Fröström, Daniel, Brandt, David January 2014 (has links)

Social Media Marketing : Social media impact on brand awareness in the case of Husqvarna Sverige's customers

Kljucanin, Nermin, Shahbazi, Said, Pourjanekikhani, Pouyan January 2012 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to understand how brand awareness among customers is created and maintained through the use of social media as a marketing tool. The web does not only provide people to socialize and share and receive information among friends and family online, it is also a powerful marketing tool and marketing place where the customer can interact with other customers and firms. Social media has made it possible for customer to choose on their own when and where they want to receive information. The customers do not have to visit a firm's homepage; they can instead interact withother customers that have experienced a specific product or brand via the social media channels. Hence social media channels are environments where the customers set the rules and WOM makes or breaks the product. We used a mixed method approach. To gather our empirical data we used a questionnaire which we did send out to Facebookusers whom likes Husqvarna Sverige's page to answer about their perceptions of Husqvarna and their social media activity. We did also an interview with Anna Lindman, project manager at Husqvarna.Social media marketing is successful when online activities, relationship marketing and brand awareness are used in conjunction. All these parts are connected to each other and haveto be fulfilled if a firm wants to be successful in social media. This will influence the customer’s purchasing behavior andcould lead to an increase of sales (Miller & Lamas, 2010). The respondents answer from the questionnaire show that Husqvarna needs to be more active and participating online.

Auto Deco Primer Valve

Ekström, Johan, Mickelsson, Rikard January 2012 (has links)

Ragnarsson, Isac, Rosdahl, Viktor January 2023 (has links)
This report will investigate and go through the steps required to develop several concepts for afuel cell-powered battery charger to be used in the field by Husqvarna AB. The purpose is togather information about available fuel cell technologies and provide an understanding of howthese concepts could look in both the present and the future. Through an examination ofprevious studies in the field, it has been determined that the most suitable types of fuel cells arePEMFC and DMFC. Additional information has been collected from various sources, such asthe internet, books, and through contact with fuel cell manufacturers and Husqvarna AB.Three different fuel cells were chosen, each of which was assigned a unique concept. Two ofthese concepts are more future-oriented, aiming to provide a better idea of how the productcould look if the requirements are strictly followed. The third concept demonstrates how theproduct would need to appear and the features required to be more suitable for the present. Finally, a comparison was made where the technical characteristics of concepts were pittedagainst each other, and weighted requirements showed that the concept containing EFOY´s12000 pro fuel cell moved forward.

A Study of Small Engine Testing

Josefsson, Eric, Henningsson, Henrik January 2015 (has links)
Today the environmental issues are a lot on the agenda and the environmental awareness are more and more common. New laws and restrictions on engines emissions are enforced and the demand on the engines gets higher and tougher. This leads to the engine testing playing a more crucial part than ever. Engine tests are done using an engine dynamometer. The dynamometer loads the engine by, in many different ways, absorbing the power and torque generated by engine. The most important functions of a dyno are to convey the power from the engine to the dyno, to load the engine, to measure the power and torque generated by the engine and to remove the excess heat that is generated. Husqvarna is a Swedish company that produces garden and forest cutting tools, their most famous products are their chainsaws. Husqvarna does an extensive amount of engine testing, long time testing, functional testing and field testing. Some functional tests, such as start-ability after use is done in a climate chamber where the humidity and temperature can be set. Today, loading a chainsaw in -25 °C is a problem due to the fact that the most used dynamometer at Husqvarna is a water brake that freezes in minus degrees. This master thesis will answer the question on how to, for small engine, simulate the load that occurs during normal use of the engine and how to develop a dynamometer suitable for Husqvarna’s needs? The focus when developing the dynamometer will lie on solving the problem with minus degrees and having a good detachable coupling between the dyno and the chainsaw. The result is a hydraulic oil dynamometer. A hydraulic pump is attached to the guide bar and chainsaw using a detachable key way coupling and bearings. By controlling restriction of the flow in the hydraulic system the load can be controlled and also ultimately the RPM of the chainsaw. The hydraulic oil works fine in the minus degree as long as the right oil with the right viscosity range is used although a problem with the small chainsaws are that they are not reaching the full RPM in -25 °C. Mainly because of the backpressure created by the components in the system. This can be solved by minimizing the hydraulic systems total flow restriction. However this problem doesn’t affect the testing methods as long as the chainsaw easily can be disconnected and freed from the dynamometer and then be run to full RPM which the coupling between the pump and chainsaw enables.

Development of heat element at Husqvarna AB 2019 : Development of heat element for the handle on petrol driven chain saws.

Broman, Anders, Morad, Roland January 2019 (has links)
Throughout Jönköpings University has a bachelor thesis at Husqvarna AB been done, were the main focus is to develop the existing heating element. On the existing front and rear handle is where the heating element are placed and the material the handles are made of is aluminum respectively plastic. These handle are also called the reference at Husqvarna AB. To be able to have different type of concepts was a method called concept generating, where these concepts were developed and later on eliminate nonrealistic ideas. During the project there was a lot of visits at several companies to be able to see the production and have a meeting with them. PTC-technology was the chosen heating element for this project and stands for “Positive Temperature Coefficient” and is a self-regulating heating element. PTC has a low inner resistance until it reaches the temperature that it is manufactured for to maintain a more stable heating level. Tests were made on the concepts that was given against the reference to see which concept that is most suitable for further development. Different methods and theories was used to be able to create tools for embossing the front handle, which later on got heat-treated. The existing heating element is based on the amount of rounds per minute the flywheel rotates which result in different heating levels for the consumer. PTC technology gives a more stable heating level for such system with various rotational speed. Husqvarna AB’s purpose with this thesis is to develop a more stable heating element on the XPG chainsaws. This thesis ended with a result of two different winning concepts which was given recommendations for how they could further be developed to be possible to replace the existing heating element.

Konceptstudie av gräsuppsamlare / Concept study of grass collector

Valizoda, Sulaymon, Gustavsson, Oscar January 2018 (has links)
This report describes the degree project by Oscar Gustavsson and Sulaymon Valizoda during the spring term 2018 at School of Engineering in Jönköping. The thesis has been carried out for Husqvarna AB in cooperation with Semcon AB as a final part of the authors’ education to engineers in Mechanical Engineering, Product development and Design. Within the company Husqvarna AB development and renewal are of great interest. In their development of grass collectors, this mission was assigned where the goal was to create new concepts and solutions to a grass collector belonging to one of Husqvarna AB's existing walk behind lawn mowers. The aim was to reduce the amount of spilled grass that lands on the ground and making it easier for the user to empty the collector after the grass has been collected. The work has been carried out as a concept study where a selected product development process has been implemented. The different phases and methods of the process from pilot studyto prototype are described to clarify how their approaches have been used. During the project a requirement specification was defined which specifically described what would be fulfilled and which could be followed as a basis in the development of concepts. To give this thesis a theoretical background, theories about the product development process, computer-aided design, vacuum forming, steel and welding joints has been applied. The study resulted in a final concept that were further developed and prototyped. The concept was considered by Husqvarna AB to be the best concept to proceed with.Testing and evaluation were performed on the prototype where the work was limited to. Further more, Husqvarna AB is able to continue the development and use the information from the work, which hopefully can be a helpin the development of a better grass collector.

Development of an analytical model of the safety brake system for a chainsaw

Olsson, Martin, Låstberg, Walter January 2018 (has links)
The safety braking system with the hand guard is the most important safety equipment for the user of a chainsaw. The safety system prevents serious injuries caused by a kickback. A kickback is when the running chain suddenly gets stuck e.g. by getting stuck in wood or hit a rock. Due to the potentially serious consequences of a kickback, the braking system has to fulfil strict requirements formulated by the authorities. In the present thesis, a generic analytical model of the braking system for a typical Husqvarna chainsaw is developed. The model is implemented as an Excel work sheet, which will facilitate future projects. The thesis includes sections of analytical calculations with information provided from both Catia and resources at Husqvarna. Several experiments were accomplished to strengthen and prove the analysis. The torque, index and activation force are tested. The static activation force is then completed in a simulation program to provide spread in the model. The parameters with most impact are also detected in the Excel simulation. A matrix of testing is constructed with parameters outside the tolerances for the dynamic experiment. Due to the collected data of the test, the relation between the two types of activation can be established. In comparison between samples of production with the simulation on equal numbers of 24 tests gave adifference on 4.75 % in mean value. 6 out of 32 tests could not be approved within the authorities’requirements for the acceleration with respect to the higher tolerances than production in the testing matrix. The most significant parameters for the static force were the brake spring and the angle of the knee joint. For the dynamic activation, the dimensions of the knee joint is crucial. Reasoning for errors are implemented in the discussion section e.g. the importance of data for the band. To improve the accuracy of the model a section of future work contains suggestments. One suggestion for improvement is to deliver more production values to ensure the comprehension of the experiments.
