The main objective of the thesis is the comparison of the systems of foreign investment support in Germany and the Czech Republic in the current situation of economic problems in Europe. The first part explains the term of a foreign direct investment, it describes types of FDI's and theoretical approaches to FDI's. The second chapter deals with the recent economic development in Germany, it describes institutions for investor's support and their programmes. The third chapter is dedicated to the description of the situation in the Czech Republic. The last crucial part compares both states, their systems of investment support and their business environment at all.

The diploma thesis " Support and Protection of Foreign Investments in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria" adresses the issue of analysis of current situation, role and importance of investment incentives in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. It focuses on investment environment in the two countries and its influence on investors' decision making. It deals with the question whether investment incentives are necessary or they cause market distortion and discriminate.

The present thesis aims to evaluate implementation of various methods of asset protection through the example of a real manufacturing company. For this purpose, the thesis summarizes selected theoretical and practical knowledge from the fields of operational management, lean enterprise systems, security systems, financial and investment decision-making.

The thesis is focused on an evaluation of an investment project. Company Lazne Podebrady is making a decision whether to reconstruct one of its main accommodations facilities, hotel Libensky. There are many ways how to evaluate an investment project. Realization of an investment project, as well as its non-realization, has a great impact to a whole company. If the investment is separated from the company, the result could be inaccurate. For this reason the evaluation of the whole company Lazne Podebrady in the case of realization of the investment project and in the case of its non-realization was done. The final value of the investment project was made by simple subtraction of the two sub-results. The result of the thesis is a recommendation to a management of the company, whether the investment project is worthwhile or not.

1 ABSTRACT Implications of Termination of International Investment Agreements The international investment arbitration proceedings under the Washington Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of Other States ("ICSID arbitration proceedings" and "ICSID Convention") represents predominantly used mechanism of Investor-state dispute settlement. The adjudicative system of investment arbitration resolving disputes concerning breaches of foreign investment protection within the territory of the host states granted by bilateral investment treaties ("BITs") faces increasing criticism. The reluctance to abide by the binding awards of the arbitral tribunals on behalf of the host states and evolving displeasure towards the ICSID arbitration system triggered the wave of terminations of international investment agreements initiated by the states of the Latin America. Termination of international investment agreements significantly disturbs the procedural protection of foreign investments and ultimately deprives the foreign investors of the right to have their claims against the host states heard in designated arbitration forum. The purpose of this graduation theses is the proposal of building of a new squash center in the particular locality. The final prospectus goes from the complete analysis of the market in term of potential customers and also of current competition. By the choice of the introduced project versions I take the investment return into account.

The object of this diploma thesis is to make economical evaluation of the investment. This investment is aimed at the area of improving the quality of environment in surroundings of Cementary Plant, a.s. by realisation of by-pass investment into separate dust-exhausting of rotary kiln at the same time. Cementary Plant, a.s. has a place in a market of cementary products especially with dry coat-plasters and mortary mixtures. Environment requirements are extremely strict and their following is highly costly because of the established emission limits. In this diploma thesis I am going to attend an analysis of elaborated investment project, its evaluation and defining realisation benefits.

The diploma thesis analyzes the current situation of a flowmeters production company. Embraces the investment plan for a purchase of the construction hall including also calibration equipment. The second purpose is the expected opportunity to realize production in own facility. As the assignment of thesis we should target to formulate recommendations whether to realize the intended investment.

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of economic security on foreign in-vestments. The thesis examines the issues of economic security and research the motives of investors and the factors that influence investors, when they deciding about entering the market of another country, and the theoretical influence of economic security on foreign investments. Subsequently, this relation is examined in three economies: Czech Republic, Russia and China. For this purpose are done qualitative and regression analysis and are formulated recommendations for im-proving economic security and inflow of foreign investment.

The main objective of the thesis is to develop the system of measures for the increase of public administration effectiveness. For the adequate setting of these measures, the needs and requirements of the public sector bodies for management efficiency and effectiveness were identified. Subsequent objective of this thesis is to describe the priority structure of measures for the increase of public administration effectiveness for the two main groups: 1) state administration, 2) local administration, including the comparison between these two groups. Consequently, the thesis is focused on the development of system measures including the results of Czech and international researches in the area of public administration effectiveness. This system is designed as a graphic-based for the main three types of public administration bodies: - ministries and state organizations and institutions, - regions, - municipalities (cities, towns and villages). The last part of the thesis includes the evaluation of realised measures (projects) focused on the increase of public administration effectiveness subsidised from the Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment. This evaluation proved the high rate of economic return measured by the SROI indicator.
