Relativní početnost jako kognitivní kompetence u primátů / Relative numerosity discrimination in primates

Moravcová, Anna January 2019 (has links)
This work is focused on numerical competence in primates specifically focusing on relative numerosity, one of the many aspects of these cognitive abilities. Relative numerosity is an ability to discriminate a larger quantity from a smaller amount or smaller quantity from a larger amount and could be classified as one of the easiest numerical competence. In this work I have summarized the present knowledge of numerical competences in primates, which have been so far studied only in a few species of primates, most of them was rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta) and chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes). In the experimental part I focused on the research of relative numerosity in rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta). The goal of my work was to find out whether macaques are able to solve the problem of relative abundance with different types of stimuli. Another goal was to find out whether they are able to generalize information about relative abundance and whether they can apply it for new design of the task. The results confirm that macaques possess the ability of relative numerosity and are able to abstract stimuli that are differing in their character. This proves that they are not learning to recognize a particular stimul, but are able to use this numerical skill on any type of stimul. I also found out that...

The area of competence in nursing professions is elaborated as a supplement chapter, to the overall view of current issues. The empirical part includes eleven interviews with nurses in senior positions (ward and head nurses in hospitals), the topics of which are processed in the theoretical part. The interviews were processed as thematic analysis with the help of open coding. Particularly, data obtained from a discussion group of nurses on social networks was used to illustrate the situation. The final part of the thesis contains the evaluation of the interviews, the answers to the research questions, the comparison of the opinions of the respondents with the publicly...

Kompetence tazatele při práci s traumatickými životními vzpomínkami narátorů: možnosti a meze využití psychoterapeutických přístupů v orálně-historické praxi / Interviewer's competencies in working with narrator's traumatic life memories: psychotherapeutic approaches in oral history practice - possibilities and limits

Jaroš, Martin January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis is working with the method of grounded theory and aims by means of interdisciplinary synthesis contributing to the enrichment of values for researchers practicing the method of oral history, who's become its current representatives. Diploma thesis that is based on the premise that connection of historical sciences and psychologies or practical psychotherapy (which have a certain ethical-moral appeal and have a broader knowledge of the human soul) could be enriching for the practice of oral history. Research of psychological and psychotherapeutic approaches to the practice of oral history is not just a theoretical self-synthesis, but the work is enriched by practical experiences from clinical practice of auxiliary specialists (psychologists and therapists), who were asked about theoretical questions firstly, then about few questions about trauma presence in typical interviews with four narrator. Narrator`s participate in project "Memory of the Nation" and it is possible to assume potential existence of trauma inside them - looking at their life experiences. Uncut version of the material - without proofreading contains the potential inventions of the interviewers. One of the starting point of the work is that part of the population met with trauma (means a strong stressor) in...

Komunikace mezi vyučujícími a rodiči / Collaboration of teachers and parents

Nováková, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
The subject of this thesis is teacher-parent communication and cooperation with school management within this communication. The research took place in two Prague schools, high school and grammar school. Qualitative methods were applied for the analysis. Data were acquired via in-depth interviews with six teachers and two school psychologists. The main goal of the empirical research was to map how teachers perceive communication with parents and assess cooperation with school management in this communication. The results of the analysis suggest that there are many similar elements in teacher-parent communication. The communication usually takes place during formal class meetings with parents and via group e- mails. In case of problems teachers contact parents by phone or meet them individually in person. The variability in the category content of one teacher and in the frequency profile of the other teacher seems to be closely related to the risks associated with communication. One of the risks is crossing the boundaries of school competence by parents. In the latter case, there was a vague delineation of boundaries and the confluence of school and family competences. Kompetence vedoucího akademického pracovníka vzdělávací organizace / Competences of senior academics at the educational organization

Doležalová, Helena January 2020 (has links)
The thesis deals with the definition of the term competence and competency model of a senior academic at a university. The term "competence" can be understood as a set of knowledge, skills, abilities, habits, attitudes and values of a given individual that enable him/her to perform "with competence" in some area of his/her activity. It is also possible to describe in this way the ability of a person to act correctly in a certain situation based on the use of their own resources (abilities, skills, knowledge, etc.). The definitions of competencies of staff working in educational institutions are important not only in the curriculum, where the individual in the educational field affects the personal development of individuals or groups, but also in terms of staff hierarchy, including the definition of responsibilities and competences. The thesis defines such terms as executive and university; this type of schools can be further divided into public, state and private universities. The diploma thesis analyzes the competences of senior academics at the university, deans of faculties and heads of departments/institutes, examined on a sample of public universities based in Prague. These competences are then compared with each other, it is a comparison of the competencies of the deans of the faculties and...
