This diploma thesis considers different attitudes to evaluation of lower heating value of municipal solid waste as a main parameter of calculation of effectiveness incineration process. Modification of general relation is done to calculate lower heating value by using methodology BREF/BAT for real plant. The next step is evaluation of lower heating value within measured data. Following part of this thesis is focused on establishing thermal efficiency of incineration boiler by using direct, indirect and “modified” indirect methods and statistical analyses of them. Analysis of important quantities, which enters the calculation of thermal efficiency, is realized. The establishment of measurement error in measuring these main parameters is done as well.

This diploma thesis presents Hnutí ANO 2011 as a Czech local governance participant. Having put emphasis on ANO's local organizations, the diploma thesis deals with particular situations in selected statutory cities during the 2014-2018 electoral cycle. As the electoral cycle went by, internal problems in local organizations emerged which ended up with party board abolishing some of the organizations. Coalitions in which ANO participated also were affected by those problems. In some cities, however, coalitions persisted and ANO local organizations had not suffer with internal problems, study of which also became a part of the research in the thesis. Having a strong leader from the business environment and limited membership, ANO 2011 is considered to be a business-firm party focused on marketing strategies and external specialists. As a typical business-firm party instance Forza Italia can be named, established in 1990s by Italian businessman and future prime minister Silvio Berlusconi. Business-firm party character of ANO may affect local governance where ANO's local organizations follow ANO party board's instructions and those organizations lack of autonomy to make their own political decisions.

Srbová, V. The Economical Aspects of Waste Management in the Czech Republic. Diploma Thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno,2017. This diploma thesis desribes the trends in waste management in the Czech Republic and the implementation of waste management in the regions and their development in time. Further, it concerns in the economics of waste management in the Czech Republic, that is above all in the production of waste based on regions, its subsequent processing, municipal waste. An econometric model is created based on the data available. This model meets the requirements of a classical regression model. An analysis of waste production in the Czech Republic in period between 2002 - 2015 is carried out via time series analysis. Graphical and numerical outputs suitable for the illustration of the particular problem are created. The data used were comming from the databases of the Czech Statistical Office, the Czech Ministries and their organizational bodies, organizations dealing with waste.

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the waste management of the town of Letohrad. The first part is focused on the legislation related to the waste management at the municipal level. It sums up duties and competences of a town resulting from the legislation. The description of the current state of the waste management of Letohrad follows, including the used methods of waste collection, waste processing, reuse or disposal. The door-to-door collection of paper, plastic, beverage cartons and metal, and the way of remuneration for sorting those commodities are described thoroughly. Further, the analysis of the amounts of municipal waste produced in the town is performed, including the comparison with the production of the Czech Republic and the Pardubice Region. In the final part, changes of the current waste management system of Letohrad are proposed.

Under the current waste legislation in both European Union and Czech Republic, material recovery is preferred over other types of municipal solid waste treatment. However, waste collection systems have negative environmental impacts. This thesis deals with modeling and optimization of waste collection routes, which should lower their impact. The model makes use of the ArcGIS software system and operations research to optimize routes. Inputs of the model are the amount of waste produced in the region, locations of the final facilities, and their capacities. The amount of waste produced per district was estimated to be the portion of total waste produced corresponding to the number of inhabitants of given district. Final facilities are the assorting lines. Distances between districts and final facilities were computed by Network Analyst Extension of ArcGIS. The index method assigns the assorting lines to districts in a way that minimizes total distance traveled by waste collection vehicles, while respecting the capacity of the assorting lines. Outputs are waste collection routes and the distance, per waste type, traveled by the waste collection vehicles. Josef Bernard Dizertační práce Local politics in small municipalities and its informal aspects Abstract The subject of the thesis is the analysis of political processes in local government of small municipalities in the Czech Republic. The author focuses particularly on the question how do the activities of local government influence the different aspects of local life. The goals of local government, the negotiation of these goals and the role of different local government members in achieving these goals are examined. The thesis is based on three theoretical approaches - on the theories of local communities and their development, on the social capital theory and on theories of local political leadership. Different types of empirical data are used in the thesis: qualitative interviews and non-standardized observation of political processes in selected municipalities, questionnaire data and census data as well as other accessible statistical data on local communities and municipalities in the Czech Republic. The analyses have proved that local governments in small municipalities can be regarded as specific types of community interaction fields. This work concerns other unions of the right-wing or the center parties in the Czech Republic too, and searches an answer for the question, if it is an alliance. Primarily this work deals with the alliance of TOP 09 and STAN, which were established in 2009. It also deals with differencies of this alliance on the state, regional and local level, and searches any cleveages of this alliance on the state, regional or local level. This work also searches the answer for the question, what the perspectives of this alliance in the future are. The first agreement about the alliance was confirmed in 2009. The second agreement was confirmed in 2013. This agreement enables free relationship between TOP 09 and STAN on the regional and local levels.

Diploma thesis Municipal Secessions after 1989 in District of Česká Lípa deals with a wave of disintegration of municipalities which took place immediately after a restoration of democracy in the Czech Republic. The thesis discusses the following subjects: the development of municipal administration in the Czech lands, the current position and function of municipality, basic aspects of democratization on a local level, territorial fragmentation, local development, the concept of secession, and legislative conditions for the foundation of new municipalities in the Czech Republic and administrative development in the district of Česká Lípa on which is this paper focused. Thesis on Phytotocity leachate from landfills Štěpánovice deals with basic concepts and legislation related to municipal waste and landfill in theoretical part. There are also procedures in waste management, their hierarchy, and statistical evaluation of the amount of multicipan waste. Another part of a literature search is aimed at monitoring water, general description of the storage process and general description of phytotoxicity. The practical part describes the process of solid municipal waste landfill Štěpánovice, its natural circumstances, locations and the integration in the territory. There is also described and discussed experiment which was realized by semi-chronic toxicity leachate method with white mustard (Sinapis alba L.). Followed by evaluation of the results and their interpretation in the current comparison of results with other writers.
