In situations where the mass of people are significant in relation to the mass of the structure, as in the case of temporary stands, the effect becomes more pronounced. These structures have less stiffness in the lateral direction, justifying the purpose of the present study to investigate the effect in this direction that causes the presence of people in a temporary grandstand. For the development, a prototype grandstand with a capacity of approximately 100 people was assembled in the laboratory and modal tests were performed with the empty structure and also partially occupied by people. Models in finite element (FE) were developed using the software Ansys. Experimental data and FE model results with 5, 8 and 12 people seated were correlated to adjust a biodynamic model representing seated and standing spectators. The biodynamic model, conceived as a single degree of freedom (SDOF), was proposed in a survey undertaken, being adapted to the conditions of the people in the stands. Transient analysis using ANSYS were also performed to adjust the damping coefficient of biodynamic models. Once the biodynamic models were defined, investigations on the vibration properties of the structure when it was gradually occupied by these models were performed. The results show significant changes in natural frequencies of stucture when occupied by seated and standing people when compared with the natural frequencies of the empty stand. These situations demonstrate the importance of considering the effect of people in temporary grandstand and its representation through biodynamic models. / Estudos têm demonstrado que a presença de pessoas gera modificações no comportamento dinâmico das estruturas em virtude do acréscimo de massa e da capacidade que o corpo humano possui de absorver energia, justificando a representação do corpo humano por modelos tipo massa-mola-amortecedor. Nas situações em que a massa das pessoas é significativa em relação à massa da estrutura, como é o caso das arquibancadas temporárias, o efeito torna-se mais acentuado. Essas estruturas têm menor rigidez na direção lateral, justificando o objetivo da presente pesquisa de investigar para esta direção o efeito que a presença de pessoas provoca em uma arquibancada temporária. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, um protótipo de arquibancada com capacidade aproximada para 100 pessoas foi montada em laboratório e testes modais foram realizados com a estrutura vazia e parcialmente ocupada por pessoas. Modelos em elementos finitos (EF) foram desenvolvidos no software Ansys. Dados experimentais e resultados do modelo em EF da arquibancada com 5, 8 e 12 pessoas sentadas e em pé foram correlacionados para ajustar um modelo biodinâmico representando espectadores sentados e m pé. Um modelo biodinâmico de um grau de liberdade (1GDL) foi proposto em pesquisa já realizada, sendo adaptado para as condições das pessoas na arquibancada. Análises transientes utilizando o Ansys também foram realizadas para ajustar o coeficiente de amortecimento dos modelos biodinâmicos. Definidos os modelos biodinâmicos, investigações sobre as propriedades de vibração da estrutura quando foi gradualmente ocupada por estes modelos, foram realizadas. Os resultados demonstram mudanças significativas nas frequências naturais da estrutura quando ocupada por pessoas sentadas e em pé, quando comparadas com as frequências naturais da arquibancada vazia. Estas situações demonstram a importância de se considerar o efeito da presença de pessoas sentadas e em pé em arquibancadas temporárias e sua representação através de modelos biodinâmicos.

This is mainly due to the type of use they are subjected. Vibration problems were detected in these structures and occurrences of accidents have been reported. In this sense, it is necessary to study and identify dynamic characteristics of grandstand components, in order to develop numerical models that can be used for a better understanding of issues linked to comfort and safety of these structures. The numerical model of this type of structure for vibration analysis enables the design to be analyzed with respect to natural frequencies and mode shapes of the structure, avoiding possible effects of resonance with the excitation due to the public. The objective is to develop and adjust numerical models of a temporary grandstand for the characterization of numerical-experimental behaviour in relation to natural frequencies. A temporary grandstand with a capacity of about 96 people was assembled in the laboratory. Previous studies of structural components are used and supplemented with tests and numerical modeling. Modal tests were performed to characterize the structure and calibrate the numerical models. Such models were developed with different degrees of refinement in order to obtain a comparison of the effect of simplifications while modeling the structure. The study provides knowledge about the development of more accurate numerical models of this type of structure, enabling diagnostic of dynamic behavior in use, with guidelines on the level of refinement that should be adopted to model this type of structure. / Estruturas de arquibancadas temporárias estão sujeitas a carregamentos dinâmicos. Isto se deve principalmente ao tipo de uso a que são submetidas. Problemas de vibração foram detectados nestas estruturas e ocorrência de acidentes vêm sendo registradas. Neste sentido, faz-se necessário estudo e identificação das características dinâmicas dos componentes que constituem as estruturas de arquibancadas temporárias, de forma a elaborar modelos numéricos que possam ser utilizados para melhor entendimento de aspectos associados ao conforto e segurança destas estruturas. O modelo numérico deste tipo de estrutura, para análise de vibração, possibilita a análise quanto às freqüências naturais e as formas modais da estrutura, evitando possíveis efeitos de ressonância com a excitação do público. O objetivo deste trabalho é desenvolver e ajustar modelos numéricos de arquibancada temporária com vista à caracterização do comportamento numérico-experimental no que se refere às freqüências naturais. Para tanto, uma arquibancada temporária em estrutura metálica com capacidade de aproximadamente 96 pessoas foi montada em laboratório. Estudos prévios com componentes da estrutura são aproveitados e complementados com a realização de novos testes e modelagens numéricas. Testes modais foram realizados para caracterização da estrutura e calibração de modelos numéricos. Tais modelos foram desenvolvidos com graus de refinamentos diferentes, de forma a se obter uma comparação do efeito de simplificações na modelagem da estrutura. O estudo possibilita aprofundar o conhecimento quanto ao desenvolvimento de modelos numéricos mais precisos deste tipo de estrutura, viabilizando diagnósticos do comportamento dinâmico em uso, com diretrizes quanto ao nível de refinamento que se deve adotar ao modelar este tipo de estrutura.

The aim of this thesis is to create a design of a grandstand steel roof structure with ground plan dimensions of 15 x 116 m in Frýdek-Místek. The roof size must meet all the required dimensions, so that the comfort of sitting spectators is not disturbed. The transverse connection is FORMED by trusses, which are hinged on columns. The spacing between inner connections is 12 m and 10 m between outer connections. The columns are interlocked in the base. The rigidity is secured by a system of brace rods and truss purlins. The steel columns are composed of rolled profiles designed according to ČSN EN standards. The structure consists of steel S355, some parts are then made from S235 or S460 (ordinary steel).

The proposed building is based on the technical design and logical design, which was formulated with the knowledge of the operation in the newly built premises for the F1 cars in the World.

Att tillföra nya funktioner i kyrkorum – en fallstudie av Pjätteryds kyrka / Adding new functions to church rooms - case study Pjätteryd's church

Många församlingar har stora kyrkor som är dyra för församlingarna att underhålla. För att klara sig ekonomiskt så säljer församlingar sina prästgårdar och församlingshem. Eftersom det enda som blir kvar oftast bara är kyrkan, verkställs ombyggnationer där kyrkorna möjliggör att de kan fungera som både kyrkor och församlingslokaler. I detta arbete undersöks den rådande lagstiftningen om vad som gäller vid en omgestaltning av en kyrka. Arbetet presenterar även olika kyrkor som har lyckats lösa denna typ av ombyggnationer. Därefter redovisas ett funktionellt, kvalitativt förslag på en lösning till det aktuella problemet genom en fallstudie av Pjätteryds kyrka. Med utgångspunkt i intervjuer, forskning, böcker och artiklar som talar om kyrkor och dess kulturhistoriska värde, togs det slutligen fram en lösning som i detta arbete presenteras i form av ett förslag. Förslaget tar stor hänsyn till kulturmiljölagen så att Pjätteryds kyrkas kulturhistoriska värde inte förvanskas, men tillfredsställer samtidigt behoven av att skapa nya utrymmen och funktioner för församlingens olika verksamheter. Utöver att förslaget bidrar till att minska energianvändningen anordnas även en ekonomisk arkitektonisk lösning som stödjer tillgänglighetsaspekter, där den smarta uppdelningen av kyrkans utrymmen medverkar till att nyttja dess ytor. Hänsyn har även tagits till miljöperspektivet vad gäller uppvärmning och energikälla, samt tillgång till dagens krav på ett sunt inomhusklimat för Pjätteryds kyrkas besökare. En modell på förslaget togs fram genom datorprogrammen Revit, SketchUp och Lumion. Den föreslagna ytan som rekommenderas efter de nytillförda, önskade och ändrade funktionerna, är belägen under orgelläktaren. Genom att utforma ytan på detta vis friställs den från övriga kyrkorummet och minimerar därmed driftkostnader vid mindre sammankomster samt att man tack vare detta förslag på ombyggnation även kommer att lyckas locka tillbaka Pjätteryds kyrkas besökare som de senaste åren minskat påtagligt. / Many congregations have large churches that are expensive for them to maintain. To survive financially, parishes sell their parsonages and parish homes. Since the only thing left is usually just the church, reconstructions are carried out in order to create also space for congregational premises within the church. In this work, the current legislation is examined regarding what applies to the remodeling of a church. The work also presents various churches that have managed to solve this type of reconstruction. A functional, qualitative proposal for a solution to such a problem is then presented through a case study of Pjätteryd's church. Based on interviews, research, books, and articles about churches and their cultural-historical value, a solution was finally developed which is presented in this work in the form of a proposal. The proposal takes great account of the Cultural Environment Act so that the cultural-historical value of the church in Pjätteryd is not distorted, but at the same time satisfies the needs to create new spaces and functions for the parish's various activities. In addition to the fact that the proposal contributes to reducing energy use, an economical architectural solution is also arranged that supports accessibility aspects, where the smart division of the church's spaces helps to make use of its surfaces. Consideration has also been given to the environmental perspective in terms of heating and energy sources, as well as access to today's requirements for a healthy indoor climate for Pjätteryd's church visitors. A model of the proposal was created through the computer programs Revit, SketchUp and Lumion. The proposed surface, which is recommended after the newly added, desired, and changed functions, is situated under the organ stand. By designing the surface in this way, it is freed from the rest of the church room and thus minimizes operating costs for smaller gatherings, and thanks to this proposal for remodeling, you will also succeed in attracting back Pjätteryd's church visitors, who have decreased significantly in recent years.

The supporting structure of the gym is formed by means of the column system with the use of the roof preloaded trusses. The entrance part of the building is designed as a column system using load-bearing beams and prefabricated ceiling sections. Overall, the structure of the building consists of columns, footings, foundation beams, reinforcing beams, prefabricated components which function as a ceiling structure, components functioning as a grandstand, a load - bearing beams a preloaded roof trusses V1. The diploma thesis designs particular supporting elements of the construction together with the construction of a grandstand.

Modernizace sportovního areálu s výstavbou bytových jednotek / Modernization of the sports complex with the construction of housing units

The aim of the thesis was to create documentation for an extensive construction modifications of sports complex including the construction of housing units near Třebíč in the small village of Třebenice in Moravia. It was necessary to cooperate with the municipality and follow its requirements for the restoration of functionality and maintenance of individual operations for which the building was intended, hence the municipality considered them necessary in the future operation of the building. The project also included the design of paved areas and fencing of the playground. The main requirement of the municipality was to build a grandstand within the already built-up area of ??the object, and therefore part of the building is being demolished. This will change the layout of the basement and move the operation of the restaurant from the basement to the first floor with a view of the playground. Football players' locker rooms will be maintained in the basement, moreover a boiler room with air conditioning, facilities for referees and a club room with hygienic facilities will be added. On the first floor, the operation of the offices will be partially maintained and separated, and there will also be more space for a hairdresser and a restaurant. The last floor will be completely removed and rebuilt with a flat roof covering only half of the area compared to the current state. Following the current state, the 2nd floor will serve for housing, but as starting apartments for young families. The risers are made of autoclaved concrete and the new masonry is made of brick blocks for precise masonry. Over the restaurant is an extensive green roof and the roof over the apartments has a classic order of layers with a stabilizing layer of gravel. The building is contact-insulated with the ETICS system using mineral wool and the final layer is made of white exterior plaster. The plinth is lined with concrete cladding. The master‘s thesis concerns about the freestanding multipurpose sport hall with a base for sportsmen and spectators and its associated sport and regeneration centre. The object is situated in a city district Brno Bohunice. The designed building is divided into a single storey multipurpose sport hall and an outbuilding with two above-ground floors and a partial third floor above the entrance part of the building. Object’s plan shape forms a rectangle with recessed entrance part. The load-bearing structure consists of a combined column and wall construction system. The main multipurpose hall is roofed with arched glulam laminated trusses, which are supported by steel columns covered by sandwich panels. The outbuilding’s vertical load-bearing structure is formed by clay blocks. The horizontal load-bearing structure is formed by prestressed concrete floor slab. The building is based on shallow foundations. The object is designed to be barrier-free for sportsmen and visitors as well.
