The present study aimed to understand the use of cultural intelligence in international joint ventures in high-technology sectors, taking as case study the HT Micron, which was born from the union of the Brazilian Parit Group and South Korean Hana Micron to understand the steps performed to consolidate the business. The use of cultural intelligence still a challenge for many people and companies, as well as being an area little known in academy, as pointed Livermore (2010), with a wide field of research to be explored and developed. In this research was tried to provide a sequence of information about the company, assessing the cultural aspects involved in intercultural management and cultural intelligence, more visualized through the Brazilian side of the joint venture. Based on the theoretical reasons, performed through a literature research related to the subject, was created an exploratory case study, conducting interviews and personal visits to different areas of the company and people who were involved in the creation of the company, developing a content analysis. The theses contextualizes the semiconductor area, identifies the cultural aspects of the realization of the joint venture, shows how is the HT Micron in intercultural management and use of cultural intelligence, and suggest a set of recommendations in the area of cultural intelligence for international joint ventures as the HT Micron. As a result of the research can be seen that the company had sporadic actions in the cultural development, featuring a low utilization of the principles of cultural intelligence in the shaping of the joint venture, which could be better explored in the day-by-day operation.

Dosoudilová, Anna January 2013 (has links)
The thesis is based on questionnaire survey conducted among 136 so called "green and colourful" respondents. The term "the colourful and the green" comes from the professor of environmental sociology, Hana Librová, and refers to people living the ecologically beneficial lifestyle that can be characterized by voluntary or intentional modesty. The target of the survey was to find out whether these people are influenced in their lifestyle by books or which books would articulate their worldview the best; what books they resonate with. Often repeated titles formed a "green influential literary canon" that is further analyzed in the thesis. First, the canon as a whole is examined, second the three most frequent books are studied with an ecocritical approach. In the canon, a minimum titles from the field of deep ecology, nature writing as well as science fiction or utopia were registered. Despite the expectation, there were many books related to New Age movement in the canon as well as pop-cultural spiritual writings. Nevertheless, books concerning native americans, together with eco- philosophical works largely dominated. Functions that the publications fulfill for the readers are seen as a clamp of diverse books in the canon. There are three main functions defined and further explained:...

Umírání jako příběh (několik řešení) / Dying as a story (several solutions)

Kloudová, Daniela January 2017 (has links)
The dissertation aims at showing the differences in dealing with the death issue in characteristic works of art of both Czech and world literature. Above all, it pursues the comparison of two novels Život střídá smrt ("Life Becomes Death") by Petr Prouza and Nebe nemá dno ("Heaven is Bottomless") by Hana Andronikova. Both unique books belong to key Czech novels with the topic of death. Moreover, both of them deal with death from the point of personal experience, which means they are strongly autobiographical. The dissertation concentrates on creative processes and topical aspects, grasps autobiographical elements of both novels and all the identities and differences in the approach to the same topic. Therefore, the dissertation is devoted to listing the works of art dealing with death, further on to the analyses, interpretation and comparison of the novels Život střídá smrt ("Life Becomes Death") and Nebe nemá dno ("Heaven is Bottomless") together with the reflexion of reader's experience.
