CFD simulace poryvu bočního větru / CFD simulation of a crosswind gust

Kroupa, Michal January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the investigation of unsteady effects on vehicle that has been exposed to a crosswind gust. First crosswind velocity function was created, which is a function of both time and space. A comparison of continual and trapeze gust model was carried out. Next step was to compare unsteady and quasi-steady evolution of the aerodynamic loads using accumulated forces, surface pressures and flow field around the car. The penultimate part deals with investigation of unsteady behaviour of drag and in the last part the influence of rear geometry of the car on unsteady phenomena was investigated.

Analýza nelineárních jevů v ultrazvukové diagnostice / Analysis of Nonlinear Effects in Ultrasound Diagnostics

Čížek, Martin January 2009 (has links)
The model study of nonlinear effects in the ultrasound diagnostics is focused on developing and experimental verification of new computer algorithms for numerical modeling of the ultrasound field including nonlinear effects accompanying the ultrasound propagation in biological tissues. A theoretical analysis of nonlinearities in ultrasound propagation and their contribution to thermal and mechanical effects of diagnostic ultrasound applications was conducted. A numeric model of ultrasound propagating through a tissue model formed of a set of homogenous layers with defined physical parameters was developed in Matlab environment. The computation of ultrasound field spatial distribution is based on the angular spectrum method. For simulating of nonlinearities Burgers nonlinear wave equation is used. The resulting spatial distribution of the ultrasound field is described by the amplitudes of selected number of harmonic components of the acoustic pressure, by the mechanical index, by the harmonic distortion of the signal and by the spatial peak temporal average intensity of all considered components. The numerical model was experimentally verified using an unique ultrasound measurement system – the ultrasound measurement basin. The verified numeric model was used for assessing the veracity of mechanical index and tissue heating prediction during ultrasound applications in cases when the nonlinear effects are neglected in computations. The reliability of the mechanical index indicated by the diagnostic ultrasound instruments is also evaluated using the designed numeric model. The aim was to compare the indicated value usually obtained by derating the measurements in a water medium to the actual mechanical index present in the insonated tissue.

Simulace fyzikálních jevů s využitím celulárních automatů / Simulation of Physical Phenomena Using Cellular Automata

Martinek, Dominik January 2010 (has links)
This master's thesis deals with modelling and simulation of physical phenomena by cellular automata. The basic methods which model physical phenomena is enumerated and descibed in this thesis. One of the important part of this thesis is a set of demonstration models. Each model is focused on one selected area of physical phenomena. All models are described by transtition rules and the procedure of derivation of these rules is also presented here. There rules were used in implemented models.  Another part of this thesis contains of a simulation application for these models. The real application had been implemented in accord with this design and it has been used to perform the simulation experiments with exemplary models. Results of the simulation experiments are discussed in conclusion of this thesis. One exemplary model had also been adapted for parallel processing. The performances on a computer with different count of working processors were measured and are also discussed in the conclusion of this thesis

Dvouobor jako příležitost být originální / Two-branch study as an opportunity to be original

Doležalová, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
The thesis focuses on the possibility of designing an original concept of integration of art education with English language. The theoretical part primarily deals with the issues of creativity and originality in teaching art education, with the possibility of connecting art education and English language education and with the concept of language as a code. In the didactic-research part a didactic project based on authorial approach to integration of English language in art education is created, put into practice and critically evaluated. The first realization of the project aims to verify the possibility of its conduction and to evaluate the project from students' point of view. It is followed by the second realization, which is used for purposes of a research inquiry focused on gathering findings concerned with the integration of art education with English language in the realization of authorial project of interdisciplinary teaching. In the research part author's own reflections of the lessons, selected reflections of the students and selected students' art works (gathered during the realization of the project) are analysed. The inquiry includes questionnaires focused on teaching approaches of art teachers at school where the project took place. Combined partial findings conclude to specific...

Problematika intenzivních chovů hospodářských zvířat z environmentálního hlediska

Střelcová, Anna January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issue of intensive livestock farming. Literary review describes the definition of the term, the historical development of meat consumption including the development of livestock farming and the current legislative framework of the issue. Furthermore, the negative impact of intensive farming on the environment, human health and livestock itself is discussed. The ethical level of the topic and possible existing alternatives are also outlined. The research part analyzes the results of the research based on the application of the methodology of the field research, the methodology of observation using the ethogram, the methodology of statistical evaluation and the comparative methodology. There are described and compared behaviors in intensive and alternative cow and hen breeding in different seasons of the year. Based on the results, the fulfillment of the ethological needs of farmed animals and their welfare are assessed. The evaluation of the results confirms the hypothesis that intensive breeding of dairy cows and laying hens does not meet the ethological needs of farmed animals.

Vliv násilí v médiích na agresivitu dítěte / How Violence in Media Influences Aggressiviveness of a Child

Krejčová, Lenka January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis is called The Influence of Violence in Media on the Aggressiveness of Child. It mainly attends to enquieries of if and how are the adolescents influenced by violence conveyed by our media. It focuses on a selected group of adolescents who display violent behaviour more often and strongly than others. It examines their relationship to media, understanding medial violence and their leisure time activities. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part is mainly oriented on defining aggressiveness and determining the characteristics of the period of adolescence. It analyses respective kinds of media and theoretical findings about the influence of violence in media on the aggressiveness of adolescents. Last but not least it mentions the matters of media education. The empirical part consists of two parts. The first of them tries to find out how the adolescents perceive media, if these are a source of information, fun or other activities for them. Furthermore it attempts to find out if adolescents who express themselves more aggressively within a group are the ones who more often seek out media programmes with violent content. The thesis describes the quantitative research results that we obtained. The second part also contains worksheets intended...
