The theme Organizacional Culture was chosen for the development of this research project for
approaching socially constructed and significant symbolic elements, which interpretation
allows understanding the organizational life in depth. In this study, the approach was
qualitative and descriptive. As a research procedure it was used the ethnographic method. The
techniques of research for data collection were the documentary research, observation,
participant observation and focused interviews. For the data analysis it was used the technique
of content analysis, speech analysis and data triangulation. Such practices were carried out
under the focus of the perspectives of integration, differentiation and fragmentation, which
allowed to apprehend the following cultural manifestations: how things work in the
organization; the way in which offices are arranged; the jokes people tell; the remuneration
policy; the relationship among collogues, supervisors, doctors and the team work. The related
cultural manifestations constitute the categories of analysis of the research. In this way, in
order to solve the research problem the general objective of this study consists of: unmasking
the shared, different and inconsistent interpretations of the different actors, focusing the
cultural manifestations in a hospital in Uberlandia-MG. As specific objective: (I) to
investigate the interpretations of each group of actors with regard to the cultural
manifestations: group of employees of the administrative area, group of employees of the
health area and the clinical body; (II) to examine the interpretations that are shared and
different of each group of the organization; and, (III) to distinguish what is shared and
different in the interpretations among the diverse groups of the organization. The study object
was chosen for its relevance in local level and to be currently becoming a reference in
regional level. From a general analysis, it could be verified from the Integration perspective
the sharing of interpretations of the different actors on the cultural manifestations that arise in
the hospital. The incidence of differentiation elements is also evident. Under the perspective
of fragmentation, it could be observed conflicts, ironies and jokes. This comes to prove that
even in harmonic environment the differences arise and the elements of fragmentation can
also be found.
Tais

This dissertation analyzes traditional gaucho themes as depicted by artist Nelson Jungbluth (1921-2008) in works produced from the second half of the 20th century to the beginnings of the 21st. Works that had been scattered in galleries, books and catalogs are here united and registered in an effort that not only has made possible this present work, but also allows for future ones. Aspects of the artist’s work on illustration, paintings and wall decorations have been analyzed: the gaucho and his outfit, the landscapes, folklore and traditional southern practices. Attention has been paid to the sources used by the artist, to the kind of cultural frame that is presented through the imagery and how they rescue issues from the past under a modern, urban context. The themes in Jungbluth’s work have been analyzed in relation to the constitution and maintenance of the gaucho traditions as they have come to be perceived. Research on the artist’s creative process, as well as the iconographic descriptions and analyses have been produced using semiotics and interpretative anthropology as main tools.

O Universo Mágico-Religioso Negro-Africano e Afro-Brasileiro: Bantu e Nàgó / The universe of negro african and afro-brazilian religion and magic: Bantu and NàgóGiroto, Ismael 04 October 1999 (has links)
Negro culture is studied over two different periods in two distinct locations, firstly in Africa and then in Brazil. In Africa, the main period considered is between the XII and XVI centuries. We synthesized several topics such as geography, history, politics, economy and social organization pertaining to Bantu Africa and West Africa. This context is used to describe daily life, human ideology and significant aspects of magic and religion. Using a dynamic and an interpretative perspective, we analyzed life and death as a cultural process. Also emphasized are the daily rituals and other customs marking important events in individual and communal life, from both a spiritual and a material dimension. Our interpretation of cultures supports our presupposition of unity though diversity and diversity through unity In Brazil, we focused on the transferred religion and its evolution. In a summarized fashion, we characterize the European scenario in between the XVI and XIX centuries. This helps us put into context the slave trade and the ideology of the colonizers during this time. xiii Supported by the concept of reinterpretation, we address the religion of these Africans in their new environment, and search for the beginnings and evolution of a specific system of religion called Candomblé. In spite of a dichotomy between the Nàgó and Bantu rites, we characterize Candomblé as a unified manifestation of Negro culture, and as a form of opposition to the White religion. We also reveal the contradiction experienced by the Candomblé adepts, who were inserted into Western ideology yet continue to practice rites sustained by a traditional African vision of the world. In our interpretative anthropology approach, we utilized the rudiments of relativity theory, and also strived to insert our work within the perspective of esthetic anthropology.
