The dissertation thesis dealt with the managerial competencies in the small manufacturing enterprises in the Czech Republic. The research aimed to examine the current level of these competencies on the sample of top managers of those enterprises. The chosen topic is topic of current importance due the competency development for enhancing the managerial performance. The thesis elaboration was based on the detailed literature review of national and international publications in the respected scientific journals, and on the in-depth analyses conducted through the primary researches. The main objective of the dissertation thesis was to detect the competency level of top managers in the small manufacturing enterprises in the context of business management and to identify the key variables influencing the discovered competency level and on the basis of research findings provide recommendations for further competency development. The main objective was supported with four partial objectives and five research hypotheses. On the basis of results of executed pilot research on managerial competencies the model of managerial competencies was established, and further verified in the author’s primary research. Within the data analysis and data evaluation, the competency level was formed. The dependences of competencies on examined variables were tested empirically. Those variables were sex, length of current and total practice, age, ownership and education. The aggregated research results were compared with the literature review and based on this comparison, the recommendations for further managerial competency level improvement were provided. The conclusions and further research aims form the integral part of the dissertation thesis.

The thesis deals with possible applications of literary texts in teaching of czech as a foreign language. The first part summarizes the position of literature within the framework of respective methodical directions both in the past and today and also what status is attributed to literature in teaching of foreign languages by contemporary education legislation (especially the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The work also includes an analysis of czech language textbooks for foreigners and of other publications based on the inclusion frequency of literary excerpts, on their type and potential didactic utilization. The theoretical part of the thesis contains chapters, which deal with the significance of literature in the teaching of foreign languages, in particular with literary texts and the definition of reader's competence, which are an important basis for the practical part of the work. The practical part contains four lesson proposals built upon working with specific literary texts (one prosaic and three poetic texts). Final thesis describes to what extent the current school practice puts attention to personality qualities of headteacher in area of leadership. The topic is based on the experience, knowledge and abilities that use the present headmasters of elementary schools in practice. The aim of the work and selected combined investigation using methods of "shadowing" of structured and unstructured interviews and a questionnaire survey was to describe the extent to which personal qualities headteacher of elementary schools appear in contemporary educational practice in area of leadership. In the theoretical part, the author focused on gathering information from a wide resource that can provide a wider range of these areas (psychology, leadership, self-management, self-esteem, etc.). The thesis deals with the use of competences and competency model as an effective tool of personnel management of the organization. Competency - based / HR / Management (CBM) is an actively used model primarily in the commercial sphere. However, in recent years, more and more government organizations have also approached this governance model. The theme of this thesis is to design a managing system of a particular group of financial advisors through managing a development of competences. In this work, you will learn about financial advisory field, the broker group and the specific business team, for which the proposal was created. To be successful as a financial advisor, an associate needs to master variety of competences. The ability to manage the work results is especially connected with manager's skills to control the team members' capability of achieving the targeted results and therefore his ability of controlling their competence levels. The suggested competence model is created for needs of the particular business team and is based on objective methods. The model is further used as a management tool. This is allowed by adding a rule of use and an evaluation system. The design of the system implementation contains a recommendation for introduction into the firm and a financial evaluation of the implementation investments.

The thesis focuses on a concept of communicative competences in the curricula at the stage of pre-school education and introduces the possibilities of development of these competences in kindergarten. The theoretical part outlines issues of curriculum, key competences and communicative competences in the context of pre-primary education. The research is a presentation of qualitative-quantitative research, which aimed to analyze the concept of communicative competences in the curricula of kindergartens and based on direct observation to find out, how kindergarten teachers meet the communicative competences at this stage of education, how to diagnose them and what opportunities provides kindergarten environment to develop pre-school children communication competences. Based on the analysis of curriculum documents of selected kindergartens we found that schools include communicative competences in their conceptual materials and attach great importance to them, even if these documents have different content and formal level. This diploma thesis deals with the topic of time management as one of the managerial competencies needed to successfully perform managerial work. The diploma thesis shows a theoretical point of this theme, its application in practice and empirici research. VISUAL MEMORY AS A DETERMINANT OF COMMUNICATIVE AND LEARNING COMPETENCIES IN PUPILS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT ABSTRACT: This submitted work concentrates on visual perception, especially on visual memory and related attention in children and pupils with hearing impairment, which from the theoretical point of view represents the most important compensatory sense for this group of people. The main part of the submitted paper consists in presenting the results of a research survey observing the levels of visual perception and attention in children and pupils in the age group 6 to 8 years old, as well as on comparing them with results achieved by a group of hearing children and pupils of the same age range. We chose four subtests focused on the current state of visual memory and attention. These subtests constitute a part of two standardized tests. The following analysis of the gained data was used to validate our hypotheses regarding the influence of the compensatory mechanism applied when processing visual inputs by people with hearing impairment existing on the level of the central nervous system.
