechnischer Untersuchungen an ausgewählten Punkten. Naturschutz ist inzwischen tief in unserem Denken und Handeln angekommen. Aber noch immer wird dabei zu allererst an den Schutz von Tieren und Pflanzen gedacht, gefolgt vom Schutz des oberirdischen und unterirdischen Wassers. Das ist verständlich, hat doch diese Art des Naturschutzes lange zurückliegende Wurzeln.

The freshwater fish species Schistura robertsi and Paracanthocobitis zonalternans belong to the family Nemacheilidae, which is distributed across whole Eurasia and with one species in northeast Africa. P. zonalternans occurs in lowland habitats through western Southeast Asia from Central Myanmar until northern Malaysia. The distribution area is of biogeographic interest, because it crosses several known biogeographic barriers, namely the border between Indian and Indochinese freshwater fauna along the Salween River, the Isthmus of Kra, the Krabi - Surat Thani line and the Kangar - Pattani line. In the present study, around 250 specimens of P. zonalternans from 62 localities across the whole distribution area were investigated using genetic (nuclear and mitochondrial sequences), morphologic and geologic data. The genetic data reveal the existence of seven major clades within the analysed material, each of them with a distinct geographic distribution area and only few cases of overlap, but with occurrence of some cases of secondary contact. Divergence time estimations suggested that P. zonalternans is about 18 my old, and a biogeographic analysis located the region of origin in the Tenasserim region (nowadays southern Myanmar).
