The theme of this diploma thesis is Tuzex foreign trade as a phenomenon of the time during the period of socialism in Czechoslovakia. In this work is described the structure, the way the foreign trade company works for domestic export - Tuzex, its development into 1992, with a focus on the important role of Tuzex in business in CSSR and foreign trade and its impact on the existence of a socialist society. thats all in contrast to contemporary society , where the Communist Party sharply criticized the Western way of life and its products, but on the other hand run and practise elite trade with foreign goods. 4

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the influence of media ownership on media depiction of anti-government protests in 2019 organized by a civic organization Milion Chvilek (Million Moments for Democracy) in daily newspapers Lidové noviny and Hospodářské noviny through a comparative content analysis. Lidové noviny is a part of MAFRA media group owned by current Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš with his ownership share placed in a trust managed by his wife and other close associates. Daily newsprint and other publications in this media group found themselves in a situation where they had to report about protests focused on their de facto owner. A public debate centered around Andrej Babiš's possible conflict of interest has been ongoing since his entry into politics. Babiš's strong position in the media industry is one of the debate's focal points. According to his critics, this position could enable him to manipulate public mood which would provide him with an unfair advantage in the political arena. This diploma thesis "Media image of Andreje Babiš in the following newspapers: Mladá fronta DNES, Právo Hospodářské noviny and Lidové noviny in the connotation with the affair of a stork's nest" focuses on issue of the media image of an important public figure, politician and head representative of the most popular party in our republic in the time periods chosen for the purpose of this diploma thesis (May 2016, August 2017 and March 2018). It is a well known fact, that Andrej Babiš purchased, through his company Agrofert certain media, for example Mladá fronta DNES and Lidové noviny, in the year 2013. This thesis discusses introducing CNC machining centers to the markets of the European Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States (currently the Eurasian Economic Union). The first chapter of the thesis focuses on the legal requirements for placing the products on the markets of the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, their comparison, systematic analysis of the problem, and certification schemes. The second chapter of the thesis analyses safety requirements for CNC machining centers, discusses CNC machines checklists development and their comparison for the markets of the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Czech Republic was chosen because of the origin of the author and her studies of the Czech law. England was chosen as a place where the institutional arbitration has a long tradition and as one of the birthplaces of the arbitration. The thesis is focused on the comparison of the legal acts which regulates the arbitration in these two countries and the arbitration rules in compliance with which the arbitral proceedings is carried on in front of the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic in Prague and in front of the London Court of Institutional Arbitration. This thesis aims to present and analyse economic relations between Czechoslovakia and Argentina in the years 1945-1989 (i.e. a period that almost precisely coincides with the duration of the Cold War. The work focuses on a historical analysis of primary sources and archival documents of the Czechoslovak Federal Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. This material was selected in light of the rarity of secondary literature devoted to this area. To a certain extent, this is a pioneering work, especially given the fact that the archives of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Trade have not yet been declassified and still enjoy only limited usage (processing) in a single publication. One primary function of foreign trade with the Latin American countries (with the obvious exception of Cuba) was to foster good relations between South America and Czechoslovakia during the Cold War. The study of this use of trade as a foreign policy instrument can provide useful lessons about pragmatic considerations to be borne in mind when designing foreign policy as a whole. The thesis presents new findings on the topic and attempts what may constitute the most comprehensive attempt to address economic relations between the aforementioned countries within a defined period.

This thesis focuses on the theme of the journey and the changes that occur in the socio-historical context of the Great Depression as well as in John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. The thesis is an expository piece on road literature, its features and how the chosen novel has earned its rightful place in the American oeuvre, specifically that of road literature. The thesis is separated into two major parts. The former part provides the reader with a socio- historical context of the Great Depression as well as a background on the historical patterns of the 'journey' in America and how these two aspects are interrelated in the context of this thesis. The latter part constitutes the analysis of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath by including the authorial relationship to the novel and the many aspects of the novel as studied through the scope of road literature. This part is further expanded by a close-up analysis of the changes in identity of characters in The Grapes of Wrath. The primary focus is on the notion of change and how it is connected to the notion of the road, including how the human being stands between these notions and is transformed in the process. The thesis examines media interpretation of the Greek financial crisis in selected Czech media. It analyzes framing of this issue in Czech daily newspapers MF DNES, Právo, Hospodářské noviny and Lidové noviny in period of the first five months of 2010 (1.1 - 28.5.2010). Theoretical part of this thesis is based on Robert Etman's concept of framing, which was defined in early 90's. The main research question is which aspects of the Greek financial crisis were selected, and/or emphasized by Czech media and what interpretations were created using these constructions. The analysis is focused on qualitative research of selected articles using method of grounded theory. With this method it comes to interpretation of the Greek financial crisis in Czech media, detailed understanding of analyzed texts and setting up basic means of framing that are used by journalists. Quantitative analysis is exploring selected population of articles in specific period of time and answering basic research questions (How was crisis framed? How daily newspapers interpretation varied? In which way was the crisis interpreted from the perspective of Czech political scene? How did framing changed in time?). This work is an analysis of a topic that until now has been practically no research, the relations of Czechoslovakia and Venezuela in the years 1945 - 1968, while this work focuses attention on diplomatic and economic relations, it also considers the influence of domestic politics in these countries, explaining the context of these international relations, specifically of the United States, Soviet union and Cuba. The thesis is primarily based on material from the archives of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Czech Republic and also the National Archive of the Czech Republic. Diplomatic relations between these countries were established in 1929, after the Munich Agreement of 1938, the embassy of Czechoslovakia in Caracas was closed. After World War II. economic relations were re-established. This was really important because the commercial interest of Czechoslovakia helped to establish the diplomatic relations. Diplomatic relations were discontinued by Venezuela in 1952 during the dictatorship of general Marcus Pérez Jiménez. When the dictator was overthrown in 1958, diplomatic relations were gradually re-established, once more through economic relations and finally established in 1968. The main aim of this thesis are two Czech nationwide daily newspapers Hospodářské noviny and Mladá fronta Dnes. This thesis focuses on graphics relaunches which these newspapers passed in years 2009 and 2010. It deals with question, how the graphics changes influenced appearance of these newspapers, their content and the position on the media market. This composition responsibly took the opportunity to show the reader in detail, how these newspapers have changed the look of the headlines, elaboration of photos, colors and other graphics components. Along with it the thesis analyses the content changes, such as stylistics or the way of submitting information. Last but not least it gives the comparison of the earning power of these newspapers, position of their publishers Economia and Mafra as well as interviews with publishers representatives.
